How can someone lose a money order and expect you to pay double lol this isn’t the first time. Fraud people scam shady people who work here and can’t fix anything no one never works they just fill a warm seat and collect everyone money. Don’t leave me a lame response like everyone else. First of all I applied in the middle of December was told mapartment would be ready December 27thThat got pushed back to 1/5 then 1/7 then 1/11. I then got keys to finally see the place the 12th. There was a toilet with no handle broken light fixtures and no AC/Heat which was the reason for the delay so I was told. Since then after being promised daily someone would get to it . As of today nothing has been done and I have had to pay for somewhere else to live because of the cold. Moved to the Melia apartment in September and no maintenance has been done. I have called and came into the office several times the look on there face even the managers is an I don’t care attitude and broken promises and not worried about my concerns. This place is robbery. The Water is leaking out of the shower, mold, weird yellow stuff leaking from all the air vents. Floor sinking in, my disposal is broken, dish washer doesn’t work. Holes in the bathroom walls. As of 12/22/21 we still have no HOT WATER. I can’t believe this. They refuse to fix anything and don’t answer any questions! I don’t know what is happening behind doors but it’s getting bad it’s been 2 weeks! My own mental health is deteriorating. They said they are waiting for parts abs we have NO updates. And for Christmas, I probably won’t have hot water….for Christmas. This is unacceptable. And the only thing I’ll get from these apartments is a automated message.

Been here for a year never had issue until new management took over . All I am trying to do is to pay my rent they keep telling me the online portal is down it's been 4 months and still being told the online portal is down I suffer from anxiety, depression and panic attack very difficult for me to go withdraw the money, go get money order then come to the office to pay my rent and I have to call the office to get my balance and to get hold of someone at the office very difficult I have called 20times today they don't answer, or hang up the phone. It's mind boggling to me to make it this difficult

No hot water for a week they say they are working on it but it’s been a week. Attempted to reach the about leaking/ broken sinks they say someone will come in to fix it’s been 2 months and no one has come. Anyone who knows me personally knows I never complain. That changes today. November 29th, 2021 was the last day that I had hot water in my apartment. Winter officially began today, and I really hope I don't have this issue when winter really begins in January and February. I have done everything to get this fixed. New mgmt as of December 2021, SUCKS. Amber in front office is horrible, no people skills, probably fat. Maintenance request put in early November still hasn't been observed or completed. Horrible. Amenities are filthy as well as the surrounding grass around the apartment. Definitely trying to leave this place ASAP.

Don’t even TRY calling this place. Resident or not. The new management team will either flat out NOT answer, or hang up on you. We have a three year old child, and There has been NO HOT WATER going on day 4 and they have yet to do ANYTHING to fix the situation. They will tell you “we’re working on it and it should be fixed today” but it never is! You have to actually go INSIDE of the office to talk to someone face-to-face about your problem.
We lived here going on 2 years and NEVER had this happen until the new management showed up.. NEW management doesn’t always mean BETTER. Save yourself

Hot water leaking out of bath has lead to mold I'm constantly cleaning away. The other bath doesn't drain and A/C hasn't worked in weeks.
Management keeps promising maintenance is coming. Tomorrow, tomorrow, After weekend, they were busy, tomorrow, tomorrow. Then they'll say under new management and start the whole thing over again.

New management same thing. i submited a 60 day notice for leaving this place and the nee management just told the old management didnt leave that on the sysmtem. The new management is really being proactive in taking care of the needs of the renters. They are older apartments to be fair but compared to the others around this area the prices are reasonable. going on my 3rd year here and I would recommend.

I believe everyone should be aware of our experience before considering moving into Melia apartments. We moved in November 20th, 2020 and it has been a nightmare since we moved in. Initially we “weren’t allowed to see the apartment” until after we signed the lease which seemed like a red flag but we were told our “renovated” apartments was ready to… move into, which was indeed false. Our “renovated” apartment isn’t quite renovated, the cabinets are old and crooked, our “new” bedroom door has a hole in it, we have broken light fixtures

I have lived here for a year and 7/12 months I have had major plumbing issues. Didn't have water for a whole month. When you put in a service request they never come and help. My door lock broke and I wasn't able to lock my door... they came a week later. Then my door actually just broke so I couldn't even close it...they came a day later. I wasn't able to use my dishwasher for about 5 months... put a service request as soon as it happened and had to put 3 more once my dishwasher started to smell like a sewer. I lived at Melia for just over a year. I've never had a more frustrating experience. Bug treatment fees are non-optional, but I had roaches in my apt. from day 1 to final move out. The public laundry was always broken, infested with bugs, and literally had a stray cat living in the space between the wall and the washers for 6 months. That cat was getting better service than I was.
Need a package delivered to the office? They won't inform you that it has arrived and then they'll lose it. Pothole in the parking lot? Over a year and never addressed. Water pipe burst and flooding the

The only problem I would say I have about this place is their management. Every time I try to contact Eddie (property manager), he’s not available. He doesn’t respond to emails. I have requested many times for… call backs. Never get them back. I don’t have time to sit around and wait for him. When you first meet him, he is nice and friendly. However, you can definitely tell he does not care about residents. He has very poor management. I honestly feel like corporate should know about this so residents that been here for 7+ years (like my boyfriend), don’t leave. He

Definitely don't move here! They're always hiring different people so you're never able to build a relationship and so you're always having to explain your situation over and over again to get anything done. Don't need to tell you about the 'no water' crisis because the other reviews are true! And the office isn't even open on Sunday's, the office is always closed when it's convenient for you. So if you're going to visit make sure to call ahead if this is truly your last resort!

Don't move here. terrible people. terrible service. scammers. common thiefs.

I had a six month lease. Left 2 month notice + notice that I wasn't renewing lease 30 days before moving out. It's in paper. Four weeks later I get a call from a debt collector saying I owe THE WORST apartment complex in the world two months rent for ending lease early + 285$ AFTER my deposit was deducted for damages to the apartment.


1) I lived their 6 months and my only furniture was a bed... how could I possibly do that much damage?
2) In honestly... I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved

We moved in here August of 2017. We never had any problems except for the cabinets needed to be repaired, which they did the first month of our move in date. All of our problems started when this new management came in during the summer of 2018. Roaches, busted light outside of our apartment, and water problems. We have been without water either longer than they said or just randomly. There have been potholes that only get temporarily fixed, and the rate we lose hot water is inhuman. I havent got anything for my money. I gave 150 .00 for administration fee and app fee. I was told I would hear something that afternoon. I didn't. I waited patiently..I called tuesday and the person answering the phone took my info and said they would have someone back with me before closing time..nothing happenas.. I was patient and called back the following Saturday as well as an email. I get a call with lots of stupidity..I exained I had filled out an app. Gave them my pay info and money. I was told that will call money. I basically gave them money for nothing... A scam .I wouldnt be upset

This place is a nightmare; please trust the reviews when we say do not live here. The neighbors are cool, mostly working class families who keep to themselves. However, management is incompetent bordering on malicious, maintenance takes a month to fix basic issues and the grounds are strewn with trash and broken glass.
Told us three times that they were able to get the right apartment- put us in the wrong type of apartment and threatened to revoke our lease when we insisted on being put in the right apartment.

My daughter and granddaughter live here for the price which is questionable as to what they have to live with. They were without ac for days maybe weeks in 100degrees temps. Now it appears one of those ac units caught fire inside the wall of another unit and they are dealing with smoke. Don’t hold much hope for restitution

Overall .. I rather be homeless then a resident there.
Worst experience ever! There is no maintenance. The AC Unit in my apartment didn't work for 2 months straight which is unacceptable during this Texas heat. The AC broke 4 days prIor. Called the emergency hotline (horrible customer service.) it was dripping down my floors and wall for two days because maintenance wasn't able to fix the leak. There for, my apartment was full wit roaches. I was forced to move into a different apartment and pay double the rent. They couldn't and wouldn't fix it.

I have had multiple issues during my lease, the AC continuously breaking is at the forefront! It stopped working the day I moved in & 17 months later, we're still having issues. The office is happy to offer no solutions except their apologies. No one to service issues on weekends or offer a window unit. So if you don't enjoy being confined to a hot appartment during Texas summer heat, don't open a lease here!

These people have been ripping off my son since day one. They keep charging him $150+ for utilities while he's getting a bill for utilities from CPS. He can't just say here's the rent, because it's electronic and doesn't let him pay less than what they demand. CPS called themselves and the manager Crystal said "How do I know you're from CPS".… Ridiculous. One of the poorest customer services I've ever seen, and for an apartment complex they management and owners should be ashamed of themselves. I am forced to put 1 star and am extremely upset that I even have to put 1 star. This place is ABSOLUTELY horrible. My husband I lived there with our 2 toddlers ,were model tenants ( no complaints , paid rent in full every month on time) and were treated horribly by maintenance ( leaving huge messes , putting band aids on every work order sent including our ac that was leaking so bad it caused mold , talking rudely to me and slamming my doors) The office staff is no better they have knowledge of anything and every time you ask questions you're given the run around . I would not recommend this property. The Staff are not helpful.
This property charged me 100.00 late fee when the rent was paid on time. When I went in to try to resolve the issue the manager refused to see me. Stated I needed to make an appointment because they were busy.
The were not too busy however to go into my Account and recharge me an… additional 50.00 because "they made a mistake". They were also not too busy to try and beat me to email the regional manager that we were "uncooperative and refused an appointment".
