El Paso is CSC's newest market, joining the CSC portfolio in late summer of 2020. Our first property, Paso Oeste is located on the Westside of town next to UTEP, in the heart of the nicest neighborhood in the city. The absolute worst group of people. They are horrible. The way they run their business- the way they manage their properties- the way they treat their tenants. Disgusting. There are no words. These people are bad people. Wrong in every way. STAY AWAY from doing business with them- do not rent from them- do not try to make any of their apartments your home- you will be put through hell. Especially is Texas where renters have ZERO rights. You are literally at the mercy of their robbery. These folks are severely incompetent at best. This has got to be the worst management company I have ever dealt with. No responses unless of course your rent is due. Please, please avoid yourself the worst living situation in all of Austin Texas. You might be better off pitching a tent under the freeway at least the city might respond faster than anyone at Csc apartment management company!

STAY AWAY. I've lived in one of their properties for two years, and it's easily the worst place I've ever lived.
They don't fulfill maintenance requests even after calling over and over. They even went so far as to lie and say they had taken care of one when they hadn't even been to our unit. The only times I've gotten anything taken care of is after threatening legal action.
They also don't maintain anything. We've been living with broken everything for months. The hall lights are out, the security gates don't work, the pool hasn't been cleaned

Horrible communication. I attempted to apply and transfer to a larger unit with a current resident. I've been trying to get updates on when the unit would be ready and it's been nearly impossible. I have had to call multiple times a day, sent emails, 99% of the time with no response, no follow up. I was told by the end of June, and here it is mid July. To this day I have still not received any notification status and it's been 2 weeks since my last communication with Management. Would give it 0 starts if I could. Just to note, this is my personal experience, it may not be yours and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Just to note, reaching anyone by phone at their office is nearly impossible. Their VM is full, they know this as I have told them, it has been months and they have done nothing about it. Communication is not their strong suite, at least it wasn't for me. I had to come down to the office to discuss my move-in in person the week before I moved bc I was never able to reach anyone over the phone, and no one reached out to me.

This was my experience with CSC management / Cooper Street Capital in Austin, TX. Do not move in. All the units are falling apart and they have done nothing to repair any of them. There is a serious roach and bug problem in all the units and they keep sending exterminators but the bugs keep appearing again. Several neighbors have mentioned the same issues. I've worked at Apple Corporate for 3 years and have a perfect rental history.. my experience with management has been a nightmare. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Do not, I repeat DO NOT... rent from the company at ANY LOCATION. You will receive uninhabitable and unlivable conditions and pay top $ for it! The Management will promise anything to get you moved in, and completely forget everything promised and leave you in the dust! The do not fix maintenance issues and leave you with leaks, no air conditioning, and toilets flushing waste down through the ceiling. They will try to charge you for anything and everything including bogus fees for repairs they are required to handle, they blame anything and everything

Just moved into an apartment at Spanish Trails and NONE of the appliance were working. The place smelled like dead cats and the csc folks don’t return my calls. On top of it all they are sending me random bills for who knows what. I just moved from Queens NYC and in the 10 years I lived there I have NEVER had as many problems as I have in less than a week of living in this place. BEWARE! They will have you living in squalor!

The pictures are what I saw on my second move-in date (They didn't even finish construction the first time so I had to stay in the hotel.) The AC wasn't working, neither do the shower and the kitchen electrical sockets. The windows were in literal filth and rust, with the upper panel coming apart and letting in flies and heat. The bottom of the kitchen cabinet wood was broken so that there were wood crumbles and dust everywhere on the kitchen floor. Overall, it was a not inhabitable condition in any standard. Lived in Miller Square Apartments for one lease term. The management is absolutely awful. Gas leaks. Shoddy repair work, if they ever even acknowledge your maintenance request. They'll let people in to your apartment whenever they want. They massively overcharge for these apartments and will try to scam every penny they can from you. They need to be shut down.

I'm not a negative review person and I typically think those who leave them are petty, but in this case it's an act of altruism. Look into other options. I'm less than 1 month into living here and I've experienced more issues than I can even list. My bathroom floor flooded day 3 into my lease. My washer/dryer has been broken since I moved in, my tub is clogged, my AC doesn't have a filter and it may as well be broken because it's so loud and rattly that I can't hear anything (let alone sleep) while it's on, and my carpet wasn't changed after the previous

THE RETREAT - Don't be deceived by the pictures online and don't believe what you read! I've learned a very valuable lesson after moving in from out of state. If there is a deal that seems too good to be true, it's probably not legitimate. I have severe indoor and outdoor allergies, so when I read the apartment was a SMOKE-FREE COMMUNITY, I was instantly sold when making my decision. Guess what? I've already seen 4 TENANTS who smoke! CSC Management is terrible. Just moved out of on their buildings (Miller Square) after 5 years. It used to be great. Not anymore. The current owners, CSC Management, are terrible! They pay cheaply for maintenance workers so they never last and do bad repair jobs. All of the negative reviews on here and everywhere else are 100% accurate. The positive ones are bs.

This review is for The Retreat. Here's a quick summary of what's happened since I moved in 3 Months Ago:
- Crack head who lives downstairs tried to break into my apartment at 3AM with two guys by trying to break down my door (Was not evicted even though I had to file harassment charges.)
- Took 3 months to get fixes done that I was told would be done before move in
- Had to have their matience come out 6 different times total to fix the shower which is now clogged from the mess they left in it after finally "Fixing it"
- All kitchen drawers are still broken/ dont fit.

A close friend of mine has had to do laundry at my home since August because the machines at Spanish Trails have all been broken since then. Management had the audacity to send an email today saying that it was "good news" that the machines would be replaced by December... more than a month from now. This is just the most flagrant example of how inaccessible and incompetent CSC has shown themselves to be.

They refused to give me back my rent deposit. I left 8/1/2018. It's now 9/ 6/2018 - their agent won't email me back after I contested the deposit, and this has been going on for over a month now. Honestly ridiculous. I have tried calling as well - the office also never picks up the phone. Do not rent here.
UPDATE: They did mail me my rent deposit - two months late (which is against the law in Texas - honestly I should just report them to the Texas Real Estate Commission). I spent the better half of two months trying to receive an itemized list of everything I was charged for to no avail

At the very beginning, early March, we were told that we have gotten the last available spot for a 2/2 unit at Miller square. His name was Lars and he assured us a 2/2 was available. Afterwards, two office changes happened but I was still assured that I had the last unit of the 2/2 and I also got a unit number (107) from a woman named Sarah. I have… also talked with Shelly who said she was getting ready to send the welcoming letters on the following Monday. Then, another office change took place where I talked with Ornella who still assured us that we were going through everything smoothly

I would give them zero stars if possible. This management company took over the apartment complex I lived in for years (Spanish Trails). They have seriously terrible communication. Look at their website and you will find several phone numbers - most of which are disconnected.
They do not respond to most emails and several email addresses provided have ended up bouncing back. Over the past few months as I prepared to move out and ask questions on the process, I have emailed them at their new preferred email and I have yet to get any response.
