What a great spot! Location is amazing, rooms are comfy (dated, but we didn't come to stay in the room), and the staff is super nice. The place is also (surprisingly) quiet, usually you don't get that with hotspot motel-types, pleasant surprise.
The restaurant onsite is very solid and the breakfast burrito spot right outside the gate (Woodys I think) is very good, b-burrito wise.
Definitely a great spot to explore PB for a few days. We'll be back.

I asked to be in a room away from loud noise and not on first floor away from the pool. They said they will upgrade for me but they actually downgraded it.
Worst experience ever!!!I don't recommend it at all. It looks way different inside than the rooms posted on the internet. If it was $50 a night I would understand. Although the front desk and the guy was really nice. If you are young and want to surf than it makes sense to stay there.

From Utah so we don't get to see the beach often. We booked just a week in advance and paid over $1200 for a 5 night Thursday-Monday stay in September. No regrets!
The location is prime for beach access right on the boardwalk close to many various Pacific Beach nightlife spots. Service was solid, rooms were clean but clearly outdated as you could tell they haven't been renovated for many years. Bed was cozy with many pillows. Shower pressure was decent but the head was mounted low and temp control was challenging. AC was on point plus they included a floor fan for extra air support if need be

The staff is friendly and helpful, and we were able to upgrade to an ocean view room. It is well worth the money! The junior suite is large and accommodating, with a queen bed and a large sofa that converts to a bed, and will sleep four comfortably. The fridge is larger than a dorm fridge, and has a microwave as well. It's just weathered enough to give off a chill beach vibe, without feeling run down. I would definitely stay again!

This motel is a definite 5 star for location and customer service. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Its steps from the beach, board walk and restaurants. It was awesome to walk right into your room off the boardwalk. We didn't have to drive anywhere. They do have an added cost for parking of 20.00 a day. But considering the availability of public parking. Its probably money well spent.

Everything you could hope to expect in a beach vacation. Gorgeous views of the ocean. Surfing, the beach, the boardwalk. The atmosphere is lively. Wonderful service too!!! They checked on me 2 different times to make sure everything was going well. I can hear the waves crashing down the coast from my room right now.
