Pearl & Clasp is the brainchild of a father-daughter duo, Jon and Tara. The Bendavid family has been in the jewelry business for generations. It must be that gene kicked in when the duo decided to channel their passion into a venture that speaks for fashion-conscious women. What is the dilemma of modern women?
At Pearl & Clasp, we recognize that purchasing pearls is an exciting experience, and that you may have questions about the style and quality of our pearls, or about the restringing process. We welcome all inquiries about our products and are happy to take your order over the phone so that you can feel entirely comfortable.
Most of our pearl items will be shipped within 1-3 business days. For custom pearl jewelry and pearl restringing, items may take longer to ship. When your item is ready to be shipped you will receive a confirmation email that contains your item's shipping information. If you need your order by a specific day, please make sure to let us know.
Restringing is completed in 1 -3 business days. Everything is handsown on silk or nylon thread with double knots and french wire near the clasp. I received my pearls today, and couldn't be more delighted. The clasp is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The quality of your work is outstanding. I will definitely be sending any of my other pearl strands to you next time they need some first aid.

I worked with John to get my pearl necklace restrung. He was very kind and efficient. My pearls were restrung within a week! He and his team did a great job — I am very happy with the results. My schedule isn't the best, but he did his best to accommodate me when I asked to pick up my necklace. I will definitely go back to him with future projects. :)

I shopped around to find a place to restring my pearls which is a wardrobe staple for me living in the South. I read reviews and checked pricing before I decided to go out on a limb and ship my precious pearls to NYC. I was actually extremely pleased with the communication back and forth with Dana and the team there both through email and phone. The work that was done was excellent! Not only did they restring them but I had them add a small, inexpensive sterling silver clasp which looks great! I definitely recommend Pearl & Clasp for any re-stringing you might need or to find beautiful clasps.

Excellent & Swift Top Notch Customer Service! Thank you Tara Horn for your quick, helpful, seamless service. I did not buy the Pearls from them however it took months to find the perfect clasp & when stumbled upon a few of their pieces it only took a matter of 2-3 weeks from start to finish for them to do a custom piece. On their website the Golden Wire Clasp is defaulted to 12mm, 14k yellow gold. The Pearls are 7.75 mm & we wanted to reduce the sizing of the Clasp to 10mm, 18k yellow gold. As you can see in the pictures, 10mm works very nicely with the pearls. The Clasp uses a fish hook style

I could not be happier with Pearl & Clasp! The company restrung my mother's heir loom pearls and they look gorgeous! I was initially tentative to place the treasures in the mail to anyone, but Pearl & Clasp handled everything in a personal, competent and professional manner. The price was very reasonable (I did my homework) and the final result could not be better. I highly recommend Pearl & Clasp to anyone. I reached out to Pearl and Clasp to repair an heirloom strand of pearls and also to repair another gold necklace. Everything about this experience was stellar. They were responsive and communicative and made me confident to send my precious jewelry in the mail. The technician followed up with me immediately, answered questions and made the repair. My mother allowed my daughter to wear her triple strand of high-end akoya pearls at her wedding. Then, last Christmas, my mother gifted those beautiful pearls to my daughter with permission to altar then as she wished. I got on the internet and researched "pearl restringing" and found Tara Horn at Pearl & Clasp. She was SO GREAT; answering all my many questions and assuring me that the pearls would be properly restrung and returned in perfect condition. Just inside of 2 weeks she had turned a 16" progressive triple strand of pearls into 2-18" necklaces and 1-7" bracelet (I provided the clasps)

I did some research on Google to get my pearls restring and Pearl & Clasp was one of the first to pop up, I read some of the reviews and was happy to see really great reviews. I went onto their website sent a email and within minutes i received a response with directions. I shipped them from California to New York, and within a week all done. I am wearing them and they look like new again. I am a happy customer.

Someone once told me not to believe a place with all 5 stars. I should have listened. I had my antique pearls (passed down to me from my great aunt 30 years ago) restrung and they stole them and replaced them with a cheaper quality. Soon as he took them out of their little envelope saying, they will look different but you have the same number of pearls that you came in with" I could tell something was not right. And when he put them in my hand I knew for certain. The weight of the strand and the size of the pearls was a clear give away that they were not mine. It would have been my word

Pearl and Clasp professionally strings all of my black coral beaded necklaces (even though I live in Miami!) In fact, for the recent annual Miami Beaux Arts fair, despite being slammed with NYC Christmas order processing, Tara and John bent over backwards to complete my eight new pieces and rushed them to me so they arrived in time for the show!!!! LOVE these guys!! Took in three pearl necklaces for shortening (they all were different styles) and thankfully they talked me into the correct lengths (I was suggesting what would have been too short). The finished necklaces were done really quickly and flawlessly - all for a very reasonable fee. Next I'm going to rummage through my jewelry stash in search of other broken or pieces requiring work and bring them to Pearl & Clasp asap. Highest recommendations!!!

I emailed Tara to see if I could drop off my pearls instead of shipping them as i'm literally a 5 min walk. She emailed right back and said to stop by.
1. The building is a luxury high rise apt converted into offices (i was so confused when i went inside because it looks like an apt lobby with no labels).
2. It was a bit intimidating once I got to the office because I had to be buzzed in to enter the premise. I met with Marty? and he was very nice, very informative and patiently explained everything to me.
The cost of the re-stringing is like $36.

I leaned over and caught my 36" strand of pearls on a dresser knob and broke my necklace. What to do? I needed this strand of pearls correctly restrung with a knot between each pearl. My pearl bracelet came unraveled one day at work, and I wanted to have it restrung. Not knowing what to do, I did a Google search and found Pearl&Clasp. I emailed the company and received a quote of $15 to restring my pearl bracelet. Really? That's awesome! But I'm not going to lie, the whole process definitely sounded sketchy at first. "Just mail your pearls to us with your name and phone number on a piece of paper, and we'll contact you to get your payment information." Uh, ok?
