Services
Children's Leadership Academy is a privately owned and operated preschool and child development center. We care for children from 6 weeks through 12 years old. Our child care facility is brand newly renovated, high tech, exceptionally clean, and designed to create an environment that is both educational and socially nurturing.
Starlette Wimberly, or as we know her, Mrs. Star, is currently the Site Director here at Children's Leadership Academy. Born and raised in Augusta, GA. she moved to Marietta in 2001 and is the proud mother of 3 amazing children. Starting her career working with children over 20 years ago, she holds both a Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Director's Training Certificate from the State of Georgia.
Your baby's first year is an amazing and important time, filled with curiosity and discovery. Where your infant spends their day is just as important as what they do there. For our infants, we provide a nurturing tailored environment including individual cribs with fresh linens daily. We maintain individualized schedules to meet the needs of each child throughout the day.
For our 2's we provide consistent daily schedules with an emphasis on social and self-help skills. Our teachers utilize planned activities each day and encourage free choice among various centers within the classroom. 2 year olds develop quickly and are eager for knowledge. They are trying to understand the world around them and how it works.
Our curriculum in this classroom is the stepping stone toward Pre-K. The approach will have your child learning while having fun. In this classroom they will learn all their "School Readiness" skills. We will teach them character building activities such as sharing, caring, compassion and self help.
