Service was EXCELLENT. Kids LOVED IT. Entertaining. Had reservations, waited about 7 minutes for our table. The pay close attention to the guests needs. You never have to ask for refills. Prices were decent.. 3 time driving an hour away from home to come here and it's worth it

Super great place to eat décor is beautiful staff is very friendly would have given them 5 stars except for the portion was extremely small.They used 2 small steaks to feed 4 people. If the bill is gonna be close to $100 for three people the steak portion should at least be decent otherwise the food was great .

Food is ok but I asked for garlic in my food. I get home food full of garlic this is the second time this has happen. They did not offer me nothing. U would think they would try to offer u something when they have messed up !!. I attended this restaurant again with family on Jan 8 2021. After the chef had gotten done cleaning. The chef begen to clean up and his mess he began to throw water and rice all over a family members clothing and food. This I remind is nasty water and nasty rice. The hibachi meal was huge and delicious! The tuna lover was good, the tuna sushi seemed a little firm. I almost wish there was more rice on the individual sushi pieces. The soup and salad were good too! Everything is reasonably priced too.
The hibachi can easily be 3-4 meals. I also liked the grilled veggies that came with the hibachi meal

Wow! A very extensive menu! Ate there twice in 5 days. Everything I had was fresh and cooked to my satisfaction. Ask for Madi or Madison! She is friendly, attentive, kind and gets your order right! All the staff is awesome! A+

This was my first time and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT not only was the food delicious and the portions huge I had so much fun the entertainment and our chef was amazing I wish I could post my video I took because they shoot sake in your mouth from a squeeze bottle it's so much fun

I am a re-repeat customer at the Kume and it is a fav in Battle Creek. Absolutely the best in the Battle Creek area, hands down, no one close. We tired personal service in the dining room and my group wanted variety. I could not make up my mind so I went with 'Land & Sea' and I can say is WOW. Excellence service is a trademark here.

Really fun experience. We were seated by the hibachi area and the guy we had put on a show! Sake was thrown, camaraderie was had, and most importantly it was freaking delicious. In addition to across the board good service and great tasting food, the price was also really really good for everything you got.

I ordered takeout and it was prepared fast. Service was pleasant. It's a bit pricey, but you get a ton of food. I ordered chicken hibachi and had enough for 3 meals.

Chicken, veggies and rice were all cooked nicely and had good flavor. However, a little too much sauce which leaked out of the box and into the plastic take out bag. It came with two pieces of grilled shrimp, soup and the most embarrassing "salad" I've ever seen. The salad was iceberg lettuce with some shredded carrot. Honestly, they should not call it a salad. It's a garnish!

Very poor hospitality at this restaurant. We booked a birthday party here and the chef acted as if he was annoyed at our presence more than he was entertaining. The orders for the food were incorrect and the food was only average quality for the high price we paid.
Treat your guests like an unwelcome number instead of valued customers and watch them not return.

Came here on a whim one night looking for some date night sushi, had heard mixed reviews about Kume from friends. Website pictures made the place look like a chic Asian spot with fancy tables, funky lighting, and a fun vibe. The reality is that its a little more "Battle Creek" than the pics would like you to believe - everything just a little less quality.

However, the food and drink was good, service was fine, and prices reasonable, so we will go back for future sushi dates.

Love love love this place. While not the cheapest experience out there the food and the quantity and quality of it is worth the price. While the hibachi grill is a cool thing to do, you get just as much food by doing the dine in without the show. My preference is dine in so you get all your food at once vs in portions during the show. If you are into sushi's this place is on point with that as well. They have a 1/2 off happy hour on Tuesday's during the lunch hours where you can try a variety. Give this place a try !! You won't be disappointed.

We were looking for a new sushi place to try and from the menu, this one seemed to fit the bill. Walking in, the decor and ambiance is very welcoming and a pleasant surprise.
We were promptly greeted and seated. There is a lot going on with the decor but it works wells don’t is not busy, it is quite relaxing along with the music which seems to be some type of Asian instrumental Muzak channel. It’s very nice. Our server was polite, helpful, patient, and prompt. She checked in on us often and didn’t let our drinks go empty.

Terrible experience. I was told my carry out order would be ready at 12. Several tables walked into the restaurant, were served, and were eating before I received my carry out order. I ordered sushi, as did the tables in the restaurant. I placed my order at 11:15 am. I finally received my order at 12:32. After other people walked in and received their food also. I was told, "one more minute" at least 5 times. I received no compassion from the staff. When I asked to talk to the manager, he gave me excuses on how they don't control the website for ordering and people

Knocking down a few stars for the ridiculous wait times. It consistently takes over 40 minutes for my pickup order to be ready (just a couple basic sushi rolls). Tonight it took an hour! I placed the order at 4:50, and didn't walk out until almost 6. Good prices but the cost savings isn't worth my time anymore.

Kume will forever be a sweet memory for my family. This year for Valentine's Day, we decided to take our whole family on a date to begin teaching our son and daughter about dating (although they're 20 years from being allowed to go on one haha). Kume was available for a reservation, so we happily set out for our dinner.

A great time in Battle Creek for a very reasonable price point. If you want to have a fun experience, eat some good food and not spend a lot, just order their chicken hibachi and sit at the grill. They charge $14.99 and you get a heap of chicken, fried rice and veggies fresh off the grill. The steak hibachi is only $19.99 and most people will be taking half of it home. They also run a 3 sushi roll special for $26.99 and there are no exceptions. You can pick any 3 off their menu.

One of the better sushi restaurants I've been to in a long time... sushi grade cuts and a dynamic presentation. The meal I got was $26.99 for three different kinds of any choice sushi. I paired it with a seaweed salad and Asahi beer. My meal came out quickly and was in this beautiful presentation. Service was good and they had several Covid standards in place. It was my first time here but I'll definitely be back for takeout and dine in!

SAAAKKKKEEEEEE!!! Wowowow this place is the BEST restaurant in Battle Creek at least top 3 if not you ARE CRAZY. I like how they roll up the fishes into rolls called sushhme, get 3 for 25 dollars or something what a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hibachi is great, very entertaining. Let's start with the entertainment first. The cook is so fun. Be ready to have sake shot into your mouth along with rice and broccoli and whatever else they take off the grill to throw at you. And you will get bullied into having it done, in a fun way. Lol

Now for the food. So good. You get the rice, then the protein and the vegetables after your almost done. Only critique would be to have the completed plate closer together. But very small critique.

I also got the Godzilla roll which was very good.

Kind of disappointing, I was so excited to try this place and it didn't live up to the hype. The hibachi tables were moderately busy when we arrived, and we were told it would be a 5 minute wait, but it ended up being around 15 minutes. Ok, no big deal. After 10 minutes of sitting at the table, our drink order was taken and it didn't take too long to get our drinks, but then we sat for 25 MINUTES at the table before someone even came back to take our orders. We didn't get our food until after we had been there for an hour. They sat us with 5 other people and then added another

Nice place inside. Hope it works our for them in the long run. It's your standard hibachi place, sorta loud and fun. They have regular seating and a sushi bar if you're so inclined.

We had steak, chicken and scallops at the hibachi. All of them were cooked perfectly, and the flavor was great. The rice was a little bland for me, but I chalk that up to needing to please the masses, so not going to ding them on that.

So I'm not sure in what way I pissed the chef who annoyingly sang maybe you like it over and over again while making siren noises, or the grossly disproportionate serving sizes (my husband getting the worst portions and me getting a very close second) to the under seasoned everything, or maybe the huge pieces of fat that we got with said disproportionate food that will entice us to omit this from our future restaurant destinations even though Japanese is my favorite cuisine. Hard pass on this place.

WOW! Love this place! I'm really glad to have a nice eatery open in Battle Creek. The food was amazing, good quality steak and I LOVED the ginger sauce!
