DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! These people only care about that extra money and don't care how they get it. They will swindle the money from you. I have been trying to pay rent online and the system kept saying I didn't owe anything. The balance was 0. Even when I tried paying it wouldn't let me. Now I have to pay the late fees. I have been here for over 10 years and NEVER had an issue. The woman working there said they were having issues with the system but apparently it's still not their fault. I have never been late on rent. If anything I pay early. Even during the peak of lockdown I was still able to

Highly predatory business practices.
The agent refused to let me see the apartment, with little explanation, so I ended up moving into a nightmare.
They do not ensure apartments are ready for renters, as I was without a functioning fridge, dish washer, or ac on move in, resulting in an entire fridge worth of food going bad.
Ac unit constantly leaks and floods apartment.
They don't even have grass, parking lot is full of rocks as they decided rocks would be cheaper to maintain around the buildings.
Never have been late on rent, but they are going to charge me over 10% of it back as a late fee

The leasing office is a mess. The manager Claudia likes to ignore my concerns and Annabel gets a nasty attitude when I show my concerns. Only maintenance guys work hard but the leasing office likes to screw things up. I guess the owner doesn't care about the reviews anymore

I got completely scammed by this place! I'm so grateful I didn't end up signing a lease here!
I toured this apartment after being reffered by my coworker, and absolutely loved the place! The person that helped me answered all of my questions and was super helpful (I wish I remembered her name). I went home and applied online for a unit that was listed as available. The next day, I called them to see what they needed from me for documents (number of paystubs, my dog's vax history, etc.). This became a nightmare:
First off, they stated that the apt I applied for was not available.

The administration cares more about money than the tenants. My sister is an ER nurse who has been working extra hours during the covid 19 epidemic while becoming a first time mother. She bought a house near my mom to have help with her son only to be told 30 days notice is not enough and now she is forced to pay for an extra month on her lease, for an apartment she won't live in, as well as mortgage on her house.

The only issue I had was that the AC was located in the closet ceiling and it would drip water onto the floor constantly. In my last few months living there it was really bad...I had to keep a large trash can underneath to catch the constant dripping of water. I would put in maintenance requests frequently and the workers would come and never fix it.
I think the issue was that it was an old AC unit and they didn't want to pay to replace it. Also the ceiling is an awful location for a AC unit...just saying....

I went to view an apartment, and the leasing agent refused to show me an apartment while I was there. He was sitting there and did not come to acknowledge my concerns or anything. I felt like if I chose to move there, they would not care if I have a maintenance issue. He would not even come to the door to acknowledge my presence. It was unprofessional that he would not accommodate me or even try to help me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ There are other apartments though.

So far it’s just been issues after issues. Lately I saw that lots of people have been complaining about missing packages due to no numbers being on any of the doors. I made a comment about being tired of waiting and I put my own number on paper and taped it up, the management decided to censor me and deny my comment.

I set up CPS on day one since moving in. Every month, Altamonte tries charging me their own electric fee. I have to contact them to get it investigated so I don’t end up having to pay for it.

Rented my unit B5 model and had my housewarming party. It is spacious and everyone loved it. I have the corner unit so I can see the squirrels every morning as I'm drinking my coffee. I know that they are doing quite a bit of remodeling outside because I see that going on.
So Staff wise:
Housekeeping or whatever they call the team that cleans before you come in. AMAZING
Maintenance: Got off to a rocky start but they were made of aware of why I was complaining their supervisor did a walk through and problems fixed.

If Jesus was considering living in this place he would roll his rock back and just live in the grave after he saw some of these units. So many horrible, disrespectful "workers" at this place. I will say the one maintenance guy is pretty cool and hardworking (he will probably be burned out and have quit by the time you move in though). If you have no other place to live and your only other option is being homeless, I would still think very hard about this place.

Beautiful Apartments! I was ready to move, I rushed to apply only to be denied. However with me being denied i started to request for my deposit back and they gave me the ABSOLUTE run around. 1st I was told to allow 6-8 business days, then to 12 business days. After so long I began to call in but it was either the manger wasn’t there or they’d have to give me a call back. Here it is months later, no deposit and they still can’t give me an answer. Smh y’all have to do better.

Affordable rent, but you get what you pay for. I had maintenance requests for years that were never addressed, and I lived there for 8 years. Double check your move-out fees, including utilities, as they charged me a lot and I had to pull out the contract and go thru several calls and emails to get my money back. I would pay more for a better community elsewhere.

I first heard of this property from good friends of mine. Here are a few things that I went through that led to me leaving this apartment complex.
When I first wanted to move in, I went into the leasing office and had questions that no one seemed to want to answer. It was like they were annoyed that I was interested. I chose to live here because it was in my budget, close to work and I was able to sign a 6 month lease.
The first two months, there were small roaches coming from everywhere. The first few weeks were the hardest because I felt so disgusted with my living situation. I called the office

If I could do 0 stars I would. Lived here a year and couldn't wait to get out! First off was shown the two bedroom and promised ceiling fans in both rooms, moved in and only had ceiling fan in one room and from the time we moved in until the time we left my kids ac in there room WITHOUT the fan did not work. Upon moving in one of the toilets was not cemented to the ground and the closet doors were not secured. One fell on me and the other almost fell on my kids. Carpet padding was so old and dirty when you even spilled water on the carpet black stains would appear and were expensive to get

OUTSTANDING response times! Roman is the current maintenance manager and goes above-and-beyond. Bobbie and rest of the office staff are always friendly and cordial. Built in the 80's, it has some wear and tear. But overall, a good place to temporarily call "home".

This is a quiet, beautiful complex with lots of trees and is very secure. There are 2 pools, a fitness room, and the best playground I've seen at an apartment complex. I see several cats around, and all dogs are on leashes. The location is ideal 3 minutes to Wurzbach parkway and 281.

I lived at Altamonte Apartments for 5 years, not because I liked it there but because I wanted to buy a house and show proof of stable prior residency. Rachelle was the complex manager the entire time that I lived there and every time that I had an issue, she never resolved them to an acceptable manner. We lived on the bottom floor for almost 3 years when they decided to put rocks outside of our patio instead of grass. Within 2 weeks of the rock placement, our place was flooded completely. The good:
They have a security gate, a gym and the place is normally kept pretty clean. The location is close to the freeway but the traffic does get a little congested.

The bad:
You will hear every sound your neighbor makes. The walls are so thin it's almost like they are made of paper. The patio is located outside the bedroom and the living room so if your neighbor has a party you will hear them. I have a neighbor that constantly makes noise between the hours of 2 - 4 am.
