Lived there for 2 years and the students who work there are great as well as the maintenance guy, but the management is terrible. They closed most the amenities for a full year and they had the audacity to increase the prices. That year had constant construction distractions while everyone in the building had classes on zoom, which made it extremely difficult to focus on class. I moved in and the carpet in my bedroom was stained worse than a frat house and when I moved out, they charged me $750 to replace the disgusting carpet that I did nothing to. They also charged $250 to replace a door that

I lived in Slate (formerly Evolve) from August 2017 through July 2018. My time here was stressful from day one to say the least. The day I moved in my apartment was beyond filthy (photos attached). My roommate had already lived there since the year prior, so her stuff was everywhere. It was clear that no one had inspected the cleanliness of the apartment prior to my arrival as the fridge had an odor, there was paint on the couch, coffee table, and floor, the white countertops were stained, the floor was sticky, and paint was peeled of the walls. The manager sent a cleaning crew up there, and their

I recently moved into my apartment and there was trash everywhere, bugs everywhere, and spaghetti on the ceiling. I was originally supposed to be on a different floor, but Slate changed it without asking me or my roomates. I originally thought nothing of it, but they moved us into a handicap apartment which is not what we paid for whatsoever. The couch is disgusting and the closet and bathrooms are completely wrong from how they were supposed to be. The cleaning people are rude and obviously did not clean my apartment before I moved in. Someone obviously tried to paint the walls because they look

Don’t live here. This place is wildly expensive for what it is. It claims to be fully furnished, but when I moved in I had a desk chair, a desk, and a bed frame. If I’m paying for “fully furnished” I should not have to purchase a nightstand, dresser, and chest of drawers. In addition to this there was not even a curtain rod above the window, so when I added a curtain rod I was greeted with a $150 dollar charge, which they then sent me to collections during a global pandemic. These people don’t care about you or the many problems you will encounter. The outlet on the balcony didn’t work

I lived at Slate for 3 years. When I first moved in it was Evolve and while things weren't perfect, the staff was great and always on top of everything from cleaning to packages, and always had coffee, snacks, whatever weekly for residents. Could tell the difference as soon as Slate took over. Price increased with no improvement to the apartment, there was no system in place to inform residents of packages arriving, poor staff (except the maintenance man how had been there before Slate, he is great), not sure the hot tub ever looked clean. Only thing they are great at is taking your money. Not

They love to take money from you and the email you a week later saying you have another balance to pay. do not live here. Management changes about every 2 weeks so they don't really know what's going on ever. People leave trash everywhere but the dumpster, pee or who knows what else in the elavators, and employees also will walk into your apartment without any notice for "inspections". You can hear everything the person above and beside you are doing so if you want to sleep at a normal time, good luck. Locked yourself out of your room, or have an emergency in the night like

I absolutely love living at Slate! It is such a convenient location and very affordable. I have already renewed my lease for next year because I’ve had great experiences with amenities, maintenance, management, etc.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far. Friendly staff and a great environment. It’s not too loud or rowdy but we still have fun. The rooms are huge compared to there apartments and have all amenities you could need.

Was really thrown under the bus here from the start. Literally the ONLY positive thing about this place is the maintenance man, he's the sweetest ever and gets stuff done!!

PROS: It's a 8-10 minute walk to campus. The staff is nice enough. About once every month or two they have something free in the lobby. (Not enough for everyone, though-- so you have to go early. Stuff like muffins/waffles/candy.) There's a movie theater (Although, I have no idea how to use it and idk if anyone here does...) and there's a gym. Bunch of cute doggos.

CONS: This place is overpriced. Our apartment wasn't cleaned before moving in. (Moldy/rusty bathrooms, thick layer of grime on the stove, greasy fridge, etc.) One of the two elevators was broken for SEVERAL months

Really crappy yet intriguing property. It always left me wondering with questions, but not really wanting any answers. It has the feeling of a tacky teens 18 and under only nightclub with the hallways lit up neon blue. It smells odd as well. Every day I walked out my door to dog pee on the carpet, or throw up. It was wonderful to pay close to 900$ a month for an already over priced unit, for a below sub par place... Especially with the quality of the property as well. The furniture is awful and the units are built very cheap. Why they charge rent at 600-900$ is one thing I will never understand

I am about to be on my second year leasing term for evolve and I must say this is the place for me. I really appreciate all of the staff and the work they do. They have the best maintenance department and the new property manager has really turned this place around. The location is awesome for any student that enjoys being in the middle of the action. The lounge room and weight room are very nice as well as the hot tub!
I love Evolve Apartments and will be sad when I leave, but I have had some of the best times of my life here. I would recommend this place to anybody.

This apartment is utter garbage. Management does essentially nothing to deal with noise complaints, maintenance requests, honor rental agreements, etc. The level of noise is UNBELIEVABLE. Forget sleeping Thursday through Saturday nights. I'm writing this now running on three hours of sleep unable to even take a nap because my neighbors' music is shaking my apartment. There have been multiple incidents where our neighbors have harassed us beating on our walls, pounding on the front door, and yelling at us after we call noise complaints. Not to mention the fights in the hallway resulting

I currently live in a 2 bedroom 2 bath. I was so excited to live here when I signed the lease in February 2014. I moved in in August. When I moved in we did not have closet doors yet. It was poorly painted, it honestly looked as if it were thrown together. Management is pretty nice, but still working out some kinks as can be expected. I was hoping this would be a semi quiet place during the week for studying purposes, however it is incredibly loud 24/7. I understand partying on the weekend, but I did not expect the noise in class days. I am currently paying $899 a month. This does not include utilities
