Location, location, location! It doesn't get any better than this.oceanfront and a short walk to the Pier and attractions. We are close enough to the amusements for your convenience and far enough away that the only sound you hear are the waves lapping on the shore. We also have an outdoor heated pool kept at a temperature in the high 80's plus 2 outdoor hot tubs!
Everyone is friendly. The rooms are great. The bed was awesome and I have never been able to say that about a motel room before. We absolutely love the Old Colonial. Like most accomodations in the area, the family-style rooms are well-worn and the furniture budget friendly.
However, unlike most of the rest, I was pleased by Old Colonial because everything was comfortable, clean, and in working order, the staff were friendly and professional, and the beach and town were so close.There are many hotels to choose from in OOB, on the beach and within walking distance of the pier and town, but really it was the staff that made our stay extraordinary.

Stairways were very dirty, staff wasn’t wearing any masks at all. The room smelled. Heated pool freezing cold. Not worth the price at all. We didn't end up staying at the motel since the manager offered a refund. Once we left and booked elsewhere, he notified me no refund because I left a bad review!! Haha. Filed with Better Business... Just Stay away

The staff at The Old Colonial Motel are friendly, helpful, and seemed to always have a smile. We stayed in the ocean view room with a kitchen for the weekend and found it to be a good fit for our family of five, at a good price for the location. The motel and room had character, was clean, and had comfortable beds. It looked like they had a few small unfinished projects on recent renovations but we found the room comfortable. We even had a beautiful view of the sunrise over the ocean from bed.
