Tara Bayles worked for real estate companies, managing multi-family housing for over 20 years. Her knight in shining armor, Adam Bayles, is a US Army veteran and a former manager in a Fortune 500 company. He supports her as she heads the Meridian Residential Group. Unfortunately this slummy company took over my lease a couple months ago and they immediately raised the rent, dropped paying for sewer and water, and did nothing to improve the dumpy apartment for this increase. Also, our 22 year old AC doesn’t cool our top floor so they put in window units so now we have an insane power bill because we have central AND window units and we don’t even run the one room. They could care less how much it’s costing us. I cannot wait to move out! If you are looking to rent- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Referred someone to get their house managed by Meridian even after my personal experience with them was not a great one in the end. The owner refuses to answer emails or follow up in a reasonable amount of time. The person I referred has to follow up multiple times to get simple responses regarding financial aspects of her rental. Highly embarrassed and regretful that I referred them. Completely unprofessional.

Lively at Market Common. The apartments are nice, new, clean. The pool is like being at a resort. Big gym. The community events are fun, generous and inclusive of all residents. Good place for mixed cultures. Residential concerns and maintenance requests are fulfilled in a timely manner. Office staff are helpful. Dog friendly community. First floor apt's do not have flooring in common areas, that is one drawback.
Walking distance to the commons, ball fields, lake, huge playgrounds and culinary institute.. Close to the beach. Nice place to live .

I just got off the phone with someone at this company after several months of trying to contact them via phone, I had to use my wife’s phone in order to get somebody over there to pick up. I was calling a complaint about trying to get charges removed from early release from our lease on their property in Orangeburg, which I had never gotten a straight up or down decision from the property manager in Orangeburg. Instead they appear to be simply ignoring me because after leaving several messages trying to get contact and confirmation about why the charges were standing, after not replying to my

I was just facebook messaged by a guy who has been dealing with Meridian through one of their other properties. I have read through the message and have come to the same conclusion that this is a fraudulent construction company posing as an apartment management company. They like to build apartments, get enough equity in them during the first year or so through bogus management and fees and then sell out when the reputation is beyond repair. I'm surprised that nobody else has also realized that this is a common trend among all of their properties. But this guy is right. Everybody who has complaints

Just found out that Meridian is the parent company and owner for Lively at Carolina Forest and wanted to copy and paste my review so that everybody is also aware of the owners of this establishment.
"This place is nice but please don't live here. They will charge you because they can basically. I can't even get a full night of sleep because the fire alarms continue to go off every night around 2-4 and they have yet to fix the issue. Have to give a 60 day notice that you are moving out when you can't even begin to lease another apartment 60 days out. You will be charged for everything. Neighbors

One of Meridian Residentials properties,The Lively At Carolina Forest is run by a bunch of professional con artists and thieves. I should have read the apartment reviews before applying but I liked the area and it was nice so I decided to give it a try. I came in and applied for one of the units and was charged a $60 application fee and a $150 administration fee. Like any other apartment I have ever looked at or applied to I assumed that the application fee was exactly for that- the application, and the administration fee was for paperwork involved if you were approved for the apartment.
