Pomodoro Rosso is a full service mobile catering company and we operate a fleet of two food trucks and our sister restaurant, La Taverna, located in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego. As a mobile caterer, the main nature of our business is to provide food and beverage services to the public at various events throughout the County of San Diego.
Our entire menu is made in-house from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, including the saucy and savory Chicken Parmigiana Sandwiches, luscious Lobster Mac & Cheese, vibrantly fresh Caprese Salad, and addictively creamy Tiramisu, just to name a few of our delicious specialties.

Services
We cater all types of events from corporate functions to birthday and graduation parties, fundraisers, weddings ceremonies and more. Typically, to qualify for the best available rate, we take into consideration the event location, if it is within 15 miles from 92123, if the event duration is 3 hours or less and how many guests you are expecting.

I’d rather eat public school cafeteria food. Don’t do it. $3.50 for a single small piece of garlic bread with a side of refrigerator-cold marinara. Found a small black hair in the bread. $11 for pasta primavera that I can’t even eat with a fork, because each time I poke a noodle, it breaks in half, due to being overcooked. Lost my appetite.

We hired them to cater our wedding and they did a great job! The staff was very professional and the owner was very easy to work with during the planning process. All of our guests absolutely loved the food and even asked if they were able to get seconds and Togo plates. We will definitely be eating there again and will use them for any future events we have. They are one of the best food trucks in the San Diego area!

I always want a small business to succeed and i am hoping that what I just got was not what the rest of the food is like. I had the Chicken Parm. sandwich. It was tough and tasteless like it had been frozen and then microwaved to death. I was hungry and ate it. Now I wish I had not. I do hope they can do better.

So there food truck came to my neighborhood because every couple of weeks the leasing office has a different food truck come out so people in the apartments can get some good food. This is the only truck to pack up and leave early. The email and the site to order through both said 4pm-8pm. I tried to place an order and the site wouldn't let me. The time was 7:23. I didn't think muck of it and decided to walk down to the truck. It was gone. Disappointed I walked back to my apartment, checked the time and it was 7:28.
