Tacos Don Jorge

Recently attended a catered event that featured some great food by Tacos Don Jorge. The staff on site were super friendly and worked quickly preparing each plate. Everyone spoke very highly of the food and we all felt like the food stood out! The next party we host, I'm going to use Tacos Don Jorge!

I rarely take the time to write a review, laziness is to blame. But tonight I feel compelled to. Tacos Don Jorge, I can honestly say this is by far the best taco cart we have used. The staff was early for set up . They were friendly and got right down to business. The food was delicious. It got great reviews from all guests. We will be using them again. Give them a try, they won't disappoint!!!

The process was super smooth. Everything online. Called me to confirm. Flex payment option. I used them for a beach event in September for large group. They showed up early started banging out food. All the guests loved the food. Tacos and Horchata. Packed up and left the leftovers for us. Very professional. Excellent experience. Super nice people. Will use again.

We hired them for our daughters wedding & when we went for the taste test it was a great experience. The day of the actual wedding I was extremely disappointed. The way they display the food was nothing like they put on their website so beware of that. They left the canned beans that they used on the floor for our guests to see. We paid for 150 people but only had about 120 guest so we had plenty of food left. They packed up & we’re leaving before even saying last call for food. Hired for my sons wedding of 125 people. Staff was pleasant. Tacos were okay but definitely NOT enough food for 125 people. Ran out of tortillas and sides (onion/cilantro) Rice was undercooked which as I am reading through reviews I see that this seems to be a common thing. Took almost two hours for everyone to be served considering they needed at least one more person on staff and were not prepared. Really bummed out with this experience. Wanted to love them and use them again. :(

I've found my SD taco vendor! Booked Tacos Don Jorge for my son's 1st birthday party which was at a park in Del Mar. The booking process was easy and communication super clear and responsive - also very easy and convenient as all invoicing and correspondence online. I was hoping we could taste test tacos beforehand, but they only do tastings for weddings. Very disappointed rated a 3 based on various reasons. The company asked who the booking was under. Provided the name. My sister tried calling, texting and email and nobody has responded back about all of our issues. We paid the bill in full and provided a tip at the end. The young lady serving was not her fault. Seems like once they have their money your no longer a customer.

I love this taco company so much. I have rented their service 4 times now and every time it is soo wonderful. Less stress having someone take care of the food is great. They are so friendly. Food is always delicious and fresh. Salsa is amazing. I will continue to use them and I would recommend for others to give a try.

Had a great experience with this company. They were prompt to get back to me, they have an online portal that makes choosing your service easy and secure, and their food was really good. I had to change the date last minute and they were able to accommodate, very flexible with me, and nice about it. Came on time, cooked good food, cleaned up and were out on time as well. Great experience, I'll be using them again in the future.

I've never gotten a taco service because of how expensive they can be but I made an exception for my son's first birthday. I chose tacos don Jorges because of the handmade tortillas option. I fully regret hiring this service. Nobody bothered to contact me a day prior to my event to confirm. I was panic calling the day of and nobody was answering me. The time they had contracted for came and still nothing. 15 minutes later I was finally contacted from the service letting me know they were there. The rice that was served at my event was not fully cooked and I had several guests mentioned the flavor

Tacos Don Jorge really came through for me with a last minute catering order on a Friday none the less! They got there on time, finished setting up earlier than planned and the food was amazing! Definitely on my list of future caterers to use. We gave this company a try for my daughters College graduation party on the recommendation from a friend who is a photographer. Caterers that we had used in the past were unavailable on such short notice. Fortunately tacos Don Jorge we're available with approximately 1 to 2 weeks notice. Got a hold of tacos Don Jorge to cater my daughters graduation from eighth grade out at Crown point in Pacific Beach. Wasn't sure what do you think but upon arrival diego chef he set up and he cooked us delicious tacos the meat was delicious the homemade tortillas were awesome Diego it was awesome he had a great attitude really hard worker did a great job the beans were delicious salsas everything was delicious will use them again if we need him shout out to Diego he was an excellent chef

Tacos Don Jorge catered an event for 125+ for my business and did an amazing job! They arrived on time even a little early, set up quickly started cooking quickly, served amazing quality food were very accommodating to all requests. They also left the leftovers with us so that we could continue to enjoy them after they left! It was very easy to pay as I was sent a very professional invoice and can pay via Square. We had Tacos Don Jorge cater our wedding on 08/03/18 at the San Diego Botanic Garden. It was a Friday wedding so I had called them the day before requesting if they could leave earlier due to traffic heading up to Encinitas because I was stressing about them getting stuck in traffic.
