The Mission of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa is a little under two miles away from the Lexington Inn. There you can view the historic Mission, including its museum and beautiful architecture. It was the first mission within the native Chumash territory, and the neophytes at the mission were called "Obispeo."

The whole site is rife with history, and it's still used for church services today. The Mission was founded by Father Junipero Serra in 1772. It was the fifth of the twenty-one missions construction in California, and as a mission it was active for sixty-three years. However, as a church, it has been in service for over two hundred years as the Central Parish Church of San Luis Obispo.

You pay for what you get in great location! Reasonable price. Located downtown SLO near Applefarm, walking distance to restaurants. Clean white bedding and towels. Great courtyard area to sit with large group, we used it alot. Good parking.

Ok I am giving this a 5 star because of value. This is an older hotel right by all the hotel row. It is clean and has a pool, hot tub, work out room and nice seating area for gathering down at parking. It's not fancy and could use a remodel but weigh that against the affordable price and it's stellar. Downtown is very pricy so this is a treasure. The beds and pillows were great too. 👍 take this opportunity before they do remodel and double their prices.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
This hotel is not clean and has horrible customer service. The general manager "Dianna" was rude from the start. The room smells bad and the bathroom smells like sewer. The window seals have mold gowning on them from never being cleaned. To end things off, i was charged $50.00 because the sheets had, what the general manager claimed to be blood! Mind you, no one sustained a cut or laceration. Dianna apparently can perform a forensics test on the sheets but can manage a hotel well enough to bring new towels when requested.

Please do you and your family a favor and

The initial appearance of the hotel and lobby were nice, clean, non-smoking room. We got a room near the pool. After a wonderful dinner we arrived to our room and came upon the pool full of adults and kids. That went on for a couple of hours. Later unfortunately they were staying above our room so the noise and chaos cotinued until around midnight. Then the door slamming continued. If we got an hours' sleep we were lucky. We could have called the front desk but I didn't want to sound like I was complaining! One night was all I could have stood for. We left early the next morning.

I am saddened to leave only two stars for this hotel. When I had called I made the reservation for my mother. I asked for the senior discount which thankfully they were able to do. Saved us a bit of money BUT I strongly feel that it was a bit over priced for the service my mother and brother received. There were stains on the wall in their room (possibly coffee) looked awful. The chair in the room seemed to have been falling apart. Couldn't quite do much in the room like move the chair because it was coming apart. When we asked for pool towels we got a towel with holes and it was ripped throughout

We stayed at this hotel in April 2021 and it was an OK visit, definitely wont be returning. Rooms were WAAAAAAY overpriced and that was not acceptable considering it was so dirty. The room floors had huge stains on it and the bathroom was SMALL! the toilet would barely flush as well. kids were in the pool screaming past pool closing time and it was hard to sleep. the mattresses where horribly uncomfortable. the staff wasn't the kindest. i went down to get 2 extra towels and an extra blanket and the lady literally threw the items over the counter at me and said, "that should be enough" and she rolled

Lovely staff and clean room . It is right next to the freeway and you can view that as a positive in the sense that many things can be accessed quickly or as a negative due to noise. The windows do help block a lot of the noise. As a person who grew up in a noisy city, this was very tolerable levels of noise.

I will start by saying that we drove from Phoenix to Santa Cruz in one day and were headed back to Phoenix on the same day. So, i had reached the point of exhaustion that you can't ignore.
Every hotel off the 101 was booked or 400.00 per night, so we picked this place because they had a room and it was 159.00.

The lady at the front desk was very nice, and we checked in quickly. The room was very basic, nothing fancy. There was a very musty smell in the room, bed was hard, there was a coffe maker, fridge and microwave. I was only there to sleep, which I did.

So, in short...
Was it horrible

Clean! That's my favorite word to describe this hotel. Olive it. Everything is emaculate. The front desk gal, Diana goes above and beyond and I highly recommend this place when looking for a hotel.

The Service Was Good . No One Bothered Us . We Were Celebrating A Birthday & We Only Got Told Once To Lower Music . We Booked 3 Rooms & No One Called Our Rooms To Keep It Down . Music Wasn't LOUD Like People Said It Was . As For Towels & Toilet Paper , You Have To Let Them Know You Need Them . Other Than That , We'd Stay Here Again .

Two words...BED BUGS!
Writing this review so travelers can spare the itchy misery that I had to endure. Beware, You get what you pay for!
The first night we arrived at 12 in the morning due to last minute plans to get away from the Valley since our plans were cancelled due to the Corona virus epidemic. The room seemed clean and cozy when we first entered. Back story...last year I had spent 6 months trying to figure out what was going on with my skin. I was getting bite by some sort of bug but neither my dermatologist or bug guy could figure out what it was. Finally I woke up one morning with

Based on the reviews I was skeptical of staying here. There's not very many on Yelp and they aren't very good. On the AAA website this place has a decent rating, so we decided to stay here. It was reasonably priced and we figured if it was terrible we could leave.

I am happy to report that this place is great! The staff is all very friendly and professional. The room is a little outdated but very clean. We had a nice view from our balcony, a fridge & microwave in our room, and the bed was pretty comfy. The walls are a little thin so you can hear the neighbors slamming their doors

Stayed here 2 nights. Needed to add a third night to my stay and was told no problem. I went down to the front desk and initialed changes, got new room key. Visited the pool. New room key didn't work after (I had issues with room keys not working 3 times in total). Was attempting to relax in the room after my swim when one of their male employees walks into my ROOM without even a knock. I'm not dressed, I think I yelled "Oh my God". Or something similar, and he turned and walked out without a word. To say that I felt violated is an understatement. I'm a female staying alone

Well.....to give you all a short and sweet answer. I wish I could give them a no star review.
My girlfriend and I walk into the room of this "hotel",
Where we intend to spend our 1 year anniversary, and the lights don't work.....we then see a cockroach scurry around on the bed. I turn on my phone light and it goes under the sheets. Gross right.
So now the manager DIANA isn't even trying to get back to me to refund both of our nights. She was extremely rude and made it seem like it was our problem that their hotel had COCKROACHES. Totally unacceptable.
You want a good recommendation

The executive double queen room was large and decent looking. Needed upkeep. We had a room literally right next to the 101. Did not realize when we booked this. The road noise was so loud it kept us up, even with earplugs. If anyone stays here you need to ask for a quiet room by the office. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was in the office so there was hardly any room to even get it. Need more towels in the room as well. If you swim you won't have one to shower with. There were 3 of us and 3 towels with one washcloth. Decent stay but super noisy!

The room was spacious, though a little outdated; the pillows were nice and fluffy and soft. I found a few little ants crawling around the bed, which was disconcerting.

What makes me write a review was my experience checking out. The person at the front desk asked me what I was up to -- not how my stay was, or I would've recalled the ants -- and when I said I was headed back to Los Angeles, he asked me what part I lived in. I said "the West side," to which he responded, with what can only be described as a knowing look: "Oh! Nice! The West side. Not the [makes gun hands and
