If you are reading this review, you are probably wondering if Midtown Apartments is a good place to live. If this is all you read the answer is NO (plz don’t live here) Check out the other nearby apartments that are the same price and actually have amenities that warrant the price. Finding a place to start for this review is quite difficult because of the sheer amount of problems this place has. As other reviewers have noted, there are none of the promised amenities like a pool, an entertainment courtyard, an arcade, or a theater. NONE. Second, the parking situation is a rip off. I pay $150/month

I have had a horrible experience with the leasing office and community manager, Kendra. I do not recommend trying to lease from them especially if you are on a time limit. I called on 12/7 to inquire about a specific apartment with an immediate move in for a new job starting in the new year. I was told there was 1 available and that if I applied and paid, they could get a lease to me to sign by the end of the day. It is now 12/16 and I still don't have a lease signed. I've called everyday since then and haven't been able to talk to Kendra, the community manager. I was told to call back the next

Midtown Apartment is my first home in the US.
I don't have any friends and family here, but our manager Layla and other staffs are like my family members.
They are generous in their time. Whenever I had a difficulty, they helped and supported me.
The area is so clean. People who are working here have always smile on their faces. I feel safe and secure.
Our shared library is always clean and quiet, and we can use it 24/7. For shopping, you won't have any problem if you do not have a car. Target and Publix are so close to our place.
Plus, I have 5 minutes walk to my office in the UF and 15 minutes

Staff is amazing with helping you through the leasing process! The team really tries to help you if you have any concerns or issues. The location is great and they have a wonderful roommate matching system if you come in by yourself. I've been living there since opening and I can't complain about anything in my unit.

When I first moved in, construction noise was disruptive and none of the promised amenities were completed. Construction isn’t too much of an issue now and study rooms have been made available which is why I’m leaving a better review. Location is great and conveniently close to campus and restaurants. One of the better parts about living here is that the people working in the office are very receptive to complaints and do everything they can to accommodate and meet the needs of their residents unlike many other Gainesville apartments. Rooms are clean looking and common areas are spacious.

AVOID LIVING HERE
My best advice is to stay as far away from this place as possible. From the moment I moved in they were a problem and it kept getting worse as the year went on. Starting it off they let everyone know a week before move in that the move in date would be pushed back over 2 weeks and residents could either accept that or find somewhere else to live, which was impossible with how late they let us know. Also the building was not nearly as finished as they claimed it to be. The email said they were a little behind and everything would be completed by late fall. As I was moving out

I moved in recently and sadly found out that the room is only nice in the photo.
Almost all the furnitures or appliances are made of cheap low quality products and some of them are not even working.. I can not even guarantee if they are new, even though this is supposed to be the "first" move-in.
You get the impression that the room's construction is left not well finished and all is in a rush. There're paints and glues left on the sink, bathtub, etc. and dust in the room in the room as well.
Further, the sound isolation is poor and you can hear your neighbour's conversation. Not even to mention

I would not wish this apartment complex on my worst enemy. Moving in here was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I have lived here for three days so far, and here is a list of some of the more major issues:

One shower came with no shower head
1/4 rooms have cabinets, while the other three just have holes in the foundation where cabinets should be
One of the showers has only cold water, cannot turn hot
There is exposed nail and wood that is sharp in the kitchen
One of the toilets came with a crack down the whole bowl and had to get replaced
2/4 of the closets came unfinished and had to be

I would give Mid Town Apt NO stars if it wasn’t for the great location, and knowing they are new construction and no one else has occupied the room.
Rooms were dusty not vacuum bathroom walls full of construction dust. Kitchen cabinets, counter top every where there was dust. After many calls and demands a lady did come and clean. Apt should of been cleaned before handing over a key. We are there to move in not to clean.
How cheap can they get when the whole main living area is carpet. The 4 bedroom rooms are tiny. 9x11
They have no gym they said it would be ready for move in date. They promised

I’m not sure where to begin. If I could give this negative stars, I would. Let me list a few of the reasons why NOT to live at this place.
1. They LIE about everything. Everyone in the office is so nice and sweet but the owner/owners hide behind them. Absolute frauds. Nothing that I was promised when I signed has happened. Pool??? No. Gym??? No. Any amenities whatsoever??? No. Expensive rent for absolutely nothing??? Yes.
2. If you ever need anything after the office is closed, good luck. They give you 1 phone number and it’s the office number. There isn’t an after hours number. If you

I think this building is unattractive, but certainly convenient to UF. They tower over the older residential buildings in the neighborhood, which the building codes permit - so, that is their right.

But, this morning I walked by and this bucket of stucco had apparently fallen on the sidewalk from 6 stories up. It would have killed a passerby unlucky enough to be there. Not good, but Ok - accidents happen.

But, 11 hours later the bucket and mess are still there...

Come on Midtown Apartment owners (ST AUGUSTINE PARISH LAND LLC), show some respect for this neighborhood and the people who

I signed a rental agreement so that my son lived in these apartments and could enjoy all the good things that they were offering in the advertising. But shortly after moving to the apartment none of the things they promised when signing the contract have been fulfilled. My son had to pay to have access to another gym in the area and seek entertainment with friends from other buildings. Most of the time having to be locked in the apartment because to date none of the things of distraction and enjoyment have been finished. There are no places to socialize with the other residents of the building
