My goal is to provide quality dental healthcare to the public in a financially sound manner. Dr. Padukone keeps abreast of all the modern innovations and information at the cutting edge of dentistry and takes full advantage of the results that emanate from evidence-based dentistry in order to apply them successfully in his clinical practice.

Your regular exam will take about 45 minutes. Each regular exam includes a detailed teeth cleaning, in which we will clean, polish, and rinse your teeth to remove any tartar and plaque that have built up on the tooth's surface. Visiting our office every six months gives you the chance to talk to the doctor about any questions you may have about your oral health.

A seasoned professional who stays on top of the latest developments in his field. He truly cares about the well being of his patients. I have been with Dr. Padukone for the past 3 years and it has been wonderful each and everytime. It was very hard to find a good dentist and I was happy to have found this office. I pay more in insurance just to be able to have Dr.padukone and its worth it. Staff is very friendly and very thorough. If you need refferrals Dr.Padukone really gives you the best ones out there.
Office is always clean and wait time is excellent. The location is very nice as well and easy to get to.

I really like this dentist!
Dr. Padukone is very pleasant and highly skilled. His oral hygenist is also incredibly thorough.
It sounds kind of funny, but i also find his office set-up very comforting--it is in a converted apartment, and the whole set-up speaks of a quiet competence that really put me at ease.

What a great dentist! Dr Padukone is knowledgeable and experienced, and compassionate and kind, as well. He has been our family dentist for years - and our mouths are all healthy and happy! He has saved us teeth, money and stress over the years with his attentive, wise and generous approach. In addition, he is expert at helping patients through difficult or frightening procedures, making them as easy and painless as possible. Couldn't be more grateful!

The dentist Maitreya Padukone and his staff were courteous, professional, and left me with nothing but utmost confidence in their care. The hygenist Etoy was very good and thorough in all aspects. I highly recommend this practice, which is also conveniently located on W 72nd near a subway stop (1,2,3).

I've been seeing Dr. Padukone for several years now. He's friendly, professional, and he's never once tried to upsell me on some unnecessary procedure or tooth whitening program. A few months ago I discovered some pretty bad tooth decay that had gone unnoticed because it was hiding under the gum. Dr. Padukone referred me to an endodontist to do the root canal, then installed a crown. The tooth was in bad shape but he saved it, and I never doubted that was all he was trying to do. And all this during this awful pandemic! He's great.

I can't put into words how amazing Dr. Padukone and his team are. Stephanie and Keisha are AWESOME!! They understand and show compassion for my phobia. I had the pleasure of meeting a new addition to the team (Jennifer) today and she is fantastic!!! Inappropriately rubbed my hands and said inappropriate things about my appearance while I was laying on the examination chair with him hovering over me. Was confused because he was nice and professional aside from that. It was one of those things where you left and felt really weird and violated and couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards, but didn't want to make it a big deal because all you wanted was your teeth cleaned, not to fret over the inappropriate actions of a doctor.

Dr. Padukone is careful, kind, and compassionate. We have been going to him for years. He saw me on the Friday before a long holiday weekend when I called in a panic -- I had an emergency and my regular dentist was away. I went to my old dentist's assistant and he did something so painful and awful I was sure I was in for big trouble. I looked on yelp to see who might see me. We had never met, but Dr. Padukone squeezed me in and was able to explain what had gone wrong. He called me over vacation to see how I was doing. So unbelievably nice.

I hate writing a bad review but need to share my experience since my past reviews were positive. The bedside manner of everyone in the office is great, the work is not! I went back repeatedly to get a chipped tooth fixed only to have the piece break off again within the week. It has now been fixed by another dentist for over two years without a glitch! They said Dr P probably was not using the correct materials. They also said it looked like my teeth hadn't been cleaned in a year and were shocked when I told them I had them cleaned here the same week...

Yes, Dr. Padukone is a nice person for the most part but my last visit to him put me off ever going back again. He started talking about his political beliefs to me while I was in the chair. That alone is not good. But it grew and grew until I finally had to stop him and tell him that A) he shouldn't assume that his patients all feel the same way he does, and B) there's a reason religion and politics are subjects that usually are avoided in such settings. Dr. Padukone came highly recommended to me by a friend and I'm so thankful! I've had some dodgy dentistry in the past and so I have a hard time trusting dentists. From the first moments of my appointment I felt very welcome and understood. Dr. Padukone is very friendly, patient, and knowledgable. During my initial cleaning and check-up he discovered a poorly executed filling (from a previous dentist) and he fixed it on the spot. I'm so thankful to finally have found a dentist in the city who is trustworthy! It also helps that he's a big fan of the theatre!

When losing a filling, I tend to see the tooth as half-empty rather than half-full. With 6 baby teeth pulled out as a kid, a botched wisdom tooth extraction, and five torturous years in braces, I'm a bit of a dental downer. Needless to say, discovering a sudden hole in my bottom front molar left me pretty scared (and stuck with a stubbornly lodged crushed red pepper flake).

Dr. Padukone is the best dentist you will find in NYC, period! He is knowledgable, caring, gentle and funny. I have always had an overwhelming fear of dental procedures, but even meeting for the first time in a painful emergency situation, I felt safe and confident in his chair, and now after several visits would never want to go to anyone else! He explains what needs to be done, with honesty and humor, and then does it perfectly. The rest of the staff (Carmen, Vanna and Stephany, all wonderful) are friendly and efficient, and take the time and effort to be sure patients have a good experience

Dr Padukone did a great job cleaning my teeth and fitting me for a night guard, but after a year of his services, I'm switching to a different dentist.
I like how approachable and chatty he is, the receptionists are very pleasant as well, but I find the wait for appointments to be unacceptably long. All scheduled appointments are at least a month and a half away - this is ok if you're just going every 6 months for a cleaning but it's impossible to accommodate any last-minute reschedules (those will put your rescheduled appointment at least 3 months away!). To alleviate this problem

I loved my other dentist but got a new job and insurance changed so had to find someone else. Yelp led me to Dr. Padukone and I am very happy it did! Though I had to book an appointment 2 1/2 months in advance, it was worth the wait... and luckily I didn't need any urgent dental care.
The staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Padukone performed the cleaning himself. Pointing out things my other dentist did not, and even helped me find oral surgeons in the area that accepted my insurance to remove my wisdom teeth. My experience with Dr. Padukone was so unbelievable that I rushed straight to my computer just to write this review. After all, finding a quality dentist is comparable to finding an honest mechanic: once they have earned your trust, you form a life-long bond.
