There is a reason this place has lower reviews than much older apartment complexes on the same end of town. It's because they honestly don't care about the tenants and the tenants have rightfully picked up on it. It may not be the fault of the locals trying to run daily operations in this place within the limitations that Corporate sets upon them, but likely the fault of the out-of-state Corporation, Hayloft, that owns this place.

The apartments themselves are nice, but the management there are incompetent. I never lived somewhere where I had to complain about one issue so much. Completely unacceptable staff.

I have a few friends that live in this apartment complex. It never fails in our conversations they always bring up the Management Team and their Incompetence and this includes the Maintenance team.
Ladies in the office are rude, aggressive, highly unprofessional, and can’t even spell a name right. This includes the maintenance team.
The appliances in this complex are 30 years old so they definitely require a lot of maintenance. Good luck with that.
Before you decide to be a tenant please do your research. It would definitely be in a persons best interest.

I have lived at Yorktown Estates for 23 yrs. It has been my safe haven with wonderful managers and maintenance staff!! The surroundings are beautiful and well maintained. They are always working continually to update and keep us safe( esp. during Covid 19). I have no plans to ever move elsewhere and feel blessed to have lived here this long.

Management here is awful, vindictive, & stalking...if you move out management will try to get you to fight them, & at your place of employment they will try to get you in trouble with your own manager. They are VERY unprofessional and I recommend staying away from their properties: Yorktown Estates & East Hampton Estates.

There are plenty of other apartments in Wichita to rent from , just keep looking for a different one besides Yorktown, everything will be amazing in the beginning, but the end to get out sucks and everything in between!

Don't live here. This place looks nice but they will exploit you. They're trying to charge my friend EVEN MORE even though she's no longer contractually obligated to do so
Update!! My friend had these apartments then decided to move out early so she paid out the remainder of her lease which was like 1700$ plus 2 months rent which was another $1640. She paid this to move out early which is ridiculously expensive and not only did they make her keep paying the "shared" water bill and other utility bills for the remainder of the lease she PAID OUT on but even after buying out of the lease and rushing

Maintenance is about the only redeeming quality about this place. My mother has lived here for years and her favorite maintenance tech is getting ready to quit. He's only been there the last 2 years, but he is the heart and soul of this establishment. He always makes sure my mom is doing ok, and has went above and beyond more times than I can count. Hes literally taken my mother's trash out for her after servicing one of her appliances. I've heard hes even gone and got groceries for a man recuperating from surgery!! They have another guy there that's a recent hire, he seems nice enough, but I'm

My mother lived here. We always paid 6 months in advance. We were paid through August 2019. Called them end of March to tell them my mother was terminal, cancer, did we have any options (they would only release her to assisted living, she couldn't walk) I was told no. My mother passed 4/23/19. I called they didn't care but they made me pay for May and June. Of course they had the money because I prepaid. They called me June 20 to see if I could turn in keys 6/25 even though they charged me through 6/30. I turned my keys in 6/26. I hired a cleaning service to clean their ridiculous list and today
