The apartment appears decent, but here's a myriad of issues I am currently dealing with and have been dealing with for months. cockroaches are in my electrical outlets, we've sent multiple requests, and after MONTHS of waiting just to send some guy up to say "yup, there be roaches" like I didn't already know that. The toilet will more often than not close improperly to where it just wastes water trying to fill up despite the plug not being closed. I have 2 lights out that I've been waiting a few weeks as of now for them to fix so I'm not trying to cook food in the dark. 90% of the time when I call

The maintenance guys are great and fixed what they were allowed to fix so far. The items damaged or not functioning in the apartment are slowly being fixed . The pre move-in cleaning was piss poor and the property management doesn’t seem interested in making this a place (3 bed 2 bath) worth this much per month.

I've owned a business, I'm a captain at a very exclusive and prestigious Resort, I come from a 6000 square foot house in a very nice neighborhood. I have Style and I've lived all over America.
I can't say there's any reason to give anything less than 4 stars here. If you don't have class and expect everything to be given to you then this isn't the right place for you. With that said they offer many many specials and amenities to those who deserve it. I give this place five stars though because they are organized and have extremely professional and positive managers

Roommate and I toured here as prospective residents. The price of rent is attractive but reflects the dumpy neighborhood this complex lives in. The leasing girls were nice at first and did great on selling us to choose Avida as a place to live. We decided to move forward with the application process. It was when we dropped our 50 dollar fee when all sorts of communication went out the door.
They assured us they'd be easy to contact if we had any questions but we experienced the exact opposite. Not a single email was responded to, and your lucky to get them to pick up the phone. Their

Tadd Whitmer has been amazingly awesome and patient to work with. I've been dealing with some craziness and he's given me nothing less than kindness and understanding through it all. I've rented at several other places and NONE can compare when it comes to management.

Maintenance has always been quick to fix things and amenities are great.
The neighborhood has gone down hill over the years but Avida has no control over that.

Overall I would say this complex gets a 1. But due to my building and actually having decent neighbors and it being fairly quiet, I'll give it a 2. I had intentions of renewing my lease, however that won't be happening now. My main reason for it is because of the staff, they are the most inattentive people I have ever met. Maintenance is absolutely trash, I have put in MULTIPLE requests to fix things and it doesn't happen, because Maintenance goes in and deletes the work orders they don't want to fix. It took them 6 weeks almost to come in and fix a light in my apartment and

Truly the worst apartment complexes I have ever experienced. I would have given them zero stars if I could. There was a severe lack of communication on their end, but god forbid we are one day late on paying our rent, we get charged $137 dollars. The maintenance team was very sweet, but it still took about 2-4 weeks for them to fix simple things. When we first moved in, the apartment wasn't in the best shape, there were scuff marks all over and then when we were moving out, they charged us $240 to paint over these, even though we were not the ones who left it. I lived at Avida from March of 2020 until April of 2021. It’s been nothing but problems since my roommates and I moved in. First of all, parking is the absolute worst. My roommate and I pay $20/month and we don’t even get a guaranteed spot. We feel like we have a curfew here otherwise we couldn’t park. Not to mention the towing company frequently towed cars that were properly parked and the fact that they towed a whole row of cars that were parked because they put up no parking signs AFTER the cars were already parked along the street. So we moved here in December 2018 and actually had a very favorable experience with the management and the apartments, aside from the lack of parking. In December 2019, we moved to another apartment within the same complex to get an additional room. We were unaware that the there would be a management change less than a month after changing apartments. The new management was extremely unresponsive and unprofessional. We had an apparent leak in our outdoor storage, and after multiple times of sending in repair requests and going in to ask them about it, and then doing essentially nothing about it

Avida is complete sh*t DO NOT LIVE HERE! Shootings outside randomly, cops all the time, and then they tow your car no matter what!! Even if you pay the parking fee every f*cking month, you're bound to get towed. The saddest thing is Avida wouldn't even do anything to accommodate but take your money like the towing company would. Maintenance is super slow and only know how to do a few things. My air conditioners motor has been needing to be replaced for two years and they said they couldn't because there are more then 12others the same way? SAD. They never answer the phone at the

Please don't live here. There was a murder a few blocks down, our car got totaled because of a bullet hole, our moped got moved across the block by drunk people, and our mail gets stolen every week. Maintenance is extremely slow and one evening I caught a man looking into my window at 2am. Cops are constantly being called to the area for crime and your car WILL get towed. Happened to us three times because they will put random signs on the street without warning. Truly, this place is the worst.

I am disgusted by this place. Not only is there trash peppered all over the place constantly, but the big issue is parking. It's funny how you pay a monthly fee for parking, and you still don't get a place to park. My car has been towed THREE TIMES now, and I pay for parking. You're only allowed to park in the "Colored zone" that you pay for, but when that's full you are forced to park on the street in the street in red zones in which your car may be towed. And if you park in a different colored zone on Avida's property... You will definitely be towed. It&apos

Don't ask maintenance to help you on a Friday evening. Even if you're locked out of your apartment, they won't come help until business hours the next day. Changes to ownership and management keep happening with no communication or transparency. I rarely have an issue, but when I do, no one is willing to do their job to help...

Management vacillates between negligence and gross incompetence depending on the day. I was given a half-days notice before construction crews entered my apartment to tear up my room and my roommates room, causing roommate to have to sleep on the couch for the duration of the construction work.
