We have only been here for about 2 months and I must say, none of the bad in the older reviews is still relevant. Our unit was ready on the promised date, Rebecca at the front office has Ben great to work with, the maintenance guys have been great, and it’s just comfy. Only a couple of minor issues with the complex and none of the have to do with the staff. I’ll update at the 6 month and 12 month marks, but so far we are extremely pleased with our chive to rent here.

We signed a 15 month lease with Chartwell Estates thinking we were making the best decision for our family.
We signed the lease the day before we moved in and everything seemed fine. The day of the move, our "finished basement" carpet was soaked. We checked inside the laundry room and there was water up to the step that had leaked throughout the carpet leading into the living area.
After reporting the issue to maintenance and having them suction the water out two days later, we noticed the drywall in the laundry room was covered with black mold. We were horrified. We notified our landlord again

Horrible place to live. The area is great but this is the worst community I have ever lived in. The basement is unusable due to the amount of mold that continues to appear down there. I am told it is fixed, by spraying and wiping it away, but it manages to return. The basement has flooded multiple times, with no meaningful repair done. Service requests take days to be completed and are patch jobs. I have reported a mold issue on Sunday morning, today is Wednesday and they still have yet to address mold growing in living spaces. If you care about your health or your family, do not come here.

We have had heard several stories about Chartwell in which the honesty and business practices of the owners was brought into question, but moved in against our better judgement, since the price was right. There's a reason the price was right and yet here were so many empty units: they make it a regular practice of overcharging you and hoping you don't notice. If you move in, be braced to stand up for yourself. We got tired of it.

This place is a complete RIPOFF they do not accept security deposits even if you are a perfect renter with immaculate credit. They require a 500 (NON REFUNDABLE deposit) “community depot just in case they decide to do improvements around the community” ! This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever hear. Perfect credit, excellent rental history, income is far over the requirement but there is 500$ that I will never get back if I move in? My suggestion would be to NOT move here (the special of half off 1st month my sound good *when they do have it; however, the 500$, the reviews, location is
