Love my apartment! New to the area and have had wonderful experience since moving into Cornhill Landing. The property manager - Nicola has been awesome. Not only did she make the leasing process as unencumbered as possible, she has a vast knowledge of the Rochester Area and has not been wrong about a recommendation, yet. Definitely recommending this complex to others that may be looking to move, not only for the location but the property manager and her attentiveness to residents.

The property Manager Nichola is prejudice if you’re African-American she will not rent out to you and if she do she won’t put any new appliances in your apartment two maintenance workers quit a few months ago because of the issues they were having there with her

Nicola has been a great Property Manager for the 2 years I've lived here. The buildings and surrounding area's are well maintained and the interior is kept clean. The area has great parks, bars and restaurants right next door.
The units right on exchange aren’t super quiet with the street noise but the porches/private entrances are nice, and there are plenty of units in quieter areas of the complex.
There's paid garage parking which I recommend, but mostly for weather as crime is pretty low in the area due to proximity to the public safety building which is a block away.

Nicola was extremely professional and courteous in communicating during my search (updating availability of units) and in providing a tour of a variety of apartments while I was there. While the amenities and areas seem nice, they didn't have availability for my move-in date, so I looked elsewhere

The leasing manager is a total lier! I would have given zero star if that's an option. My friend and I applied to this apartment in April, thinking of moving in by the end of June. But I got problems with my current lease, so I asked if I could change my move-in date to late July. I was worried that changing the move-in date will potentially change the monthly rate or unit availability. But the manager told me that there will always be units available, and the rate will be the same as whatever she quoted me now. So we made the change, looking forward to getting assigned a unit.
Then horrible things

After an ~18 month stay, I left quite satisfied with the experience; the community manager Nicola is extremely responsive and in general a joy to talk to. The team working on repairs within the apartment complex is also excellent, friendly and quick to respond- even past midnight when necessary.

I rented with them for three years and had the best experience! Wonderful location, apartment, and amenities. Nicola is the absolute besttttttt!!! Very friendly, cordial, and professional. Before I moved in, she answered all my questions. Right after move in, she suggested fun activities in Rochester since I was new in town. I enjoyed the social events hosted by the management. She has always been very helpful, from my first email right through the move out inspection.

Apartments are very clean and modern and reasonably priced for the area. Some great views with the apartments that face the river. Each apartment has its own washer/dryer, which is a huge plus. Safe part of Rochester to live in, with a lot of local restaurants/bars/breweries within walking distance. Also located right next to where the Cornhill Fine Arts Festival is each Summer.
Nicola is an amazing building manager, she is super responsive to any issues you may have and treats you as a friend rather than as a tenant. What very few problems we ever had she was on top of pretty much instantly.

Me and my significant other have lived here for over a year and recently re-signed our lease! The apartment is modern, spacious and has a great view, exactly what we were looking for! Good neighbors, nice gym, great location on the riverfront with access to the Genesee River Trails. Management is prompt & very responsive to resident's needs and concerns. They are very friendly and polite. The building is extremely clean and smells very nice everyday. Secured and reserved parking garage spaces are available and are for an additional cost but worth it for the winter so be sure to reserve

Cornhill Landing, despite some of the negative reviews, is a fantastic place to live. I'm honestly pretty confused about some of the reviews here. I've been here for a while now and have made some great connections with my neighbors, largely young professionals and retired Rochester movers and shakers. The new building manager started in February and she is excellent, cares about her tenants and their experience and has worked hard to make us feel welcome and engaged in the community. Granted, the buildings could use some updates, mostly light fixtures and the community spaces/hallways

Poorly managed, terrible insulation, laundry facilities always broken and not usable, frequent false fire alarms, hot water only lasts 20 minutes in showers, not worth the rent in Rochester. Not what is advertised on their website or by landlord.

Be very careful moving in here. It has become a college dormitory for exchange students and these kids do not respect the other tenants. Constantly making noise all night and being disrespectful in general. I have watched them hit other cars in the parking lot and just drive off.

This might not be a problem if management would attempt to do something, but they are impossible to get in touch with and never respond to any communication.

In additional to this the overall quality of the facility is sub par at best. Outdated apartments, broken appliances and equipment, dirty dark hallways, broken

Great apartment if you want old, outdated apartments. Constant noise from the pipes because they are broken.

Please read the lease very well before signing!!!

The upside: Location
I rented an apartment here for 1 year and enjoyed the location very much. It is great to have the convenience of two great places like West Edge and Tony D's right outside your door. I also found the East and Alexander area to be well within walking distance.

The downside:
My heat pump broke 3 - 4 times over the 12 months that I was in the apartment. The maintenance staff was usually very repsonsive however, after experiencing problems for a second time and the inconvenience of me not having air conditioning for a
