Purchasing a new home or commercial space comes as a large investment. We rely on real estate agents to find the perfect home and attorneys ensure all legalities are met at the closing table. But in the middle of the buying process, the home inspector is summoned to provide perspective to the condition of that potential property allowing us to sleep better.
At Ironclad Property Inspections our goal is to provide inspection knowledge and analysis to assist with your new home or commercial space. We make the purchasing process less strenuous. We have the knowledge and background to determine existing and probable issues that could occur through years of ownership.

My name is Mark Castillo and I founded Ironclad Property Inspections (Lic # 450.011632). My experience began in real estate investments with the rehabbing of single family homes throughout the Chicago land area over 12 years ago. I later chose to put my money where my mouth was and graduated to purchasing multi-unit rental properties.
As a licensed home inspector, we are trained to find property defects. A home inspection is an objective visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a house, from the roof to the foundation. Communication is a key component to a thorough inspection. We follow the guidelines of the interNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and InterNACHI's Standards of Practice (the rules which govern the inspection).
Mark was fantastic! He was personable as well as quite knowledgeable and flexible in scheduling. He saved us from buying a really problematic property that looked amazing! He took the time to point out each problem (even the small ones) and helped us understand the long-term implications if we did buy the property.
