We use top sirloin and cook each one to order. The meat never sits after it is cooked. Tortilla soup is one of the favorites also, the tomato broth has a nice piquant flavor, you can choose fresh grilled chicken or shrimp. We were voted "Best rolled tacos" by San Diego Magazine. We offer beef, chicken or potato rolled tacos.

Excellent service and delicious food! Not overpriced at all! The quesadillas, burgers, rice and tacos are cooked to perfection! Very friendly environment and would definitely recommend for a family! Interior of restaurant is decorated with antique surfboards, making Taco Surf stand out from its competition! 5 stars!

The BEST chicken Tortilla soup, ever! Haven't been here for years, missed it so much, was in the neighborhood for work & couldn't resist, big pieces of grilled chicken, fresh tortilla strips, my go to soup when I'm feeling blah or starting to feel sick or it's cold outside or whenever U feel hungry. U have to try the soup, you'll be back!

Stayed at California Dreams Hostel for a surf trip, and seriously ate here everyday. They def have something for everyone, and the owner was the coolest (this is Alabama!). I had the burritos and the tacos everyday. either fish or steak. Both are so good. My roommates and I wanted to know what they did to make their carnitas so damn delicious. But yeah — Can't wait to come back in September! 11/10
