This place has the worse maintenance policy possible. 2-3 months timing is normal and fleas/rats are to be expected. Enough said.

This place is horrible I lived there for a year and moved November 2021 I had a problem w mold on the floors and they didn’t wanted to do nothing about it just want time send a company to clean floors that did nothing because of course that’s not how you get rid of mold but they kept saying it was not mold and never wanted to send no one to test the floors or even give me another solution. This is very dangerous and I got sick while I was living there. I had to clean everything I own because of the smell and I had to throw a lot of stuff away because o couldn’t take the smell from it this

If you are looking for a place where maintenance requests are just deleted and the staff give nothing on their renters, the cove is were you wanna stay.
Recommended, definitely not. Most unhelpful office people I ever experienced. Avoid that complex under all circumstances.

Leasing office is the worst when it comes to fulfilling the needs of residents. Called numerous times about trash valet skipping our building told us they’d mention something to the company and never had it fixed, yet continued to be charged for the valet. I had a roommate and had moved out since I was tasked to deploy. Called numerous times over… the course of 2 months and was put off time after time despite being “the first item on the to do list” every day. Now my deployment is pushed back and shortened so I cannot use my orders to cancel the entire lease and I&rsquo

DO NOT sign a lease here. This has been the worse experience. on my move in date they presented me with a welcome letter/lease agreement for 11 months instead of 7 months! Justin Schelmety and office manager Maggy were so rude and not helpful. When I asked to change my lease to my 7 month, they state that it is easier to make it for 12 months instead of 7. WHAT? they didn't want to give me the key till I signed the lease for 12. They explained it will be easier to do it that way and it will only take a few minutes, rather than waiting a whole day to change my lease into a 7 month. THIS IS

"I have lived in the Cove for about a year and a half now. I sincerely believe when I reflect on my life on my death bed, my biggest regret will be re-signing this lease.

The apartments are not kept up well. The tour takes through a well maintained unit, but on move in day, they put you in a unit where every corner they could cut has been cut. Feel free to let the office know about the fixes that will need to be completed, but just know they won't do anything about it because as I was told "It's not a priority." The water flow from my kitchen faucet has become so slow

Maggie in the leasing office is amazing! Life is good at the Cove!! If you’re considering a move to the Tampa area, the Cove should be at the top of your list! It’s a wonderful community and the apartments are top notch - any issues (that are par for the course with renting, etc) have been resolved to my satisfaction. Super happy here!

I called about a mold issue before lunch, 11:30AM & I got the response: maintenance has other emergency issues they need to take care of. The front desk employee I spoke to was named Amanda and she stated they will try to get to it by the end of the day. I try to push the concern and ask if they can check it out before the week ends. I continued to ask if they can try to check it out by the end of the day since I thought this was an a concerning issue and considered an emergency as well. The mold is coming from my vents... it is air being blown around my apartment place and what I am breathing

This complex is beautiful and right on the water! There are multiple pools, all well taken care of. This complex has a great staff and really work to keep the grounds beautiful as well. All the updates really make this place worth it. Love it here!

KIM has been amazing! I’m transferring to our office in Tampa (from Cincinnati) and the thought of everything has been so overwhelming. I called The Cove just to inquire & she was so upbeat and helpful from the very start. I called (yet again) during my application process to ask her what I was missing because I wanted it to be perfect. She walked me through everything & together we helped pick a unit that best fits my needs. I’ve now been approved & she called me to tell me the good news! Has also been very informative & quick at responding via email as well. If you’re thinking about moving

From the moment I called the leasing office to the moment I moved in- I have received the best customer service ever imaginable! Kim and Justin have gone above and beyond in every aspect to make the entire move-in process go smoothly. The day after I moved in I had a minor maintenance request and maintenance was there in no time to resolve the issue. The entire staff has made me and my puppy dog feel so welcome and at home. I would definitely recommend The Cove Apartments to anyone looking for an all around amazing place to live :)

This is not a safe place to live. My car has been broken into multiple times, my kayak was stolen, and my girlfriend' window to her jeep was smashed. The staff at the leasing office is rude and unhelpful. Do not expect to get your maintenance requests fulfilled in a timely manner while living here. I can not wait until my lease is up. This place is so termite infested that they would be better off demolishing this complex and selling the land to someone else.

Only been living here for a month but the staff are incredibly friendly (ask for Jenna), willing to help for anything, happily answer questions, and the applying process was smooth. Wonderful aesthetic and theme to the complex, attractive and welcoming leading office, kayak launch, cyber cafe, and even a game room. Its located on the bay, within a five minute distance of major franchise stores and restaurants. Lots of local and family run places to eat. They offer spacious studios up to two bedroom apartments which include utilities. If it's your first time getting an apartment, I would highly

The Leasing Manager and Maintenance are working to resolve matters. We have had problems with our washing machine and A.C. unit. However, the apartment is working to correct these matters. Aside from that, The Cove can be an enjoyable place to live if you're more laid-back.

DO. NOT. SIGN. HERE. I am a current resident here, and I'm dealing with a termite infestation. There are termites crawling up my walls... in my bedroom.. in my bathroom... in my kitchen. It's disgusting. I have been dealing with this for four weeks with no resolution. Pest control was supposed to come this past Monday, but a 'scheduling mistake'… caused them not to show, so I had to wait another week for them to come out. And who knows if they'll even show up this time!
The main office won't call me back. I've left voicemails and e-mailed asking for someone to call me. They'll only e-mail

We have a friend who lives here so we decided to take a tour despite us preferring the other side of the bridge. I had no idea we could get views like this in this area and at an apartment community! We toured with Julian who was the nicest person we have dealt with at all the places we looked.

I was disappointed to hear that during this tough time, there is no option to end a lease without a penalty. As an educator who works two jobs just to support herself and many others who have lost their income entirely; I believe there should be another solution offering a way out. Allowing us to find a way to survive financial through this unexpected and heartbreaking predicament. A great place to live, but a payment plan only extends the future financial burden rather than offering a solution.

Our ac broke and started leaking water into the floor with the flooring visibly warped. We put in a maintenance request three times and no one ever came up until on a Friday afternoon the unit below us complained of water leaking from the ceiling. They had to shut off our ac and gave us this portable. Not only was the request to get a contractor out here not put in on that Friday, but no one contacted us about when he'd arrive like we had asked. The contractor left a huge mess (like screws all over the floor, plaster and how do you do this to the wall?), but the worst part is maintenance

Moved into the cove for the gorgeous pool thats been closed for 3/4 of our lease time. Maintenance was never helpful and took a week before fixing ANY issues we had. Dead bugs in the room when we moved in. Rarely does the office notify you when you have a package. No security at all which it should considering its a big development. Water shut offs happen too frequently. There is also no lights in any rooms besides kitchen and BR so be prepared to bring your own lights. Thankfully my lease is almost up.. cant wait to move out. The worst apartment complex I've ever lived in.
1.The model looks nothing like what you actually get.
2.Management is completely terrible. For example, back in September a pipe in my water heater burst, flooding a third of my small studio. They ripped up my carpet, took out the padding underneath and put fans in to dry. They offered me no place to stay during the repairs (even though I'm a night shift nurse) while my entire apartment was uprooted by it. They also didn't give me a discount off of rent even though the place was practically unlivable. They left me for almost 2 weeks

Do not move here. I moved into a studio apartment in September. I moved from out of state for work so I wasn't able to tour the complex before moving. My studio was supposed to be updated and have a washer and dryer put in by the end of December. It is way overpriced, very outdated, and no washer/dryer has been installed(it's February). The water has been shut off 6 times by the complex due to breaking water mains and messing things up so that has been very inconvenient. Most of the on-site laundry facilities are broken. The maintenance men have kept dumpsters and their supplies all over

I am sitting here in my apartment at The Cove, crying as I write this review. I can't even take a hot shower to help with my muscle disease and skin condition because it seems like every time I say I want my water hot, and I need it boiling hot this apartment complex doesn't understand. Bad enough I had to move here after losing my home to Hurricane Michael. I moved here because I was shown the nice apartment at the front by the leasing office. It had everything I wanted. I was given all the apartment numbers that would be on the bottom floor and would look like the one I was shown.

My first impression of the cove was relatively positive. Chris, one of the leasing employees, made my move here seamless and i lucked out by getting one of their "newly renovated" one bedroom apartments. However, shortly after moving into the apt I started to notice things weren't all that peachy. The model they show on the tours is not what you get in their actual units. Random holes around plumbing fixtures in the walls, lowest grade appliance, none of the baseboards match, the windows don't actually open, and cracks on the seal of the front door. All little things that could
