This is an excellent academy no matter your goals whether it’s learning a martial art, physical fitness, weight loss, competition or just finding a great activity the family can share. I first trained with Sifu Garcia in the 90’s, and he has an incredible amount of knowledge on kickboxing and MMA. He also is a hidden gym for BJJ. I train at another BJJ gym with world champion teachers but I travel an hour to train BJJ at TKA on the weekends because he breaks down the content so well. I also appreciate his BJJ style which is an older school style focused on pragmatism and self defense, which

Our family really enjoys the time we spend at Texas Kickboxing Academy , we have learned so much about each other and overcoming obstacles to reach a goal, i’m amazed at what our fitness level has become! We can do hard things while learning how to be respectful of each other! I really appreciate their patience and the behavior they model, truly professional truly kind and very very informative so grateful we found them! Never thought I would be working on my black belt with my two kids ..what a great experience everyone is so supportive and respectful thank you Texas Kickboxing academy!

Both of my kids attend Texas kickboxing academy and they love it. The instructors are very knowledgeable and take their time to really teach the kids. They always have extra activities going on aside from the regular scheduled class. My husband and I have attended these special classes and we had such a good time. They will also work with you in regards to payments. Definitely recommend you check them out.

It's now been 10 years since I started attending Texas Kickboxing Academy and I'm still as excited about attending class as I was back then. The staff and instruction are top notch!!!
Sifu Kevin Garcia (owner) runs a great program for all levels of skill and fitness and Ms. Adrienne Harvey (lead instructor ) cares about every student just as all the instructors do.
There is discipline associated with martial arts and they run the school in such a manner.
It's a great place for kids and adults alike no matter if you want to learn martial arts or are just looking to get into shape. There is 0

TKA has been a great experience for me and my family. The training is great and I'm getting back into shape finally. One thing I enjoy is that TKA doesn't have high turnover of students like some other gyms I have tried. When you train here you get to know your training partners and the staff. It's a stable environment and doesn't have 300 students crammed into a gym trying to hear an instructor. It's small groups of people you get to know. Like a good private school, but for kickboxing.

We love TKA! My daughter and I started with them 3 years ago to earn our black belts. The classes are always informative and challenging and they are awesome at illustrating the skills we are learning. The workouts are challenging but you can modify anything to match your own pace. The staff is unsurpassed. You won’t find a nicer or more competent staff in Katy. They always plan extra events for the TKA family and we are thankful to be a part of it.

Joined about 1-2 month ago and currently on Basic classes
KIDS: our kids love it, they come home talking about their goals and the belts they want to earn.
ADULTS: the class is structured, first start with some type of technique, slowly building up the intensity and finishing up with a cardio intense burnout.
There was an incident in our first week, where one of the students was talking down to one of my girls. I was please to the way they handle the situation and nothing similar has happen again.
The facility is really small, but they make up for that by having and amazing team and culture
