This is worst place you can stay at as a college student. Management is terrible (Jacob). The employees they have working there give misleading information. I had an issue with them regarding my rent and was given misleading information by they’re employees Sydney and Chloe. Terrible service, management was horrific since the beginning before my lease was even signed. As soon as I moved we noticed a lot of things were not functioning correctly and the rooms were disgustingly dirty, they’re was vomit on my roommates carpet, they acted like they cared when we showed to the office and turned in

If you are a college student, do not become a resident there. The people in the office do not care about their residents at all. While my roommate was out on leave from her bedroom all summer; which the complex was aware of, they threw out almost all her stuff. I had also complained about a domestic violence assumption from my upstairs neighbors and they did not even seem to care. Madera also failed to keep us safe during the freeze and fixed little to nothing. Management and all the office employees are horrible! Do not let your children or anyone you love live here. Do not lease here it will be a mistake.
First off they say they uphold many rules here and they absolutely don't. Sydney at the front office sucks and always try's to give an excuse to not do something which is annoying. Even when I ask to talk to a manager or she says she will do something, she denies my request all the time.
When we moved into our 3 bed apartment, the couch was literally broken in two and my roommate hurt his head when a board of the couch stabbed him. There were SPIDERS and bugs everywhere. Cracks all along the apartment and water

I'll start with if I could give them a negative number I would. This apartment complex could possibly be the worst in San Antonio when we arrived everything was trashy and broken which we told them about and they never came to fix. My car has been broken into 3 times now which they have done nothing about even though the gate is broken to the apartment so anyone can freely come into the place. My fan in my room doesn't work properly which they have not even come to look at and I've been living here for almost a year now. Overall this place is absolute garbage I would never stay here

These apartments are very clean and the staff are very friendly and better then anything the maintenance is quick on requests. The only downside is that our visitors have to pay parking. I expect my visitors to feel at home and comfortable when they come and it’s sad that our visitors don’t experience that because they have to pay for parking as if they were going to a tourist place instead. I would think that dues residents pay would be enough so that our visitors can feel welcomed.

Nice apartments but just not my style, I am moving to High View apartments , supposed to have moved in on 5/7, but there was issue with my unit so they were kind enough to get me a room the double tree by Hilton I've been here since the 7th and booked till here until the end of the month. To give everyone else hope: my friend’s mother is very high up in the company that owns Madera and i’ll be talking to her about all of this asap. but i came here to warn you. THEY TOW VISITORS CONSTANTLY. not only that, my friend living there was never contacted about adding a car onto her lease so she had to pay $6 every two days for 6 months. $1080 on parking. at her own apartment. parked in visitors for less than an hour and was towed. the tow company has a $200 minimum and that’s after waiting to go the next day. had to leave the car for DAYS because we’re broke (WHO JUST HAS TOW MONEY

One of the worst Apartment Complex in San Antonio. Their visitor parking policy is completely a fraudulent scheme. They prey on those who park at night so those who are not familiar within the area are towed. They have a zero tolerance policy for visitors. I would advise anyone who looks at leasing at this complex to avoid this place at all cost. You cannot bring friends or families over unless you are willing for them to pay a price just to visit you. Do not go here.

I dont recommend living here. The apartments themselves aren't bad but the management is. Theres a part of our wall thats ripped off by the old tenants that was supposed to be fixed before we moved in, its November now still unfixed. Management is very greedy, they charge tenants for every thing possible, they even charge visitors for parking. Whats worse is that management is constantly telling tenants different things & loosing paperwork. If you want a decent apartment with ridiculous charges & lazy management, this is the one for you.

DONT SIGN A LEASE HERE. Go somewhere else. Sylvia The 100th leasing manager of this place is I don't even know what to say she is. Every time you try and talk to her she just starts of being rude and ugly and apparently she has over 20 years of experience a joke if you ask me working at a college housing thinking your some hot stuff. The gates are always broken. Maintenance doesn't even do there job. They basically put a bandaid over anything that needs to be done. It's always dirty that I say has to be the tenants leaving trash around but at least

I was a resident at Madera for 3 years. Honestly the first two years were great, can't complain (Aug. 2016-Jul. 2018). This last year though has been an utter nightmare. Ever since the change in management my roommates and I been falsely accused of the same bogus "violation" of leaving trash on our balcony. When we approached management asking for proof, Lauren Ogden told me that the photos they took automatically get erased from their system after three days so the complex couldn't prove what they were claiming was true. This place is the WORST! Do not live here. I have only lived here for 8 months and I cannot wait to leave! Since living here I have been locked out my apartment for 3 days because they changed the locks without informing residents. My roomate and I have been threatened to be evicted because we didn't pay our rent, even though we had proof we did. We still do not have a mailbox even though we have told them repeatedly, and have even lost packages in the process. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've had the worst experience living at Madera, from move-in day to move-out day. When I moved in they tried to move me into a mildew carpet/wall infested room that had been flooded. Then told me they would charge me a $250 fee if I wanted to move to a different unit, when it wasn't my fault the apt was flooded to begin with since I was just moving in. I had to email corporate to be moved to a different unit. The unit they moved me to, turned out to be bad as well.
