From start to finish what a great experience. I was so hesitant to send my diamond due to being in a different state. Sarah Walked me through the process and assured me everything would work out and she was right! I ended up not taking the offer and selling my diamond on consignment. They actually made a new setting for my diamond which was beautiful and within a month of it being on consignment it sold. Zack and Sarah are truly amazing to work with. Outstanding customer service. We were very leary about sending our diamonds anywhere, but with their reassurance about the shipping did so without any issues. I sold a diamond engagement ring with a GIA certificate. I knew more or less what it was worth. I had call other dealers for a ball park estimate. Majority of dealers gave me low ball offers or an extremely large range, whereas Truval's estimate was around what I had expected. One so-called 'top buyer' gave me a low ball offer in person, and as soon as I walked out, he immediately called me to offer more. This is my go to in the diamond district. It is not easy to find an honest place where to do business in this area but they are the real deal.
I've tried selling gold multiple times at different shops here and they have always tried to rob me telling me my gold is 14k and not 18k. Even performing a 'test', a fake test. But this won't happen here. Everything I sold was priced exactly as it should have been.
I also had a ring resized and it looks amazing!

I recommend this place when selling your misc jewelry & watches. They are very nice, helpful. I worked with Steve who was great; taught us some things. Like how invaluable pearls are these days.

I called to make an appointment. They use a nice customer software so you'll get text & email confirmations & reminders.
It's on the 6th floor: the doors are always locked down. This might feel like a strange journey your first time (it's on a crowded jeweler's block too) but this is how it works.

So i wanted to sell a non-sentimental diamond ring that was in the family since the 1930's. It had a 1/8 carat with even much smaller diamonds to either side of it. 14k gold band. I went to two stores directly at the street level on 47th street and they did not give me the time of day. So i decided on truval after searching on google. At Truval i talked to Steve and although he said it was not a desirable piece, he purchased it from me for a fair price. Just visited this place today during my lunch break. I had a diamond ring I wanted sell but I was afraid of visiting those places in diamond district. So I put it off for 2 years. Somehow I found this place and made a phone call. The receptionist was very calm and nice, easy to talk to, while I was waiting I had a chat with her and she took my fear away. And I met Shlomi, he evaluated my diamond ring. He was very nice, fast decision and honest. And he gave me the price that I requested. Very happy I chose Truval. I went based on reviews, and preferred going into an office vs a street shop or a station in a big room. Steve took a look at my box of jewelry with gems of no real value, but it turned out to be mostly 14k gold and 2 pieces were 18k gold. The price seemed fair to me. Steve gave great service and was very personable, not pushy. Overall a quick, simple and successful experience.

I'm skeptical of the reviews that I read earlier on this place. I did not have a good experience. After going to a few people to get estimates to buy my ring, this was the lowest. I don't believe I was given a fair offer and I think people should know that this place is not as honest as everyone claims. Be sure to read a lot and know what you're selling and what price points are reasonable before you walk into this place.
