At first i was very happy with this place. but as time goes on you come to realize it's just one thing after another. maintenance fixes everything half a**. it takes a lot to even get them to come fix anything. the office is no help ever. expiercience varies by building. some hallways get cleaned reguarly, others do not get cleaned at all.

Worst play to live the fire alarm always going off at 12 am mind you I have a one year old. There is always trash thrown around the dumpsters. My car was vandalize twice and when I was fixing my car I was told to take my car off the jack stands that's what garage are for. My HVAC unit is always leaking puddles of water. Power goes out randomly and the apt's are infested with bugs and mice. The people in the office is rude and not cooperative at all. Also the parking lot always floods when it rains because they don't clean the drains. Please if your thinking of living here don&apos

I've lived in my apartment since 2016. At first it was a really nice place to live but the last few years this place has been plagued with nothing but trash and noise pollution. In addition, most of the HVAC units don't work as they leak freon. I know this because my HVAC unit has been busted all year. Apparently they are so old parts can't be replaced and new units are on back order. I'm embarrassed to bring guests here because now its like a 24×7 block party during the warmer months. I have lived here now for almost 4 months and I think it's a great place to live when I 1st. Came to look at the property I didn't have a document I needed to move in they were willing to work with me and even told me how to get it so I think management is awesome area is always clean they even have someone come clean the building hallways every week it's quiet very family oriented and a very nice place to live rent is a great price and they have a gym, playground, dog park etc.. My experience here has been great this far Diane from the office is very nice and always willing to help I would suggest

I’ve been living at North Brook for about four months. To this point, I have enjoyed my stay here and find the living facilities as well as the management staff have met and exceeded my expectations. For the extremely affordable rent I believe North Brook is a great rent. Unfortunately, there are some unsavory individuals in all walks of life as well as areas, yet I do not believe this a true reflection of the community. Go to Jess. She’s been very helpful and attentive since my first night in North Brook.

I was really considering moving into these apartments. However, after reading these reviews, I have changed my mind. I want to live decent and the MICE and ROACHES (bedbugs, etc....) I cannot do. Not to mention the high crime rate everyone talks about in their review. Thank you to everyone who wrote a review, your reviews gave me a heads up and really made me change my mind.

I lived hear for 9 years. First few months was great. That's when it was st Ives. Ever since it's been taking over. It's been a disaster. The staff that works hear. Is so unprofessional,rude, inconsiderate, and disrespectful to the residence of Northbrook. And for the owner. I feel bad for them. Because they just don't care about anything. I really like my apartment, but the responsiveness of the leasing offIce and maintenance makes it hard to live here. In order to have anything done, you have to leave multiple voice messages, email, and in person visits- and you still have to wait months before getting a response.
They are quick to move people in, but there is no follow up. This morning at 8am on a Saturday, I was awaken by the maintenance crew hammering, banging or whatever else they need to lay the carpet. There was no consideration that the noise may impact nearby residents, no notice given.

Absolutely DO NOT live here. Rent is cheap enough, but not cheap ENOUGH. Your apartment will have either mice or roaches. Everything is being "redone" - they say, but everything that gets "redone" is just haphazardly patched up. Property manager, Nicole, fails to do her jobs, leasing agents are clueless and rude. Good luck getting a hold of ANYONE with authority around here. Mainentance requests? Flush them down the toilet. There are over 500 units here and you can count the total maintenance workers on two hands. Police here ALL the time. Trash everywhere. Don't waste

I live in Northbrook Apartment for about two years and it was the worst place to lived. When I first moved there, the apartment that I was supposed to move in was not ready so i had to move into another apartment. when I move in the apartment the stove was not working and it took them over a year to fix it. I moved into Northbrook May 17th into a 2nd bedroom apartment. I wasn't entirely happy with. I knew something was wrong when the original apartment I was suppose to move in, was suddenly changed. I moved into this unit that clearly had several damages with bad repairs. The walls are textured so you can see every imperfection in the paint. Tons of paint stains are on my floor. I haven't had central air since I moved in. I was told I would receive window units but that hasn't happened. Now that I'm locked in my lease , I realize I made a poor decision finalizing this rental

I have been living here for more than 4 years (and I don't know why) and it's only getting worse. The only thing that management is concerned about is the rent. If rent isn't paid by the 5th of the month you can be sure that by the 6th of the month there is a notice on your door. However, let something be broken in your apartment or you have a maintenance issue and see how long you'll be waiting. I recently called maintenance concerning something in my walls and was told by THE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR that he'll be right over before 12pm and, as usual, HE DID NOT SHOW

This apartment building is a rip off. If you don't live next to the leasing office (which is the only building they keep clean) they won't come fix anything until you have to call L&I. They advertise "Central Air" but I haven't had a working air conditioner since May. Living on the third floor my apartment can get up to 110 degrees on a hot day. I explained to them I have a dog and asthma and would need something to compensate until they fix the issue. I moved in here at the beginning of February of 2017. Upon Our move-in date we did not have a shower rod and the maintenance guys who had renovated our apartment had left their trash bags and old Wawa coffee mugs and trash in the middle of our floor. They had never sealed anything while painting the apartment as there is paint chips and droplets all over the floor in every corner of the apartment even the bathroom .We complained about it and they were supposed to send a cleaning lady which never came. I never lived here, however, I did SCHEDULE an appt with the leasing DIRECTOR and when I drove allllllll the way down there, she said "oo we don't have anything to show you." So then why did you not tell me this when I talked to you and made the appt? It's not such a bad place to live but it feels like they don't appreciate their current tenants. Maintenance is ok sometime you call and they come the same day or next but most times you have to call for 2 weeks straight to get them to come. One time I went to the main office because I wanted to renew my lease but not pay more in rent (which they were increasing by $10) I know it's just $10 doesn't make much a difference but I wanted to see if they would just leave my rent the way it is. I was speaking to the lady that is in charge of that part and she was really nice and helpful

My 8 months living here have been a nightmare. I just want to make it clear that management does not care about the tenants here. We have had all kinds of maintenance issues and management has done the bare minimum to fix things. The latest issue is a broken heating unit that does not work, and we are now in the middle of the worst winter season ever. Instead of sending a professional to repair the heating unit, management was kind enough to send us a portable space heater to heat our entire 4 bedroom apartment.
