This historic high rise apartment building is an emblem of the Art Deco period. Antique elevator dials and mail chutes adorn multiple floors, while the lobby's ornate chandelier and painted ceiling gleam in gold. Onsite laundry, bike storage, garage parking, and a nightly concierge offer the convenience of modern living amidst the glamour of 1920s architecture.

Services
The Westbury has been a staple of the Philadelphia landscape for almost a century. Built in 1928, The Westbury operated as the luxurious Westbury Hotel until the 1940s, when it transformed into The Westbury Grill. The popular restaurant and music bar catered to Broad Street theater and concert-goers and encouraged them to stop by, "for a dining thrill" as seen in a 1948 Billboard Magazine ad.
The Westbury is located at 15th and Spruce Streets, and with a Walk Score of 99, nothing is out of reach. The Avenue of the Arts, Walnut Street shopping, Rittenhouse Square, and public transit are all mere minutes away. So, walk out the front door and get ready to explore! Philadelphia has a vibrant culinary culture.

We lived in Westbury for four years, from 2018 to 2022 (we moved out as we found new jobs in California). There are so many good things about Westbury. I am just highlighting a few here:
The biggest asset is Westbury's awesome team. We worked with three managers (Stephany, Kevin, and Forrest (current manager)). All were so nice, respectful, and helpful. Due to our circumstances, there was a great deal of uncertainty in our move-out plan, but they were very flexible and helpful and allowed us to terminate our contract on very short notice. The other folks in the team are rockstars as well. When

I absolutely loved my experience living in one of the Westbury's brown stones on Spruce St. I just moved out after living there for the past three years, and if I were still renting we would have stayed longer. The spaces are unique with incredibly high ceilings with the original trim and touches from the 1920's. More importantly management (shout out to Kevin, Khalif, Glen, and the rest of the Westbury maintenance, management, and front desk staff) is incredibly responsive to any issues that arise, and maintenance is performed promptly, respectfully, and the job is well done. I would highly recommend

I've lived here for almost a year and it has been the best experience! I moved to Philly last August and the Westbury was so helpful with everything. The apartments are beautiful and the management is top notch. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I'm moving out of the state next month and I'm so sad to be leaving this apartment building. I would highly recommend this building to anyone. Everyone that visits me raves about it!

I have lived in this building for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. My apartment has huge bay windows and has a ton of natural light and I have yet to see a bug or mouse since moving in (and that's very hard to say when you're living in an old Philadelphia building!) They building has been taking COVID very seriously and keeps the main areas very clean. The staff is also super friendly and accommodating. Maintenance requests get handled within 24 hours of reporting. I could not recommend this building enough!!

I am a current resident at the Westbury and I have lived here for almost two years. Kevin, our building manager, is amazing at what he does and has truly taken the time to listen to me as a tenant any time I’ve had questions or concerns. He is an advocate for us as tenants and has helped transformed the Westbury since I first moved in into an even more beautiful space to live. He was available throughout all of the COVID-19 quarantine to address any issues and most importantly to keep us all safe. He is extremely responsive and goes above and beyond as a building manager in my books! His staff

I’ve lived in the Westbury for almost two years and couldn’t be happier. Amazing location (walking distance to pretty much anywhere in the city), a block away from PATCO/SEPTA, three blocks away from Rittenhouse Market, secure/safe building, amble parking spots nearby, incredibly helpful, competent, and friendly staff, and updated/newly renovated apartments. Kevin, the property manager, is a gem — he is absolutely wonderful to work with and typically responds to emails/phone calls within minutes. Glenn and the entire maintenance staff are as good as it gets. I love living here and would highly

This place is amazing and truly a gem in the center city – rittenhouse area. The front desk staff is always super friendly and greet you with a smile. Kevin, the property manager, is one of a kind. He genuinely cares about each person living in the building. He responds to my emails within minutes. Close proximity to PATCO, stores and restaurants. I feel very fortunate to call this place my home!

We've lived in the Wesbury Apartment building for two years, and we couldn't have been happier. Our unit was spacious with so much charm. Our view from the 16th floor was incredible. We have to recognize Kevin, the property manager, for always being kind and responsive. Especially when we had to break our lease early during COVID (only because we bought a house!), he was more than willing to assist us virtually. Lastly, Khalef at the front desk (evening shift) was fantastic! He knew our names almost immediately, always had our packages ready without having to ask, and even helped us bring in groceries

Great maintainence , well priced and the convenience of living in Centre City is a definite plus. I have been living here for two years and I am going to renew my lease for another year. Stephanie and Glenn and super helpful and genuinely care about their tenants, they've become family. This apartment building would not function without the two of them and I am sure most of the tenants will agree.

I've lived in the Westbury since 2015 and it has been a wonderful experience throughout. The staff is magnificent at their jobs - front desk and office folks are welcoming and approachable, the repair folks are responsive, diligent, and friendly, and the central office is similarly attentive. Stephany runs a tight ship and cares about the residents here. Stopping to chat with Raf and Khalif is always a highlight of my day, and I think the culture of resident-focused activity makes the building feel more like home. Previous experience in the city has left me wary of building and property managers

Lauren scheduled me for an appointment to view a Westbury managed property at 400 S. 9th Street and assured me "We will be in touch if anything changes with these units." I showed up early at the appointed place, waited for half an hour, and no one ever came, repeated calls and emails went unanswered not only for hours but for days. I have to warn others away from Westbury, Brownstones, and the University City Housing Company that manages both of the above. Don't waste your time and look elsewhere.

I lived here for a year. Surprised I lasted that long. Horrible management, security guard always sleeping, the elevator never worked, the neighbors were loud and the walls were thin. They exterminated often (I guess we should be thankful) because there were constant infestations. I broke my lease after getting bed bugs. Suggest looking at different apartments.
