Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. My room needed a little TLC with the bathroom door. And housekeeping doesn't appear to vacuum well. I went to search around the bottoms of the beds for any missing items and it was pretty gross next to the bed closest to the window. For the price and the fact that it is dog friendly, we would stay again.

Very nice staff at the hotel. My room was very nice and will be coming back in December. Gotta say the breakfast was alot better than most hotels. Usually it's a bagged breakfast and not much to talk about at other chain hotels. The pool and hot tub were both open (which I was surprised). The fact that they are dog friendly even made it better. Overall, it was a very nice, quite, clean and not overly priced. Thanks again and see y'all December 16,2021.

Nice hotel. Like the towel replacement process, leaving them in a laundry basket outside the door, and fresh towels returned the same way. Less interaction. Nice continental breakfast, flavored creamer is a nice touch. Pool and hot tub looked inviting, although we didn't have a chance to use them. Thank you!!

Do not come here on your honeymoon... or at anytime for that matter. We saw that the Google reviews had 4 stars. How?? The pictures were deceiving online because this place is honestly nasty.
We walked in and the whole place was under renovation, but it really looks like they have not cared about the renovation as the place looks like it's been in shambles for months. Also, the lobby smelled like cigarette smoke.
We booked a suite far in advance and when we arrived the staff did not have that room available. It was a mistake on their end and so they moved us into a normal queen room and

Very nice and they are making improvements right now. Love that. It's nice to see a place keeping up with maintenance and decor. Our reservations did not show in the system but we had our receipt/confirmation with us and they got us a room. The desk clerk also is following up on what happened to make sure it doesn't happen again or to someone else. Very friendly staff and room was comfortable /clean.

Ok, it's Covid and off season. We sort of expected the grab and go breakfast, limited room cleaning and off season renovation. We stayed because it's pet friendly. I get the facelift work, but I used to do this type of work; you don't leave piles of trash in the halls, half painted trim, boxes of tile in corridors and noisy painters. I was working from my room and had to listen to talk radio, loud chatter, sanding and put up with a thin layer of dust on everything. Workers stayed on our floor and partied in room until 10pm. Hope the work is done before the season starts. I can&apos

My parents and I were in the area for the weekend and decided to stay here strictly because of the "pet-friendly" aspect.
Only when we arrived did we discover that the whole first floor, "pet-friendly" rooms are being renovated and we were moved upstairs where the rooms were not pet-friendly.
The room was adequate. It was clean, but extremely small with old furnishings. Not super impressed with their breakfast, but I realize that they are probably doing the best they can under the circumstances.
The only thing that I really appreciated was the enormous pet-friendly

Of our many visits to Charlevoix, this was our first time staying here and we were not impressed. We had a group of rooms. None of our rooms were very clean. We had yellow colored stains / discoloration on some of the bed spreads. There was stuff left on and stuck to a couple of the headboards, clearly they don't wipe things down. The carpet was filthy in all the rooms we had.
The water in the shower was legit cold. I was almost done showering (15 minutes at least) by the time it started to get warm. The staff was friendly enough, but in the evening it's kind of hard to get someone&apos

The first thing I noticed when I walked into my room was the smell of smoke and mold in my non smoking room. I noticed the bathroom has mold on the ceiling.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The smell of mold is so strong it is making me sick. I'm not sure if it's coming from the carpet or somewhere else.
I thought breakfast was included but all I saw was yogurt and fruit cups. No waffles like I read.
The staff seems friendly. No complaint with them.
This place needs to be completely renovated.

The hotel staff was completely rude and unprofessional on night shift. When I arrived the clerk was clueless about my Groupon. Then one of the girls had her drunk boyfriend there and he was hanging all over her. Then she came over to us while we were in the hot tub and singled us out and asked us to leave when there was about 8 other ppl there that we didn't know being loud as well. Then later that night we were walking out to the parking lot and I did not say a word to her and she ran over to me got in my face and threaten to punch me. We ended up leaving.

Way overpriced for what you get! We stayed on a Thursday night before I had surgery on Friday at Munson Charlevoix. The charge was $147 + tax and that was after the $11.50 discount they give hospital patients. We checked in without a problem and headed to our room on the third floor. The carpet in the lobby as dirty and the he carpet in the elevator was filthy! Got to our room which was the size of a room at a Microtel. It was called out on their website as a Lakeview room. If you stood to the right side of the window and looked to the left you could get a glimpse of the lake. After traveling

Booked based on the rate, pictures online looked ok but hotel NEEDS a renovation! First please add an automatic door to the front lobby door as it is NO FUN pushing a cart full of luggage through it and trying to hold the door open for yourself. Hotel decor is just old in general. Beds were VERY comfortable though so that was the reason this hotel earned it's 2nd star, but since this hotel isn't right off downtown I think it needs to add something to make it more appealing for guests to stay.

The hotel is nice enough. We came during the high season, so after getting three rooms, one of them had to be a dog room. It's not slightly of dog, but it was clean. My main complaints about this place focus on the elevator and staircases. If their cases don't allow you to get to the third-floor easily. You have to go to the end of the building. This means you either have a choice of waiting for a very slow elevator or walking all the way to the end of the hall and basically backtracking to get where you want to go. The pool is not massive, and breakfast area is too small to accommodate

When I checked in they had three people behind the counter but only one person checking people in. One individual asked my name and searched through a pile of papers for my checking paperwork. A different individual said Id and cc to me I was like oh ok then and handed her my cc and my tribal Id because my drivers license was in the car. She looked at the Id and was visibly disgusted. The people before me were then talking to her about where to eat and then she handed my cards back to me but did not say thank you or anything and I did not even know she was completed with them so she waved them

Stay here for one night in tge fall. The room was small but clean. We stayed in room 220. Staff were helpful when we checked in. My biggest problem and reason for 3 stars is the fact there in absolutely no sound barrier in the rooms. We were awaken many times during the night due to the noise, people in halls ect.. No insulation to provide quiet in rooms. Will not stay there again.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. The room and the bed were quite comfortable. The shower was really nice.
The staff was friendly and helpful, even to the point of sending us in a direction to what they said was the best ice cream in the country - Kilwins - and by the way, they were right! Yum.
I would definitely want to stay here again, if we ever get in that direction again.

This is a good option for those looking for a pet-friendly hotel.
The location is not quite in downtown Charlevoix but it's only a few minutes away by car. We found the suite to be clean but a tinsy bit outdated (no biggie). The heater is very touchy and even at the lowest setting, we found ourselves wanting some fresh air. At least you can be sure you won't freeze in Michigan's frigid winters if you stay here!
The staff was great and friendly, even towards my dog. The breakfast was lite but good and they have a nice selection of Tazo teas and coffees (including decaf) which is available

I am completely impressed with the staff at this hotel! I originally had booked rooms at another hotel in Petoskey that for numerous reasons did not work out. Scrambling, we contacted this hotel to see if they had rooms available for check in for that day and the next two. The clerk (Nancy?) was unbelievably helpful and beyond understanding, especially after the nightmare we were having at the other hotel. We ended up saving money and this hotel has a pool and hot tub! The room was standard and clean. The entire hotel is clean. The free continental breakfast is better than average and includes

Very clean and quite which is great. The beds are a little on the stuff side. The staff is very friendly and are willing to accommodate most requests. However, for the price of a room for one night I feel like you should get a little more. The rooms felt a little outdated and lacking amenities. They do have free WiFi too.
All and all , not the best hotel but certainly not a bad place to stay if you're looking for something in the area.
