With state of the art technology and a DJ booth playing a killer playlist, Battle is for the people who want to put work in and have fun while doing it.
One step at a time. One punch at a time. One round at a time. Battle was founded by four entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity in the Birmingham fitness scene to shake things up. Although each has a unique background - MMA training, WNBA coaching, and running a national brand - they all found common ground in creating the next generation of fighters in Birmingham.

My wife suggested I try this place after struggling for years to find a workout routine I could stick with. One month in, I'm definitely hooked. Never thought I'd say I look forward to waking up everyday at 5 am to sweat it out at the 6:15 am class. All staff and instructors are extremely friendly and made trying to get back into shape enjoyable. There's really no better way to start off your day than with some good music & a bag. Highly recommend

Today, I tried a free trial at Battle Republic. This is a boxing gym located in South Homewood across the street from Holler & Dash. I was welcomed at the desk by two friendly coaches, assisted to purchase my hand wraps (a one-time purchase of $6), and supplied with boxing gloves (complimentary with the class), and a heart rate monitor (free with the first free class only). I was about 15 minutes early (class 8:45 a.m. on Saturday), and I feel that I had plenty of time to prepare (put my purse in a cubby, put on my hand wraps, etc.). Battle Republic definitely has a high-energy vibe, but
