Services
My husband and I try to stay at this hotel when we stay in Pacifica, when the price is right! The rooms are spacious enough for us. We stayed in a gorgeous room our first time there with a patio that outlooks the beach but haven't been able to get it any other time. We enjoy the jetted tub after a day by the beach, and the location is centrally located with a lot of adventures within miles.
Pacifica in California is one of the top must go places in the state. Brimming with culture, entertainment and natural beauty of its beaches have made it a favorite getaway destination for many which include locals and tourists. The reason why people love to go to Pacifica is because of the many different things to do as it offers a variety of activities to choose from.

Called Hotel, booked a reservation for Jacuzzi room 5 days in advance. Flew in and arrived at 1:40 pm, told to leave and come back for 3 pm check in. We did and arrived back at 3:15 pm, only to be told that there was a mistake and the jacuzzi room was no longer available. Customer service is definitely NOT what they specialize in. When we drove up to the place, we had doubts anyway because the place is very outdated. This is not a 3 Star Hotel, as advertised. The prices are inflated only because the beach is across the street, not because this place is worth it.

This place is HORRIBLE! For starters I had to call the front desk to turn on the HOT WATER! It took 45 minutes after that to finally have hot water for the tub. The "full ocean view" wasn't full, and had a huge power line in it. Paint was chipping on the wall in a few places. There was paint on the curtains. Tile on the floor was dirty. No comforter on the bed. The mattress was like sleeping on cardboard. Their hotel restaurant was CLOSED. The maid glared at me for asking for clean towels. The decor is comparable to a Motel 6! This place is not kept up, so I think this place is

This hotel was the worst I've ever seen! The carpet was stained, ripped and filthy! There was sticky substance on the nightstand. Hairs in bathroom and wrinkled bed sheets.
My husband and I were disgusted and asked fir our money back as there was no way that I would sleep in such filth.
The baseboards were black as was the tub.
Don't waste your time.
We ended up staying at The Dylan in millvrae which was clean and nice!

Not worth the money. We have been visiting the PBH for years and stopped for a few years because the place was becoming run down. We decided to give them a chance again last year and this year. We were very disappointed again. Yes the views are nice but customer service is lacking and their ten years of supposedly remodeling has showed no improvement. The restaurant on site is their only saving grace. So do your self a favor stay another hotel but make to stop at Puerto 27 for great food and drinks. If you find the hotel rooms for less than $150 the view would be worth it just bring your own cleaning

The location and architecture in this hotel are great . The pool is enclosed and not heated but nice to watch the sun go down. The room was clean .. not fancy and property needs some maintenance. Still an awesome location, staff was friendly and efficient. Large balcony great view. Restaurant attached is Peruvian.

If I could give this a zero I would. All the bad reviews and pictures previously posted are true!! We booked through Booking.com and as soon as we entered the room we knew we could not stay there. The room was disgustingly dirty! Especially during COVID times; we worried about cleanliness. We called Bookings immediately and asked for a refund.
The Ocean view they promised was of the dirty deck with old dirty chairs. There were stain drips on the walls, the furniture and floors were dirty! The only good thing was that we received a refund and found a nice clean place a few miles down.

The ratings vs the quality on Booking.com are quite eluding. The property and amenities that were described and confirmed was not what we received.
Parking: NOT for large vehicles. We had to park on the main road that has blind corners from both directions with incredibly fast traffic.

No hot water, one very thin blanket and a hot-tub that we never used but gurgled loudly when we were trying to sleep. Our view was of an ugly wall, one broken down rattan chair in the corner. Front desk dismissed my questions about hot water and actually told me to wait 20 minutes! Don't stay here. Anyplace else would be better.

Two stars are for the location and the view ONLY. The room is not worth the money I paid, with taxes and fees it was $325.43. (An extreme extravagance for me.) I truly wished I had checked the reviews here before booking my stay.
The hotel is across the Hwy from the Lind Mar beach, which is amazing. Plenty of surfers and people and dogs frolicking on the beach to watch. 1) no warm blankets in the room I couldn't find - I had to use a bed linen from the second bad (glad I had a second bed)
2) no bottles of water in the room (I'd add them since they're so cheap to buy and make more comfortable staying)
3) hot-tub in the room without working jets (need to check before let people accommodate)
4) after 5am very noisy from cars on the road (because of one-glass layer windows)
5) some electrical outlets are not working
But an amazing view! Your choice!

If my review was based solely on location and drive up appeal the Pacific Beach Hotel would be a solid 5 Stars. Visually it appears to echo a vibe of Victorian elegance. Directly across the highway from the hotel is a beach that is apparently popular with surfers. Our 2nd floor room had a small outside balcony facing the ocean. No only was it a beautiful view it was very entertaining watching the hordes of surfers doing what they love.

I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel in February 2021. The property provided a beautiful room, vista and access to the beach and the special nook of Linda Mar beach.
I especially appreciated Gloria at the front desk. She was incredibly hospitable, attentive to detail and was able to multi-task guests, phones and managed to do it with grace and ease. She made me feel extra taken care of!

The Pacifica Beach Hotel looks perfect from the outside. Perched on a hill overlooking the Pacifica beach shores. Conveniently located near a shopping center with a Starbucks, Rite Aid and Safeway. That pristine Taco Bell is also within walking distance.
They upgraded us to a beach view room at the end of the first wing on the left. Room was clean enough. The attraction to this hotel are the breathtaking views and the in-room jacuzzi. We only stayed one night, but this place had me wanting to stay at least two more!
