Thank you for your interest in renting a home with us! Application fees are $40 per adult which allows us to conduct a criminal background check, credit screening and landlord references (if applicable). Total amount of housing assistance, plus monthly income, must be at least two and a half times the monthly rent amount.

Shift Property Management has been very responsive, and very easy to work with! The staff was very communicative during the application process.They were willing to take my whole financial situation into account, which I appreciated. They met me at the property for a tour the day after I requested. My application was processed promptly and the fees were not outrageous. The rent and lease terms are fair. My maintenance requests have all been addressed within a few days. The staff is friendly and personable all around. I’m about a month in and this has been my most satisfying apartment experience so far.

If only all property management companies operated this well. My experience with Shift management has been amazing. The staff is professional and actually care about your experiences working with them to a personal level. I have no issues of any kind and it’s been refreshing to have no worries if any maintenance or issues of any sort come up. Jack and Erik and the staff have been on top of everything the minute something is needed and are always open to communication and solutions. Working with Shift has been an above average experience. Jack has been a terrific property manager. We encountered some minor problems with our rental house and Jack was there for the repair the same day. I rented from Shift Property Management for 4 years in a great downtown location and had an excellent experience. You can definitely tell everyone working at Shift cares about their job and their tenants. Anytime I contacted the office Jack would reply promptly and resolve or take care of any concerns I had. Anytime maintenance came they always responded to my work requests in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend renting from Shift if your looking for a management company that cares about their tenants!

This is honestly the best property management company I have ever dealt with in my life. First of all the approval process was quick and easy. Their approval process isn’t strict and long like other places. I got approved for my place in less than 24 hours. Not only that when I moved into my place there was fresh new paint, carpet and stainless steel appliances. They made my home look as modern and clean as possible. My home is modern and beautiful and my rent is very cheap too especially for its location.

If you are an out-of-state investor who wants a top-notch property management company in Grand Rapids, Shift Property Management is your destination. Shift was able to rent out four of my units in less than a month where another (unnamed and horrible) property management company could not do it. Shift handyman services are also top-notch and inexpensive compared to another (unnamed and horribly expensive) property management company in Grand Rapids. Shift was also able to work with the city on procuring Certificates of Compliance for each property. I highly recommend Shift if you want peace of
