Growing up in Israel as an Orthodox Jewish boy/man, traditional Jewish cuisines were naturally a part of my life, more importantly the highest standard of kashrut has always been a huge part of my life. I moved to San Diego from Boston with my wife and kids in the late 1990's. When I was in Boston, I owned a Glatt kosher restaurant and it was no problem to find other kosher restaurants all over the city.

Just completed a long kosher event weekend with 40-50 doctors.
Everything was outstanding from menu, to service, to quantity to presentation. It was the best I have ever experienced. I highly recommend for small or large groups. Great staff to organize. Delivers on time. Well priced. Thx so much Maurice.

This is by far the best Kosher Catering in all of California. The food is amazing and always fresh. The service of the people who work there is beyond excellent. The owners are beyond amazing. They will always work with you and your budget. There's always more then enough food. They always bring extra. I highly highly recommend them for your next Kosher Catering event. They can cater to any amount of people. They get 10* from me they are simply the best!!

I am so happy and thankful that I chose to work with The Place Catering for my son's Bar Mitzvah. Morris, Marina and Elisheva were wonderful to work with in all aspects of planning the event. They made it easy for me to enjoy myself because they took care of everything. My family and friends thought the food was delicious and beautifully presented. I'm looking forward to working with them on an even larger event in March.

We had an amazing experiences planning our wedding menu with Morris! After brainstorming our dream menu, we had a tasting, where Morris made EVERYTHING. So delicious and authentic, to our style.
During the wedding, the whole reception was flawlessly executed. From passes apps, food stations, to a served dinner. Everyone was impressed with the fare and presentation.

The food was delicious! Carving Station and Israeli Salads are to die for. Couldn't believe its kosher it tastes so good! Morris is a reach mensch and pleasure to work with, wants every event to be successful. He is reachable and very personable to work with. Can't wait to book my best event with him!

I was surprised that The Place had no reviews here yet. I had a chance to taste their food at my friend's daughter's Bat Mitzvah and really enjoyed it.
So, we hired them for my son's Bar Mitzvah and they were wonderful! Very knowledgeable, accommodating, truly caring and prompt. They delivered the order precisely on time and all our guests absolutely loved the meal! The Place has also helped us with hiring a bartender and the person they sent was incredibly helpful and made every guest feel special. Highly recommend The Place!! Wish there were more Yelp! stars to give them
