It was a pleasure working with Costa from beginning to end. Costa was responsive and timely in all his communications. Nowadays brokers don't meet you at the apt for viewings, so I appreciated him working around my schedule to show me the apt I'm now renting. He answered all my questions and was very straightforward. Costa also walked me through the lease and made sure to follow up with me after the move to ensure things ran smoothly with the landlord. Overall, great experience and zero stress.

Bait and switch "brokers". Responded to an online ad about a "no fee" apartment and when you meet with them, all of a sudden they only have different apartments that have a broker fee.

Like a few others have wrote, beware of this Bouklis Group, especially Foti (Frank). He was very unprofessional when he showed me an apartment and when i signed my lease. I had to remind him multiple times of things he promised that tne building was supposed to fix and renovate before moving in. I asked he have if in writing when signing my lease. Even after writing, the building only did 50% of the work. Basically, he was BSing me and mKing promises that he has no authority on deciding.

This is absolutely the most UNPROFESSIONAL broker firm in all of New York City. Don't waste your time with these clowns. My girlfriend and I were looking for an apartment and found a spot in Astoria we thought was amenable. We confirmed a viewing with FRANK BOUKLIS and exchanged telephone numbers (see photo).
Upon reaching the property 5 minutes early we contacted FRANK via text message letting him know we had arrived. We received no response. We know that this is nyc and people may be running late, so we waited 5 minutes after our scheduled viewing before calling FRANK. It rang a few times

The agent was 15 minis late for showing the apartment and he even disappeared after we sent our application for renting the apartment. No update with us, no reply and nothing. This is the most terrible experience I have ever had.

Beware of Lazos Tolis! I texted him after seeing an ad for an apartment on Craigslist. I hadn't even told him my name yet and he was already asking me specific questions about my credit history and financial… information. I found this to be odd, so I Googled his name and found out he has been convicted of larceny in 2016 (see photo) I was shocked and when I confronted him, he told me to mind my business, even though it is public information! I can't believe a supposed high-end real restate firm would employ someone like this!

Andreas Kambanis of the Bouklis Group was a pleasure to work with, very professional and yet with deep family roots to the neighborhood here in Astoria. Showed us places for several weeks before we found the perfect spot, and even helped us negotiate the rent down to a place we were happier with. Highly recommended.

AVOID THIS BROKERAGE AND THEIR SCUMMY BROKERS!!! Leonardo Mora tried to sue me in small claims court because he felt entitled to a fee for an apartment he did not show. The trial lasted a total of 2 minutes and at some point the judge even seemed amused at how silly the lawsuit was. Save yourself the trouble and use a different brokerage!!!

Dealt with two of the most unprofessional people I've encountered ever. They want you to sign on the dotted line-- but when it comes time to deliver anything that was promised is not there. I wasn't burned but I could have been easily.
Remember that unless it's contained in the 4 corners of the contract-- it didn't happen. So, when they say something is renovated, it might-- it might not-- unless it's in the contract that you sign it's not official. If you're presented with a two year lease-- don't sign until they correct it to the terms

Amateur Hour. Set an appointment to meet for to work with The Bouklis Group (using their calendar scheduler). I called the office, the other office and a cell of the person I was to meet and got now answer. It was still early in the business day so I decided I would go ahead over.

We had an incredibly difficult time finding an apartment with many different realtors before finding them, but from that moment on it was a breeze. This is exactly what you don't want to experience when you're looking for an apartment in Manhattan. The bottom line is you can walk into virtually any building in neighborhoods you like and ask to see vacant units. So using them for rental location is not necessary.
They operate within the confines of the law but barely. They advertise… properties on major apartment sites as the building with stock photos using false addresses.
