I been a resident since 2019.
The only thing I like bout this property is the maintenance when they called they come and get the job done. The management sucks they unprofessional. I can go on and on bout why not to live at the Cloisters. They got mice. They steals your packages. You have neighbors that makes noise all the time. I fail outside in the walkway due to ice being there no salt signs or nothing. I had to go to urgent care. You think they care no. The manager stated she was going call me back to do a statement. A week has passed haven't heard from her. I'm getting a lawyer

I’ve been living at the cloisters for a short period of time, and it’s been a great experience. Rhonda and Tita (I’m sorry if it’s misspelled) the phone are very pleasant. Rhonda is very helpful and always warm when I have any interaction with her. She walked me through my entire process, even with the challenges that arose, she did it with grace. I really appreciate that in an office staff. The units are huge and plenty of space, even with an enormous wardrobe. My neighbors are quiet and courteous. Any issues, maintenance usually fix in a timely fashion. I love this complex. And Rhonda

Rhonda is very professional, down to earth, honest and most of all attentive to what your are looking for within Your means. Her communication skills are great. You can ask her for assistance and she doesn’t hesitate. I’m sure they are busy in the office but when you talk to her she never seems irritated nor make it uncomfortable to call. Thank you for getting myself and my family into a place we call home !!!

I have lived in The Cloisters for 2 years. During that time, the management office was very responsive and always looking to improve the community. Tiffany and Kia are just awesome.
The building I lived in was clean and quiet. Management responded firmly to all noise complaints.
Maintenance are responsive. Roberto and Willy are professionals.

The property management here is horrible. The apartments are infested with mice, centipedes, spiders and mold. They refuse to fix our broken washing machine and also left us with broken air conditioning for 3 weeks in the summer. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The buildings are in horrible condition and the trash compactors often break down, leaving garbage sitting outside the dumps. Property management does little to fix or address concerns, often just choosing to put a bandaid on a much larger issue.

This don't make no sense... You pay 1200 plus and cant even have overnight company. The security guards can be NASTY sometimes.. I would not suggest nobody move over here..you will not be able to have overnight guest unless they walk a mile to your apt. The security is disrespectful the BIG LIGHT SKINNED ONE. THEY SAY they can park anywhere but they decided to take up the limited guest parking.

I've been living in these apartments for two years without having any problem, Vanessa she was very kind to everyone we missed her, but the person in the reception who will not mention her name will only give a detail that she has short hair provides a terrible service bad attitude , very bad customer service, and I do not want to think that it is racist according to the reactions she have when I go to the office (I am Latino). apart from that the Saturday schedule is supposed to be 12-5 which does not comply, I have two Saturdays in a row which is 4:40 and the office is already closed. put more

I have been a resident at the Cloisters Apartments for 2 years now, and one thing has remained the same; NO PARKING. This is a serious issue due to the fact that there is a significant monthly fee (i will not mention the amount out of respect for the apartment complex) for parking a parking permit/sticker for additional vehicle (basically everyone with a roommate). There is zero parking enforcement, although there are signs saying that they "tow" parking violators, they do not hold true. The majority of people who take up all of the parking spaces DO NOT HAVE PERMITS, so if you leave work around

I give this apartment 0 stars. Management company is rude, unresponsive . I live here for almost 2 years. Since day 1 I encountered bed bugs, flooding in unit 3 times. Different types of bugs flowing through. Do your research. Talk to neighbors. They (Managment Company)talk a good game but are very nasty, careless individuals. I would never tell ANYONE to move here. Too much of a headache!!

This place is in one of the best locations with reasonable pricing and units that have nice fixtures and look modern. Never had a problem, the staff is great and really accommodating. The apartments are nice and homey. I lived on the ground level apartment and never saw a rodent or roach. The place is clean. I enjoyed living there!!! Shout out to Marianne and Vanessa in the leasing office they do a great job!

Living in the cloisters can have its ups and downs, because the street and the college has some construction going on.
My experience at the cloisters was very stable.
The staff is very helpful and they seem to try to find solutions to keep you content.
It is a very safe area and the neighbors are usually friendly ( not supper friendly, don't get crazy... Just friendly)
They maintenance team works fairly fast.
The areas are always kept clean and nice.
The gym is sufficient enough to carry a whole body workout.

I've lived in the Cloisters for almost 2 years now and it's been nothing but a positive experience.
The apartments are affordable for DC, have really great amenities (heat, AC, w/d in unit), allow pets, parking is easy, and the rooms are spacious. I've never had a big issue with pests here. Any time I even spot a spider, the leasing office sends out the exterminator ASAP.
It literally doesn't get better than this in DC for the price point.

DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT LIVE HERE! I've lived here for less than 2 months and it is literally the apartment from hell!! From first glance, it seems nice: the model layout, the semi-convenient location. But after I moved in, I noticed the constant pest problem and even worse, crime rate. If the price/deal seems too good to be true it's because it is.

AWFUL!! The people in the leasing office might as well be rocks because that's how helpful they are. Nobody in there seems to know how the apartments work; if you ask 2 people the same question you will get 2 completely different answers. This was my first time in an apt and you think with them having university affiliated housing they would be helpful to college students who have never lived on their own before but WRONG. The apartments are pretty gross and dark since there are no over head lights (convenient). I have seen multiple mice. The maintenance people will not tell you when they

As a young couple with two large ( approx. 50 lb) dogs, it is very difficult for us to find an affordable place to live. That said, we were very happy during the six months we lived at the Cloisters, and moved only because the location was inconvenient to my new job. Repairs took probably about a week or so, but we needed very few (shower not coming on full blast, poor water pressure in kitchen sink); once the repair was made, we had no further issues with either complaint. The apartments were clean, and we only occasionally heard the footsteps of our upstairs neighbors. Our fob (to enter the

I am still in the process of writing a review. The Management has been given ample time to fix problems here but does not choose to do so. They know nothing about hospitality and lock you into leases and never fix a thing. The UTILITIES are astronomical. Every photo downloaded is REAL. The rent may be cheaper but the utilities and lack of response from management make this place a loser. I REALLY wanted to like this place. The worst part is I had to go to court BECAUSE THEY APPLIED MY RENT TO THE WRONG APARTMENT!!!!!! NO APOLOGY!!!. despite never being late on rent MANY OF THE PROBLEMS HAVE

I'm here as part of university housing through Catholic University so fortunately, I only have to deal with this another month instead of a full lease term.
When I first moved in my shower would NOT stay hot for longer than about 10 minutes or so, and that was with constant adjusting and in January. Look, I'm a girl, it takes a little longer for me to take a shower. The maintenance guy was there for something else a couple days later, so I told him about it, he claimed to have informed his boss but since it wasn't considered an emergency, it would take a while for them to do anything
