The Venue's communication is horrible. We were lied to multiple times on our tour:
- we asked if we would get the exact layout and furniture of the model unit and they said yes (toured a 2 bedroom with single occupancy). We arrived on move in day with 2 sets of furniture in each room and bunk beds. They say in the lease you are renting room 1A and 1B. So I guess that translates to you getting two sets of everything. Then they first told me you have to figure it out on your own (moving furniture). Then I overheard another worker saying to leave it in the hallway. There is even miscommunication

They've upped the security, which I really like. Especially how the new person walks around and ensures we're doing well during these trying times. I also noticed they sometimes double up when dinkytown gets a lot of traffic.
-1 star for the fact that rent is not prorated for when you move in, expect to pay full price regardless.
-1 for amenities. Amenities aren't bad but with all the students here, things get packed.

Here's what I'll say about the venue. People complaining on here are somewhat correct. Its definitely not like living in your suburban home where you get constant quiet. But management does try their best. You just have to remember most of the staff is college students who are learning things for the first time. So they are going to make a lot of mistakes along the way, and not be that professional. Rent is also reasonable for the area and amenities included. But you can find cheaper if you're okay living in not as nice apartment.
The one thing I will say about the venue is that they always say

If I could give this apartment 0 stars I would. Absolute worst place to live in Dinkytown. The apartment was disgusting when I moved in. The floors were literally black. Multiple maintenance issues including not having running water. My refrigerator has been broken since I moved in and I have filed multiple work orders and they have still not fixed it. I had to go out and buy my own. The gym was shut down for 3 months, 1 of them was due to a government mandate which is very understandable but they just decided to extend the closing by 2 months because they were too lazy to clean it. The amount

Beware of the management tricking you with hidden fees. We were told when we signed back in 2018 that are $150 we put down was a security deposit but really it was "admin fee" which is just cowardly, so we never got that back. There also was a lack of communication on move out day on what to clean which lead to more charges. Overall living there was fine, solid location with good amenities and overall very clean compared to the other apartments in dinky, just the management changes every year so you never know what to expect.

I’ve lived at the Venue for 2 years now and wouldn’t want to call any other place home! The cost of living is absolutely amazing given the location in Dinkytown. The management, maintenance, and front desk staff go above and beyond to make the Venue a welcoming and fun place for their residents.

I've lived at the Venue for 2 years now and my experiences have been great! The management is pretty helpful and maintenence responds to requests in a timely manner. The location is unbeatable for UMN students and the price is better than just about any other off campus apartment. I would definitely recommend the Venue to anyone looking for a nice place to live with some great amenities at a decent price!

Management has been outstanding and responsive since being switched around last year. Facilities are always clean. Desk workers are friendly and receptive to any sort of problem that arises. There are plenty of situations where management provides free food, resident activities, or giveaways. Whenever I have had an issue regarding maintenance, my issue is fixed either same day or the next day. In-unit washer and dryer is excellent, especially considering water is included with rent. Furniture is provided and is in great shape. Overall a great place to live as a college student considering location

The Venue at Dinkytown has been horrible in terms of COVID-19. I have seen multiple staff members not wearing their masks/wearing them improperly, as well as an inordinate amount of residents without them in public spaces and in the hallways. There is no true enforcement; we have talked to management multiple times with no active change. Besides that, we have had fairly negative experiences with maintenance. They take extreme amount of times to get back to you. Our sink has been broken and leaking since August, and there still has been no repair. There are paint splatters everywhere from an obviously

I honestly regret signing another lease with these people. I do not see how it is okay for you to charge a whole months rent of $1,329 when i moved in on August 22 (when they could apparently have a place available). Then they want to charge me again on the 1st of the month! So i literally paid One months rent for one week! One week would be equivalent to around $315, not $1,329. No prorated price or anything of the sort. I am fuming and it does not seem right at all. Let’s not even talk about how people that do not live here sit at the indoor entrance of the building smoking and leaving their

I lived here for two years, very expensive for the quality but I understand it's convenient for students. I had a terrible experience with management sharing my private payment details to people in the building and other people from campus. Word got back to me quickly, very unprofessional and never got an apology. Never resolved, all I got was an email saying it won't happen again. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Don't be surprised by random charges added to your rent frequently without notice as well.

I have only been living here for a month but I have nothing but good things to say so far! They provide great amenities including an in-unit TV and Apple TV. Everything looks really nice without being cheap like some apartment complexes in the area. The staff is really friendly and the lounge areas are kept very clean!

The location of this apartment is amazing and is close to everything that I would need access to! The kitchen of the apartment is spacious and plenty of cabinets for 4 people to have plenty of room to store food and anything else which is needed! The couches are very nice and everything feels so much cleaner and nicer than all other apartments I have been to! They provide a tv which is a perk not many places offer! Highly recommend to anyone!
