Dock Street Flats
A wonderfully hip & styled home is born. That's right. We took everything that's great about modern apartment living - designer interiors, contemporary finishes, incredible community amenities (like a rooftop deck!) - and put it all right in the heart of the Minneapolis North Loop. And did we mention that Dock Street Flats is pet friendly too?

Right outside your luxury apartment home you have the Minneapolis Skyway System and the Cedar Lake Trail. And a few steps beyond, you've got all the North Loop neighborhood as your backyard - the newest boutiques, bars and restaurants, and Target Field is only a block away. This is Minneapolis' most desirable location.

Lived here for a few years, and had a great experience. The staff are always super helpful. Service requests are completed quickly and well. Our fridge broke at one point, and they replaced it within hours.
The premises are always very clean and well-maintained. The pool and rooftop deck are awesome.
The apartments (we actually lived in two different ones during our time here) are spacious, clean, and feel brand new.

My experience with the facility and property management at dock street flats was extremely positive! They are very responsive and supportive to tenants, and keep the facility and amenities in great condition (my favorite being the roof-top). The staff was very transparent with COVID-related restrictions to amenities. The underground garage was convenient and important to me, given the location. I encourage anyone looking at living in the north loop to consider here!

I would recommend spending the $50 to $100 to live elsewhere in the neighborhood. Excellent maintenance staff, some outlandishly entitled residents, and ridiculous management. If you enjoy loud trains that shake buildings, strip club parking lots, regular break-ins and theft, withholding of amenities, and condescending property management: this is your place!

Great apartment. Friendly staff. Everything is always clean and working. The residents are also very friendly. Additionally, it is super nice that Dock Street is tucked back off of Washington. It allows for a little quiet in busy Minneapolis.

Madison was great to work with and it is unfortunate that was not trained very well, by I am assuming the property manager Jane. Jane was uninformed and rude, the worst customer service I have experienced since moving to the Twin Cities. Very happy I do not live there. Hopefully, Madison if you read this, get out while you can; deserve a better leader than you currently have.

The amenities of this building fall below the standards of other buildings in the North Loop. The building manager and leasing agents are highly unprofessional and do not wear masks while working despite closing down all amenities for the safety of their tenants. Responses on move out procedures take weeks and are contrary to what is stated within your lease. There are frequent break ins and a lack of security when 24 hour security and front desk management was boasted as an amenity at the time I moved in. The garage door is always broken despite a ton of break ins originating in the garage (car

This place has gone down hill so fast which is really sad because it use to be a pleasant place to live. If you want to live somewhere that you feel like a college student again, and not in the fun way, (think of having an RA that comes and enforces rules for children) but in your own adult apartment complex that you pay good money for, then it may be the place for you 🤣. The only reason they have 4.6 stars on fb is because the reviews are OLD and from when the building was actually a good place to live (they are mostly from 4+ years ago for a reason)!

This review is just a placeholder until I actually have three hours to write my review about all of the awful things you will experience if you live here. I will go into much more detail at a later date but for now I will just lost my main complaint. This building is a target for thieves so if you have valuables that you plan to store in a storage locker, bike room or on the bike rack in the garage - expect to have your stuff stolen. Multiple bikes in the garage are now without their wheels because people have stolen them. The building itself has about 8 cameras.....most of which are used

My Husband and I lived here for several years and enjoyed the location of the building. Unfortunately the lack of initiative from management and the overall care they had for the building pushed us out. There are several other apartments in NoLo and I recommend looking elsewhere for a luxury apartment.

I would look else where if you want a luxury apartment. Our "secure" building keeps getting burglarized and nothing is being done about it. The management doesn't notify people of the breaks ins either. The only way people are finding out is by word of mouth or having their stuff stolen. Our garage has been broken into multiple times. Now our storage area has been broken into inside of the building which makes people living here feel very unsafe. The management sent out a rude email blaming tenants for leaving the door jammed. Well then maybe find out who did it and give them a

I'm an infrequent reviewer of, well, pretty much anything online. But I felt that Dock Street Flats warranted my taking a minute to share that I had a really nice experience living here. The staff is attentive, they care about the residents, and they do a really good job of fostering a sense of community (frequent resident events during the week, so out of towners will make friends quickly). The common areas are really well maintained and attractive. The rooftop and pool are great areas to relax in the summer. And the location in the North Loop is hard to beat. Definitely a spot to check out if

Amazing living experience. Staff are always super friendly and always around! It's obvious the building is cared for, and if something ever stops working (which happens infrequently), it's fixed immediately. Love all the amenities. The apartments are built with quality finishes. Would recommend to anyone!

I lived here for almost two years. There are two problems:

(1) It's very noisy. Sure, it's next to the train, but it's also by the Washington Ave overpass which makes the trains slow down and apply brakes. It's a high pitched squeal that lasts for several minutes and will force you to close all windows and doors.

(2) The management is unethical. Read the other reviews here. During my first lease negotiation they repeatedly tried to sneak in fees that they explicitly agreed to remove prior, and almost walked out until they fixed everything (they did but it was like pulling

I have lived at DSF for two months. I agree with what other reviewers are saying - management is friendly and helpful, the location is great, and YES, you do hear the trains. I am on the top floor facing the train tracks. Trains go by frequently (sometimes several an hour), and you can hear them with the windows closed as well as open. It typically isn't any louder than an airplane passing overhead (as in, in the airport flight path - not a jet waaaay over head). Sometimes with the larger trains the apartment will shake a little bit. I don't think it's a big deal - it makes me feel

When I see a 1 or 2 star review by a reviewer, I generally check their profile history...usually the only reviews they give are 1 and 2 stars. You lose all credibility if you only see the negative in the world. Who would ever invite that person to a party?

Now to my review, I've lived at Dock Street Flats for two years and I've been very happy. I'm from the Boston area and I landed here when I moved to the TC's. I love the location, access to the light rail, and the community (and surrounding communities). I live on the top floor facing the train tracks. Sure the train

Everyone knows people usually only take the time to write a review if it's negative, so I wanted to do opposite since I'm in love with my new home and think the 1-star reviews are just not true! I moved to Minneapolis after living in NYC for 8 years and I couldn't be happier. Noise is not an issue whatsoever for me - I'd suggest picking a unit that is not on the train track side if that's a concern. Jane was upfront about that in the beginning, which is why I picked the unit I did. I have my balcony door open all of the time and have zero complaints.

By far the worst apartment i have lived in over the past 15 years.

1. it was the noisiest apartment i have ever lived in, despite having lived in new york city for 10 years. main causes: the patrons from the strip club next door that shout outside until 4 am; the loud trains that frequently run past the building; the walls are paper thin so you can hear every single word your neighbors say. we could not sleep at night and it seriously affected our well being. when we notified management, they didn't care or do anything.

2. the ventilation in the entire building was extremely poor, particularly

I just completed an 18 month lease in a 2-bedroom at DSF. I decided that I didn't need the space, but I love the building, so asked about a 1-bedroom unit and the office staff worked with me to find the perfect floor plan for an awesome price. I just moved from one unit to another this past weekend. As others pointed out, yes, there is noise from the train tracks that are RIGHT next to the building. But this should not be a surprise - there was a disclaimer in the lease. And the windows/structure are solid, so while I'm now on the tracks side of the building, the noise doesn't bother

I want to share my wonderful experience living at DSF ( as we residents call it)! I moved in April of 2014, and will be ending my lease March of this year. But I won't be moving far, just 8 blocks down Washington Ave to sister property Lat45. I believe that speaks to the great experience I have had living at Laramar properties. Since move in, everyone in the office has been kind, professional and accessible. I was in a state of transition, potentially taking a job out of state, and the current office manager worked with me to allow me to keep my rent at the same rate while I worked out the

I have been living in Dock Street Flats for over a year! Unfortunately I need to move out due to a relocation with my job but before I did I wanted to give a HUGE shout out to the team at Dock Street! They have been so wonderful to work with and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know each of them. The building manager Jane is always on top of things, as well as her colleague Josh! Kim at the front desk makes coming home a happy experience. She really cares about the tenants and does EVERYTHING she can to make life easier for them. Rob and team are the "handymen" around the building

I would never recommend this place to anyone.

To start things off, we were told that there would be a disposal several times. I told Dock Street that it was between them and the Vue (Loring park area) and was very upfront that the only difference was a disposal. We didn't get one installed until 6 months later - half our lease - and it was like pulling teeth to get one installed.

Jason T covers a lot of the problems:

* The dryers are worthless!
* In order to get to the public spaces, you have to live on a certain side of the building or you'll be walking a long way to get there. For

As a newer resident to the Dock Street Flats community, I've been elated with my decision. After spending 3 months perusing the Northeast, Downtown, Mill City and North Loop areas (at least 20 apartments), I found Dock Street to be the perfect fit for my son and I. The spaciousness of the apartment was incredible and the kitchen provides more than ample storage and a great breakfast bar to cook for my friends and family. I had been prepared to sign papers on another apartment that day but immediately changed my mind once we visited the Dock. Honestly, without a doubt with what you get
