Brazilian jiu jitsu is best known for its incredible ground fighting techniques. Ideal for those who have a small build, it will teach you to overcome large opponents at the gym and in the real world. Jiu Jitsu is a great sport to learn no matter how old you are or what you do for a living.

Our adult students range in age from early 20s up to early 60s as even older students can benefit greatly from the exercise and self-mastery that Brazilian Jiu jitsu has to offer. What's more, students of all ages have won medals in their respective divisions. Our adult Jiu jitsu classes are available every day from Monday to Saturday, and we have an open mat on Sundays.
Executive Jiu Jitsu is a class developed specifically to meet the needs of adults who want to train Jiu Jitsu without risking an injury which could jeopardize their career or livelihood. Executive Jiu Jitsu provides the benefits of Jiu Jitsu in a safe and controlled environment. Class starts with a low or no-impact stretching and warm up regimen, and continues with instruction on jiujitsu fundamentals with emphasis on drilling and technique.
Muay Thai kickboxing has a rich and interesting history. It dates back hundreds of years and consists of learning to use your arms, legs, elbows and knees to combat an opponent. For this reason, it is sometimes called "the art of eight limbs." Muay Thai classes provide a cardiovascular workout that will have your heart pumping and blood racing.
Jiu Jitsu is a self-defense system that utilizes strategic counter grips, body weight distribution, leverage and proper timing to nullify a bigger, heavier and stronger attacker. Jiu Jitsu will give you the tools to fight from your back against anyone, anywhere, anytime. Self-defense is not only a set of techniques; it is a state of mind and it begins with the belief that you are worth defending.
The typical image of a wrestler is a strong, athletic young man tackling an opponent on a mat. However, the fact is that wrestling is a sport that literally anyone can engage in. There are age and weight classes for young and old alike. Young adults, the middle aged and even those who are getting on in years can take up wrestling and fully enjoy it in a safe, vibrant atmosphere.

I booked a class for adult BJJ, via the app, about a week prior. I called and asked for pricing. And was very excited to start training again. Only to be completely disappointed by having the Instructors flake on the class. Waited 20 minutes. Just to give them a chance. Nope. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Totally unprofessional.

Mike and 7 of his students and coaches came to our academy (Renzo Gracie Reno) and they were a wonderful addition to Saturday morning’s open mat. They were extremely courteous, controlled, friendly, and had a great jiu-jitsu game - if that’s any indication of how they run their academy, then we highly recommend you pay them a visit. They’re welcome back anytime!

Without a doubt, the best place in the Bay Area, for both kids and adults, to learn and train Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. Adam, Stephanie, Mike, Daniel and all the other coaches are gifted instructors who truly care about the development and well-being of all their students. You will not find a better student-to-coach ratio anywhere. The atmosphere is so inviting here that after watching our son in class, my wife and I stepped up and onto the mat ourselves. Come join us!

Lots of kids of all sizes and skills, lots of coaches at each class, plus lots of experience adult student to train with.... there is plenty of excellent training here in a very open and chill environment. I highly recommend this club. Come try out some classes and see for yourself.

My kids and I all train here and I can't say enough how awesome the team is here. It's not unusual to have three black belts running the kids classes and the ratio of teacher to student is great. In addition to quality instruction, there is an emphasis on fun and rolling, so kids get plenty of mat time to practice what they've learned. Adult classes and open mats are similarly well run. There is a good balance of hard core competitors and dads/moms who struggle to find time to train consistently. All are treated equally and there is no attitude by anyone in the gym. Like the kids classes, it's

My son I have been training at Danville Jiu Jitsu for a number of years. My son 5+ years and myself 3+ years. This is a very comfortable environment for learning Jiu Jitsu. The coaches are awesome, each bring a variety of different skills to make classes interesting for all. The members of Danville Jiu Jitsu and open mats are terrific and many of them have become close friends. If you or your family want to learn in a comfortable environment, this is the place for you.

Danville Jiu Jitsu is a GREAT place to train! I’ve been training with this team for years and know you couldn’t find a better group of instructors and training partners in the area. They offer jiu-jitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, day and evening classes, you name it! The kids program is outstanding; focusing on self-defense, building confidence through technical application and practice, competition and having fun all the while. Come out and give the team a try and you may find yourself in a lifelong activity you’ll love.

I've been training with the instructors at Danville Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling for many years now. I enjoy the teaching style, the program and the overall vibe of the gym. Mike and Stephanie bring a wealth of knowledge to the realm of grappling.
But what I love the most is the network of friends and practitioners who gather to train and learn from one another.
Thank you for everything that you do!!

Danville Jiu Jitsu has the BEST coaches and technique. They have helped my son & daughter to grow both physically and mentally to be their best. The coaches take time to grow and challenge each student which in return cultivates self confidence, character and growth. I love sending my kids to train with amazing coaches and mentors!
