Team Santos Jiu Jitsu

I bring my son to the kids class, and plan on bringing my other children as well. Great gym, great teaching, and not just jiu jitsu, but character. Jon and team do a great job emphasizing teamwork in a very positive environment.

Excellent atmosphere for training. Family oriented with amazing support. All of the coaches are committed and willing to go the extra mile, facilitating a nurturing environment. Very blessed to have my children be part of it !!

This is my new jiu jitsu club. After a long hiatus, Coach Jon Santos is building me back up to where I was when I left and he's already shooting for me to reach higher goals. All of this is happening under his watchful eye and at my pace. He knows exactly how hard to push me. He's a fantastic Coach and his club is the the real deal with lots of young up and comers that are competing in local, regional and national level mma, boxing, Muay Thai and BJJ tournaments and competitions.

I just ended my 9 month stay with Team Santos. Jon is a wonderful coach-very sincere, encouraging, and caring. Additionally, he's extremely knowledgable and serious about jiu jitsu. He and the rest of the coaches at Team Santos have showed me things I hadn't seen in my 4 years of prior training.

The whole team training is a diverse group of decent people. And all are very supportive and personable to one another. It's a real family vibe from top down as jiu jitsu ought to be. Whole heartedly recommend Team Santos, GO TRAIN!

This review is well over due - Coach Jon puts his heart into teaching the art of jiu jitsu. It's amazing to see the progression of the kids class. The class is offered 4 days a week, in which you can choose which days/ or all days to attend for the same flat monthly rate. Along with learning techniques, discipline, self defense, Coach Jon also throws in fun for the kids. The belts are EARNED and are at no cost to the parent. All in all, this is a great place for my son to be.

Jon and his team have been amazing with my son. I could not be more grateful. After visiting multiple locations in the area, this was the ONLY one that combines older and younger men. The older boys really encourage and teach the younger ones, giving back. My son now helps out with the kids class knowing the importance of giving back and serving. It's a great pattern to teach. Last bit, you don't pay for belts, they are earned with hard work over a LONG period of time. I have yet to see another gym like this one. If he wanted an easy route, he would have chosen another gym.

I've trained and taught jiu jitsu for over a decade, at many places around the world, and you will be hard-pressed to find a more family-friendly jiu jitsu establishment than Team Santos. It starts at the top with Jon giving everything he can from his heart, the instructors following suit, and the students providing a warm and welcoming experience for anyone new who steps through the door. The facility is squeaky clean, the teaching and training are top notch, if competing is your goal, many champions have been bred from this place. Jon Santos is a great instructor with a resume full of Ufc and Bjj greats. Friendly and fun, if your new or experienced, there s awesome people to train and learn with. Show up and you ll have a great time.

Coming from out of town, Team Santos took me in like family. Excellent place to train. I have definitely seen a major improvement in my BJJ game having only spent 6 months there. I would recommend Team Santos to anyone in the East Bay area. Also, you will not find a BJJ gym that has a better price in California. It's a no brainer. Team Santos BJJ all day.

Not only is he a great instructor, but a great mentor. This place is like a second family. His staff is probably the best and well rounded I've ever been taught by. I've also had a chance to sit in on a youth class, I can only highly recommend it. The instructors for that class, really enjoy it and so do the kids.

Love the team and Jon is the man, didn't even charge me a drop in fee for the first few times (I ended up paying him 40$ later but I mean come on, he was literally letting me train for free how could I not at least compensate him). Smaller Muay Thai area in the back but its been cleaned up and is pretty functional now. The rolling is off the hook

There's no better place to learn BJJ around! I've known Jon since I was 14 and he's easily the best coach I could ever ask for. If you want to learn real BJJ you have to come train here

When it comes to immersing yourself in martial arts, the most important thing to look for is an instructor you can learn and grow with. Jon Santos has been my instructor since I was in 5th grade, and I can honestly say that I would not have become who I am today if it was not for Jon and team Santos. Teaching and harnessing one's self confidence and esteem is one of the foundations that makes Team Santos so great. Whether it is for hobby, sport, or even a career, you will appreciate what Team Santos has to offer in all aspects.

My 5 year old son has been attending the kids class here for about 3 months, and he LOVES it. They offer kids classes 4 times a week, and he insists on going all 4 days unless we are out of town.

Team Santos is reasonably priced, and you get a full hour for the kids class. They just moved to a bigger facility where everyone has plenty of space. There is space for adults to sit, and restrooms available.

I find that the kids class is a good balance of learning technique and the application of it. They spend a lot of time warming up and stretching to prevent injuries. Each coach is also understanding

Team Santos is the place to be! These guys have the best competitors in the area!

Its a place for everyone, very fun and laid back. Jon is a great coach and a friend. He constantly gives himself for the team and sacrifices a lot while being a father and a businessman.

They push it hard and it gives results.

I was only able to train with Team Santos for a couple months before I had to commit all my time to work and college but I can honestly say it was an amazing experience even though it was cut short. Jon and Jay are excellent instructors. They treat their students like family and welcome newcomers with open arms. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to train.

I started training here back in November and since then Team Santos has become like family to me. Jon and Jay are not only extremely knowledgeable and excellent instructors, but are very supportive and encouraging. Also, unlike some schools that will charge you an arm and a leg for tuition, Team Santos is very reasonably priced. They are dedicated to teaching and just want you to learn. Even if you know nothing about bjj, they will accept you and build you up. If you want to learn jiu jitsu, this is the place to do it!
