Oaks At Lakeshore

The parking here is ATROCIOUS!! I do not live here but I know people who did and you WILL NOT find a spot after 9pm! Go one light down to Avenues of Lakeshore. I’ve never parked farther than 50 feet from my apartment.

Update: Still bad. They are issuing parking decals, so people will not park illegally, but the issue is there is no parking, so you have to park illegally if you want to go home for the night. The leasing office is not helpful.
Terrible office staff. I have lived there for over three years. The last year has been hell. I can't wait for July! Parking is the worse, and they will threaten to tow your car if parked illegally. Don't move here.

I'm a current resident of the Oaks and love it. Great location, prices are reasonable, units are very nice, and the complex as a whole is very well maintained.

Best closet space I have seen in an apartment. Maintenance work orders are fast and the outside is kept clean. Able to do shorter lease than 12 months and all utilities except power are included in rent.

I have come to these apartments at least 4 or 5 times and every time, they give me an excuse as to why no one can show me an apartment. Last time, the lady said she would give me a call back and never did. I'm starting to get suspicious.

Decent price for being semi close to downtown. The only star i'm knocking off isn't actually their fault but being downwind from some treatment plant made it smell like sewage outside, smell doesn't come inside though. Being that I don't go outside much if i'm home - I'd rent there again.

Dana is by far one of the best apartment managers I have ever dealt with. Maintenance is also quick to respond to service requests.

Home-y and close to UAB. It's pretty quiet with a Forrest view. However it smells like trash !! They have a MAJOR dumpster problem. Rent should be decreased for what we've had to deal with. It will make you gag even from the street. It has a new gym room and nice pool but what's the point because it's next to the smelly dumpsters. The roads inside the complex are just that-COMPLEX- poorly designed and dangerous. Paradise disguised.

Extremely upset by recent water pressure issue. Been like this for a week. Unacceptable!!!

Quiet. Good location. This is my 3rd year living here. The rooms are more spacious than those in other apartment complexes. The office staff here is great and maintenance responds very quickly to any issues.

Great community, very quiet, and great location. The entire staff is very friendly and work orders are always done immediately when you call in something. Love my apartment.
