Hutcherson Goldsmithing was established in Portland, Oregon in 2013 by Dustin Hutcherson. Since the beginning, Dustin has been determined to provide the highest quality in custom jewelry fabrication, design, repair and alteration services through exclusively in-house production. He utilizes both traditional metalsmithing techniques and state-of-the art technology and equipment in his jewelry studio.
Hutcherson Goldsmithing is a family-run jewelry store, founded in 2013 by Dustin Hutcherson. Dustin's wife, Caroline and brother-in-law George joined him in the next couple years as the business grew. The three of us all grew up on Kodiak Island in Alaska, and Dustin and Caroline were high school sweethearts.
We are grateful to able to make a living doing something that we love in a place we love. As a business and as humans, we're committed to improving our global community and decreasing our impact on the environment, through utilizing best practices and supporting charities that are working on positive changes.
Hutcherson Goldsmithing specializes in creating custom jewelry through an experience to remember. We will design and construct an original piece of jewelry for you, while working with you step-by-step to ensure your extraordinary treasure is one that is admired for a lifetime. Our personalized approach to the design process is done with combined efforts with you, to ensure you receive an authentic, pristine piece.
We accept returns within 5 days of delivery. Jewelry must be in original, unworn and unaltered condition. Please note that custom orders, special orders and altered or sized items are final sales and may not be returned or exchanged. Return shipping charges are your responsibility. Please contact us right away if you wish to return a piece and we will provide you with return instructions.

I recently had my grandmothers ring repaired at Hutcherson Goldsmithing and I am very pleased with how it turned out. Caroline was wonderful. I took the ring in knowing nothing about it other than it was in poor shape. Caroline was able to see that some engraving had worn off so I decided to have them re-engrave the ring along with fixing its band and adding all new prongs. It turned out beautifully! I will definitely have some custom jewelry made in the future by Hutcherson Goldsmithing.

We came to Hutcherson to design and create a custom wedding band to go with my engagement ring; and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! We had an initial visit with them to help brainstorm some designs. Caroline was awesome, I had no idea where to start but she listened to all of our ideas and came up with several amazing designs for us to choose from.
They brought me in to see a demo version of the ring and happily made any changes I had, and the end result is better than I could have imagined! I'm so happy to have worked with Caroline and Dustin and will definitely use and recommend

Caroline and Dustin of Hutcherson Goldsmithing are absolutely phenomenal. I had been searching for months for a metalist and jeweler that would reset a sentimental stone I had into a more feasible earring setting, when they were recommended to me. Caroline is so personable and knowledgeable, really taking the time with me to figure out which setting would keep the stone most secure for the helix piercing as she understood my biggest fear is accidentally losing it (mask on, mask off), as well as where to secure the setting to the hoop so it could display nicely in my ear. She even cleaned the stone

Dustin and Caroline are awesome people to work with. I have a very busy professional schedule and did not know a lot about rings. They took my idea and executed on it flawlessly. I even requested to have the ring quite a bit earlier than their typical 6 week window and they did everything they could to accommodate me.
