This place was great! Located close to old downtown and some of the best pizza I've had in a long time, Pizza Bella's. Customer service here was excellent and the beds were comfy as well. We didn't go to the pool but it looked clean and inviting. In the morning, we went to the lobby and got some free breakfast. They had a decent selection of things to choose from like: oatmeal, cereal and an assortment of packaged pastries. This is probably one of my more enjoyable stays out the recent batch of places I've spent the night at.

COVID measures are not taken seriously.
Booked a room online for my parents because I was waiting for my COVID test results and called reception to see if I could make the payment over the phone. I explained I didn't want to physically be there to swipe my card because I didn't want to expose anyone, but still they refused to take my card details over the phone. Reception told me to 'give them cash' 😒. The whole point of this was to stay away from others 🤦🏻♀️ So off I went to pay and check in before they arrived.
Guess who did have COVID after all? 😶
Nevertheless, my parents

I don’t get the positive reviews for this hotel. Maybe the quality of hotels in this area is terrible or something. I would give this hotel (and it’s staff) a 3/5 at best. It’s dated and the front desk girl was incredibly unhelpful every time we had a question. Would not recommend. There is a Marriott down the street that you can get for a similar price on Priceline and it’s significantly better. Also, this hotel is in a busy industrial area that feels unsafe for walking. So, if you don’t have a vehicle, be aware it is not walkable.

We loved our stay at Old Town Inn! Talk about staying in California without knowing your in California. We thought they would be strict with Covid but it was the complete opposite. They did not require masks and they had a good breakfast for us in the morning. The staff was super friendly, and they even had movies that you could rent to watch in your room. Overall one of the better experiences I have had while at a hotel. Definitely make sure to stay at this location if you have the chance.

It’s a quaint little inn in a convenient location. The lady at the front desk, Alex (I think?), who checked us in was very nice and efficient! She explained all the amenities available, and the perks included in our stay. It’s not newly remodeled, but the room we stayed at was decent and clean. Breakfast was just oatmeal, cereal, some pastries, boiled eggs, and yogurt. There was no warm food, but for the price you pay, I’d still say it’s very well worth it.

Ok- So took a chance on this place.
Just needed a place to lay my head. If your looking for a fancy, nice towels, nice soaps, bedding etc.. this is not for you.
If you want a clean, relatively quiet place to crash then this place is fine. It's inexpensive and does the job.
Pleasant reception desk and nice that they had coffee and a few grab and go breakfast items in the morning in the lobby.
Free parking was a perk. And it was safe.
Will I stay here again? Probably not. You kinda get what you pay for.

This place has roaches! So, if you're willing to switch rooms in the middle of the night than this is the perfect place for you! Also, when I let them know it was a "oh sorry about that". Like nothing was wrong! Second, I asked for military discount because it states it on their website, but I was told I was already given a discount. Which was a lie because I booked the room for the same rate as it was quoted online. However, I did speak to Stevie and was given the discount after I checked out.

A bit dated but peaceful and quiet. My room was super clean like others indicated but the room had an old stuffy cigarette smell. I had to Lysol the whole room. The room is dated so if you just need a place to crash that is clean, it's recommended . Check in was easy and fast, front desk was super friendly. Breakfast is cereal, hard boiled egg, yogurt and sugary breads. Good for on the run trips but not as a full breakfast. Overall wasnt a bad experience.

I needed a place close to the airport and found this online. This place is charming and clean. The area where it's located is more industrial than touristy but it seemed pretty safe. The entire staff I dealt with went above and beyond my expectations to attend to our comfort. I even left a sentimental object behind and not only did they find it and save it for me but a sweet note was left describing the object and an explanation of its value to me. I will definitely be back and I will recommend it to others.

This cute place was a great find. we were driving down to Jamul from the SFBA to get a puppy after losing our cairn in feb. i found it on BringFido, since our other dog came with us. it was important to us that we could take our cherished 13-yr-old son. he loved his little brother and doesn't like to be alone since the loss.
it's in a somewhat industrialish area, but do NOT let that deter you. it is a beautifully maintained hotel near the freeway, yet is it quiet and peaceful. there are familiar shops/stores very close by and the beach is only a few minutes' drive away.

This is my second time staying at the Old Town Inn (the first was in 2010). It's still as nice as I remember; in fact, I think it's been redecorated since my first visit. This time around I brought my husband Jeff and our pug Rosie.
I really love the petite king rooms in the section by the pool. They still have their vintage charm but with modern amenities. The room is small but comfortable and somehow they managed to squeeze in a table and two chairs, a small refrigerator, and a coffee maker without making the room seem crowded. They no longer have their breakfast buffet but

I was so happy to here! What a quaint Quiet and comfy little place!🙏🏼❤️ I had my own adorable little cottage. Lots of greenery and a pretty view from my window 🪟 Gone are the days of continental breakfast but… they did have what is called a grab and go bags... You got a total of five items 2 hard boiled eggs cereal milk fruit or a granola bar. The staff was awesome helpful, kind and I even got a late check out 1230 without an extra charge. Also dog friendly
Thank you for making it a nice trip I will absolutely be here again

Upon arriving, there were several (more than 12) transients all around in parking lot! Before checking in, I asked front desk attendant if this is a safe place! His reply "I guess, it's like other places"! He said I could cancel and TRY to get a refund.Tired and frustrated, we stayed. Rooms were nice enough, once we were able to get the door unstuck (had to call staff to help)! At the end of our night I called for a few extra pillows. The same front fest he'll replied, "we're full and we don't have any extra pillow". REALLY!?!
I just wanted a nice,safe place

We slept like rocks. Stevie at the front desk was so accommodating; we were able to leave our bags while adjusting to our flight schedule. Wonderful hot breakfast was included. Excellent location for visiting Old San Diego and great access to the airport. We highly recommend you try out the Old Town Inn!

The Old Town Hotel which is tucked away from Bazaar del Mundo gets 5 Star on all accounts deemed possible. The service is impeccable; from all hotel employees. The front desk is so helpful with a multitude of tasks as in making each room the right one for each individuals needs to giving a tip as in where to find a certain item that was left behind in a sometime travelers rush to get out the door & start their long awaited vacation. An oasis all it's own is in store for those vacationers. Smaller hotel which is nice. Lovely. Laundry facilities available as well. Breakfast is included

This was a last minute stop on my way somewhere else, but what a wonderful motel. It started with my late night check in with Mike, the night guy. He was great and helped up get settled in a short amount of time. Thanks, Mike.
By way of history, the Old Town Inn was built by Mr. Lyon way back in 1945 and was originally a drive-in motel. In terms of location, you might say that the Old Town Inn is at the nexus of several freeway overpasses, the flight path of most of SAN (San Diego Int'l Airport) and a local freight train that can rattle the windows. This location might lead you to believe
