I rented from this property several years ago for my son in college. Very affordable apts., no problem with maintenance. I had no problem getting my security deposit refunded back to me. A list was provided in what was expected. The apt.was located near downtown, hardwood floors, and updated kitchen.

If I could give this LLC no stars I would. This rental company completely disregards their lease agreement and is disrespectful to their tenants. There have been multiple documented instances through my ring camera of property management and maintenance entering my home with less than 24 hour notice or even letting me know that they would be arriving. The basement flooded almost 7-10ft of water and the apartment was littered with mold, to which the landlord insisted was my fault though they did not air out the basement nor treat it for mold with proper chemicals. The sink would consistently leak

This rental company is a scam. They use contractors to do maintenance on their properties and they never fix the issues. They refuse to give you back your security deposit and scam college students out of ever seeing that money again. They have lost rent checks and important documents in the past. This is the worst experience I’ve had with a rental company. Don’t waste your money.

Please review other comments about security deposits: This is a serious issue with Chaney Properties. Please remind yourself that you have rights as a tenant and, if you proceed with this company, TAKE PICTURES of every small detail of the property. Print them, have them on hand, ready to go when you are ready to go.
As a tenant they did right by me for the most part. I did not have any large issues, but small ones where taken care of. They are a bit confrontational, but more like experienced individuals running a small business that doesn't need any nonsense... I get it.

YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. No matter what!
I rented from them several years ago. When I moved in there were cracks in the walls, patches of paint that didn't match quite right where they had covered it before, stains on the carpets. I said it was no big deal and wrote it on the paper of things I saw when I moved in.
Imagine my surprise when they CHARGED ME for all of the issues that were pre-existing once I moved out! They even sent me receipts for all the repairs as I obviously didn't get my $900 deposit back.
So basically how they do business is -YOU will be paying for all of the

Since moving in we have had several issues around our house as it is an older property. The staff have handled them very appropriatly. They have addressed our issues in a very timely manner and have fixed them sufficiently. We have not had issues with maintenance staff or office staff and appreciate their hard work and timeliness.

They have some excellent properties , very sweet ladies/ customer services is great, okay prices but the all over experience was not the best.
My property had a Pest problem, and although I reached out to them several times, it was “treated” twice but the problem persisted.
During move in, I documented all damages and requested they painted the door and above the stove due to PEELING PAINT.....12 months later nothing. After I moved out, I cleaned the property through and replaced fixtures.... BUT WAS CHARGED CLEANING FEES, ALONG WITH A “flea extermination” ...although I never had pets

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! If I could give them no stars I would. This company has an extremely bad office clerk who lacks any professionalism. As a disabled veteran I asked for the steps to the house to be repaired. It nearly turned into a court case as getting the necessary repairs was unbelievably difficult. When it began to get cold, the house we rent had heating issues where the heat worked intermittently. We were told that unless it is below 32 degrees outside they don't consider heating issues an emergency (despite the house be 58 degrees inside). When we point out that is not what the lease

I rented from Chaney Properties my senior year of college with two other seniors. I have no complaints about their service; the house was as they advertised it and very affordable. There were occasionally issues with things in the house (as is to be reasonably expected from any house) and they were always quick to send someone out to have it fixed. I don't think I would recommend renting from Chaney if you are looking for a house to throw wild parties in, but since that's not what I was renting from them for, I was very pleased with the property I rented. I would recommend them to people looking
