Dr. Guzman graduated from Texas A&M University in 2013 and has practiced mixed animal medicine since. Raised in nearby Manor, TX, he enjoyed raising a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and a family dairy cow. He and his wife Kassi live on a farm with their children and Blue Heeler, Tally, and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Preventing disease before it even starts is always the best way to ensure a long healthy life for our pets. Examination by a veterinarian at least every 12 months allows us to detect unnoticed disease conditions as well as recommend appropriate preventative measures such as vaccines and parasite prevention protocols.
Deep Roots Animal Clinic offers large animal services on a MOBILE BASIS ONLY, and requires an appointment. Horses, much like our small animal companions, benefit from annual examination and preventative medicine such as vaccination, coggins testing, deworming protocols and tooth floating. When you schedule with Deep Roots Animal Clinic, we come to you, relieving you of the burden of loading, unloading and hauling your animals.
For emergencies DURING BUSINESS HOURS, please call our main clinic number at (512) 967-1119, and our receptionist will assist you in getting care for your animal. For AFTER HOUR emergencies (between the hours of 5:30pm & 7:30am), please call our main clinic number and our answering service will assist you in getting care for your animal.

My 11 year old dog broke a tooth and needed to be seen. They gave me both a budget friendly option, and more comprehensive option, without being pushy either way. I chose to do the full sedated cleaning due to her age and knowing her teeth were pretty bad. I’ve been going to the same vet for over 10 years and felt that it was time for a fresh set of eyes to take a look at my two pups, Coco and Oscar. We had been struggling to find a vet that treats farm animals, and a friend recommended Deep Roots in Kyle. We have been there twice and seen two different vets. The front office staff was so kind to work us in with an emergency, and we have been blown away with the care and compassion we have been shown by everyone at their clinic. I cannot recommend this vet enough. They also didn’t try and price gouge us. Thank you to everyone at the clinic, you made a stressful day so much easier!

I have multiple cats, dogs, and farm animals. Every single time i've called with an unpected issue or a concern they are always ready and willing to help even if the best they can offer is a drop off appointment (which is very rare Dr. Guzman and his staff always do their best to work me in for an actual appt.) The Service is amazing, the staff is… very kind and welcoming, the facility is clean and doesnt smell lol. Not to mention Dr. Guzman doesnt talk down to you. It's a great clinic, don't get me wrong but they must have gotten rich because they don't feel the need to work on the weekend anymore. They used to only be open one Saturday a month but now they don't even do that anymore. My boyfriend took his dog there ever since he moved here. Well, we would've spent about a $1000 there this upcoming weekend if… they would actually wanting to work and take care of their patients that can not come during the week. Our first appointment was great!!! I am so happy and relieved. We have our first puppy and Dr Guzman, Rachel and the rest of team were friendly, professional, patient and so loving to our pup. I had a ton of questions and they answered all of them with patience. I didn't feel like I was being rushed. The price I paid was very affordable and much cheaper than I expected. I am so thankful. Dr Guzman and all of the staff at Deep Roots were amazing when out 11year old fur baby developed cancer! They were loving and knowledgeable throughout all of our visits. And when the end came for our baby,… they were very supportive and helped us get through an extremely emotional experience.
