So far so good The house is a little dated but nothing a little fixing can do! Some cleaning can be done within the neighborhood as well but other then that no issue

Overall, the some of the staff is nice they help you if you just talk to them like Sophie is the best but the housing is terrible. The rooms always have something wrong with them (wood chipping, holes in walls, uneven paint, kitchen appliances broken, etc) Maintenance request take forever. The “security” gate is always opened meaning anyone and everyone can come in and out as they please. The walls are thin and you can hear the apartment next to you. They charge you for whatever they can find even if they have no proof it can just be word of mouth which is not okay when you have roommates that

I take a one-star review very seriously as it means that there is nothing worse that could have gone wrong. As far as my review goes, this is the case. Please read this as it is very important for all current and prospective residents. Following a lot of the reviews that I have seen, I signed a one-year (11.5 Months as you are not signing for a… full 12-month lease) lease with 49 North. Not touring was an issue on my part but with Covid, I did not think twice. I moved in and my assigned roommates (Who had lived in this apartment for at least a year at this point) told me that the most important

I love living at 49 North, it's very affordable and the atmosphere is safe and friendly. One con that I will point out is how noisy it can get when some tenants are having parties, other than that it's very great place to live.

You get what you pay for. maintenance rarely comes (usually takes a couple weeks for them to actually come fix the issue, if they even do. i’ve been waiting to repair my sink for over a month and now there’s mold). The heat/ac randomly turns on to heat (ever since i moved in it randomly get to 80+ degrees and no one comes to help until a few days after. once it was 89 degrees, waited 3 days for maintenance to come. my roommate and i were so hot that we couldn’t even be in our own apartment for a day. when we turned off the breaker the temperature went down. so when maintenance came, obviously

Worst complex ever! The security gate is always broken. Drugs are everywhere here. When your roommate physically attacks you and you call the cops- don't expect anything from the leasing department. When you break your lease due to duress expect a collections note in the mail! Peeping Toms are also a huge issue here! There is pet crap everywhere, don't try to walk in the grass. Your neighbors are horrible! You 100% get what you pay for and constantly get screwed!
Whatever you do, do NOT live here!

They tell you turn in your keys after calling this dump a home for 2.5 years after racial issues occur in the unit and not to mention I had alot of threats communicated to me, a roommate break into my room while showering, cops called on me for dishes in the sink. don't live here people. they came close to letting a college senior live on the street during a pandemic.

€It does not cost that much to store a car” the exact words a office worker told me after they had my spare car towed for and I quote “a flat tire” since they do not want the apartment complex to have blemishes on the premises. Maintenance workers are timely and the apartments are ok I would recommend somewhere else still but s/o to Haley for being one of the nicest people in the front office.

Do not ever lease here. They do not care about their residents safety or the safety of your property. My car was trashed and my roommate was physically assaulted. They did nothing & did not even evict or fine the individual responsible. There’s constantly cops here for one reason or another whether it be gun shots, fights or whatever else. It is NOT a safe community. Students should feel safe living at an off campus apartment but you DEFINITELY will not feel safe here. Not to mention the management sucks and they never come for repairs or other issues with the apartment. 0/10 would not recommend

Went to pick up my package two days ago in the office which was from Amazon and it was completely opened. Only hanging closed by a string. Absolutely no explanation. I don’t think packages from the provider arrive with the tape literally cut open.

So far so good. No complaints. It’s very quiet over here and I like that not really too much be going on. I moved over here 6/14/19 and my room was clean. Things I needed was minor and they came right away and fixed it. I only met one of my roommates and she is cool. The room is very spacious and the bathroom. I love the fact I have my own bathroom that is a plus and glad to have a washer and dryer. The pool is awesome. I workout every morning so I love the fact the gym is 24 hours. The town homes are around everything shopping centers grocery stores gas stations restaurants etc.Im also glad

I wanted to love this place with a clubhouse and a security gate. I thought it would be an ok start for my oldest son a senior at UNCC. To start there was a pressured sale pitch to have your student move in with incentives changing almost daily. Then if you want a specific roommate, you need to sign virtually at the same time. That is not true. It's a tactic. That should have been the first warning sign. However, after the April 2019 shooting on campus, he and his best friend we're apprehensive about returning. I Should have googled "shooting at 49 North Charlotte" before signing

49 North is knowingly placing residents in apartments with bed bugs. My friend notified the leasing office with 24 hours of the bed bugs, showed pictures, and complained about being bit multiple times. The staff including (Elizabeth Holmes) did not have a sense of urgency to resolve the problem, and advised that nothing could be done until pest… control arrived. He gave them over $1500 upon move in, to be moved into a n infested room. They did not offer to refund him his money or to remove the infested bed, and he was also advised that he could not break his lease. He could only sublease

Just finished my lease I was a tenant since 2013... Over the years I stayed there the WiFi would go out while I would be doing my school work which would cause me to turn in my assignment late. The cable was a joke a lot of the channels weren’t clear and when the weather got bad all the channels would go out smh. The maintenance was pretty good at… getting things taken care of. To top everything off they took most of my deposit because the because the carpet wasn’t brand new which of course is worn down by wear and tear over time and the caulk around the tub was loose which also

This the worst living experience in the UNCC area. We have absolutely no recycling and the worst internet and television in the Charlotte area. It is totally unacceptable for 2015, and I'm writing this review in 2017. They get their internet and television through a satellite company called Am3, that appears to be installed in 2002.This means max… 1.2MBps internet speed. Time Warners cheapest package for 25$ a month gets almost 10 times the speed. The internet stability is poor and constantly cuts out on cloudy days. The tv quality isn't even 720p and most channels are staticy. Modern cellphones

Don't let the gate fool you; if you want to live in a safe place DO NOT live here. I moved into a dirty, unfinished apartment because maintenance forgot to caulk my bathroom or clean my room before I moved in. The apartment was infested with spiders and the walls covered in cobwebs. They do not match roommates at all. Students are placed with non-students unlike what they say to get you to sign the lease. We were placed with a smoker, despite asking for a non-smoking apartment due to severe asthma. They had had problems with this person prior to her re-signing the lease for drug use and aggressive

Lived here for two years and couldn't wait to move out. The phrase "you get what you pay for" perfectly describes this place. The security gate is a joke. It's too easy to follow a vehicle in. They even have a CMPD officer there at night who didn't do much. Shoot outs and loud arguments are normal here too. The only positive thing here is that all the utilities are included in the rent. Strongly think before you sign the lease.

There were some minor issues inside of the apartment when we first moved in regarding the furniture but overall everyone has been very helpful in fixing the problems right away!! I haven't really noticed anything in particular to be worried about when it comes to being safe, but there have been noises at night that are a bit disturbing. Then again I have only lived here for barely two months so I'm not entirely sure if the past reviews apply to this day and time or not.

Management is amazingly helpful and nice, unlike my other apartment complex. My only concerns are the quality of the apartment. Our furniture had burnt cigarette holes in it, my shower rack was broken, my closet door was broken, my dresser drawer was broken, etc.

Living at 49 North is great. I definitely prefer the town home style apartments versus what many other companies offer. My only complaint is that the parking spots could definitely be improved. It's not that there is a lack of space, however the majority of the spots have likes that are far from parallel with each other.

49 North is a great place to live. It's so easy to make friends here because the people that live here are friendly. Every week they have some kind of free food available at Least one day per week. It helps bring us together in a way everyone loves... FOOD! They also have a shuttle going to and from UNCC. It would be nice if it ran past 5 but it is helpful when it is running.

Eeeek. I lived here for a year.....and spent the entire year counting down to my move-out date.

I lived here right before the property got renovated and spent the last month with a renovated unit.

I found this community and liked it at first because it appeared tucked away, had a lot of woods surrounding it (I'm a country girl, so woods in Charlotte are like diamonds in the rough.), and HUGE units for a great price. The office staff, while young and college-y seemed nice enough.

After I signed the lease, many friends told me how notorious this place was. Because it was tucked away and had
