I have been a resident of Sedgwick Gardens for nearly 3 years, and I must say I absolutely love this building! The aesthetics, the decor the feeling of safety that's provided by the 24hr concierge service is unmatched. This is an excellent property and the staff is not only professional, but they are all very friendly and make me proud to call this my home.

I transplanted to DC with hopes of finding a lovely place to call home and living in this this property for the past 1 year and 4 months has been anything but that. Daro Management is a slumlord company and labeling it that is me being considerate and professional.
I would HIGHLY advise extremely thorough research be done on this specific property and every single one of the others under the Daro umbrella BEFORE attempting to be persuaded by its cheapened high resolution altered 'catfish' photos to attract a renters eye. Upon my own research, I have found that Daro Management has been

I had to find an apartment on very short notice. During the showing everyone was masked and very covid safe. Derek Jackson was super helpful and patient with all my many questions from the start, through signing the lease, and beyond. He made the process way easier than any other renting process I have experienced before.

This company has been a complete and total scam. The leasing director told me that I could withdraw a Friday, after hours, application by the close of business Monday and be refunded the $400 holding fee, which would otherwise be used toward rent. I sent in the written request to cancel the application that Monday and now the company has refused to refund the fee. I have been trying for more than a month to get the refund, only to have my emails and phone calls be ignored and the Leasing Director's voicemail box be full. You should never do business with these people unless you're willing

I have lived here since June 2019 and it has been a great experience. The location is perfect: right next to Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo, and a short walk to the center of Mt. Pleasant (farmers market, restaurants, grocery store, coffee shop). The red line is less than a 20-minute walk, and the yellow/green is a 15-minute walk. Bike share and bus stations are within a few blocks. I have really appreciated the access to the hiking and running trails in Rock Creek, and it has been a great bonus to be able to adopt a dog in a dog-friendly building. Very quiet, residential location (though

I lived there for a year and just moved out yesterday due to my job relocating me to New York. Literally the best living experience I've ever had. Amazing service if anything goes wrong, and not even once did they charge me unnecessary fees like other apartments in dc had in the past. The building is always sparkling clean, and no bug or any other issues. Move to 1900 Lamont!

We love living at Lamont Apartments. The staff is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The building is not new but has its own character. Our apartment is fabulous, hardwood floor, high ceiling and soundproof walls, which makes it a very quiet community. Neighbors are very friendly and from all over the world. Close to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. So happy living here, I recommend it!

I began leasing an apartment at a DARO owned property, the Phoenix, in mid-May 2019. Within days I noticed mysterious itchy bites and within a week spotted a bed bug. My exterminator determined the bed bugs had been present in the apartment for months prior. DARO has been a complete and utter NIGHTMARE in helping to remediate this problem. They refuse to reimburse me for the costs I incurred getting them exterminated, and on top of that have been beyond rude, unprofessional and unresponsive. I would not recommend anyone, ever, live in the Phoenix or in any DARO managed property.

Lived at the Parkway at Connecticut and Macomb, about to move out. Just awful. Veritable slumlords. Often do not respond at all to maintenance requests, or if they do, they come to the apartment and declare it not an issue (see other reviews). They have also left my apartment FILTHY after doing repairs - grease everywhere. When I asked them to un-clog my shower drain, they REMOVED the metal piece that allows one to take a bath. My air conditioning unit blows straight up, and does not effectively cool the apartment. When the repair person arrived, his advice to me was to "keep an eye on it

PLEASE READ BEFORE MOVING INTO A DARO MANAGEMENT OWNED APARTMENT: CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!
I lived at the Rodney Apartments where Daro Management was indicted by DC Attorney General Racine for illegally renting out rent-controlled apartments as hotel rooms, didn't pay taxes on them, and was charging hotel guests an exorbitant cleaning fee they were not told about when they checked into the hotel. Daro Management was found guilty and had to pay the residents at the Rodney (including myself) money in damages. Apparently, they think they are going to recoup their money with fraudulent cleaning

I've lived in a couple of DARO apartments in the last few years and I've loved every one of them. The management team made every move-in and move-out seamless and have been so responsive to any issue I've had. The DARO team has made apartment living feel comfortable and convenient and I recommend them to anyone looking to move to the DC area!

I have a daughter that is currently residing in one of the properties Daro manages. Daro has been taking very good care of all her needs and has never left her with a bsd taste in her mouth. Whenever she calls me and I ask about Daro, she has nothing but positive things to say. I have heard nightmarish things about property management companies, so I am thrilled that this is not one if them! Keep up the good work!

I have lived in multiple Daro Apartments over the years. Daro Apartments offers me unique luxury living, all while being close to downtown DC. The convenience of the various apartment locations Daro offers is something unique to them. Even when changing locations, I still get the same Daro quality. The buildings each have a unique design and are luxurious, affordable, and comfortable!

Really disappointed in how Daro turned out in the end. For years I was a loyal tenant. always thoughtful and curious to the staff - in fact I loved the staff we had at Tilden Hall. Some of the best people I've ever met.
When our building began the process of being sold to a developer it's like Daro stopped caring about us. Suddenly we didn't have heat or hot water once a week through the winter. Sidewalks weren't being shoveled and salt wasn't going down during the storms. In the past when things go wrong we complain to the management and they feel bad and would give
