My family an I love to come here , we only live 0.4 miles away from the Hotel but we get a room either across from the spas and pool or facing the deserts view.. the whole family come and we do a mini staycation from home to change the routine a bit…
They are Pet friendly, the Rooms are clean and clear I haven’t ever seen bugs, nothing gross and nasty ..
The hotel has room service until a certain time..
Oh my God their breakfast they serve in the morning are to die for they are so amazing, they are believably priced very inexpensive… I love knowing that if I want to take a dip into one

We really wanted to like this place, but it was a huge disappointment. Specially because it was an anniversary weekend. The facility is simply worn out. Run down. Please see the pictures: layers of chipped paint, door bottoms deteriorating, sink/tub enamel worn off, holes in old furniture, dirty windows, stains on the carpet, worn-out mattress, lost power three times, and after shutting itself off a few times the TV didn't work by the time we left (NONE of this is an exaggeration. NONE!!!). In addition, the pools were not what should've been totally expected. Only one pool out of eight

Oh man, this place is terrible but fantastic too. Where to start? So so so many wrong things about the over-priced hotel room suite that we got, including photos that pretty much sums it up: broken lock (punched in??) on adjoining door and mystery cords fed from under it into our room. Random rolling chair was under door like this. None of the furniture…made sense. (Also: sink had air bubbles entire stay, guest room TV didn’t turn on. Weird carpet stains, etc. Etc. Etc.)
Pools were awesome but also kind of terrible as they seemed not so clean. May return again, but probably to only pay the

Great news!

The Boys (and Lady) are back in Town!

The irreplaceable "G" is back, so are regular hours. Had a blast last night took my son Mark and tried some first time (for me) songs.

"Don't Let Me be Misunderstood"
"Spill the Wine"
"Ventura Highway"
"What you see is what you get"

Sang a few "go-to's" as well.

Daddy's Home
Blue Suede Shoes
Rock this Town
Knocking on Heaven's Door
Cisco Kid
Why can't we be friends
And our closer
"Satisfaction"

The room had a crazy good time.
Nothing beats the feeling

This Spa is not only a 1950's iconic get away for Hollywood celebrities, it is a nearby destination for locals that want a day of fun in the sun. It is truly the next best thing to the Beach ! I have met the most fascinating people from across the world there.
The miracle waters ARE really miraculous ! I broke 4 ribs and I was in severe pain. This spa water is all that helped my pain. My pain was gone within 90 seconds !!!
The staff is excellent and the restaurant has great food & drinks !
You can also see one of my original abstract paintings behind the front desk.

We love this place
This is where we met all those years ago. Mike Bickford is a great man ask anyone. Here in desert hot springs the air is almost as good as the water. Me, Scott I was his own private home inspector for all of his properties and hotels and apartments. And Jeri was front desk then accounting. his accounts payable before she went to work for all of those rich people.

Aw, man. such sadness. a group of us stayed overnite this past Saturday to celebrate our gal pal's birthday - she has loved this spot for a very, very long time. i am so bummed by how badly she/we got let down. yes i read the reviews here & on TripAdvisor, but was holding a spark of hope that our oasis would just be a bit run-down and due for a facelift. yes we knew the place had repairs going on but we DID NOT know they'd be jackhammering ALL DAY SATURDAY. what the actual f*ck?! you can't imagine how loud it was. the beleaguered front desk had their battle face on - sorry, too

The best place to bring your lady friend, a cooler with a 6-pack, towel, sun-screen and get your groove on. It’s a fun place to visit if you are a Marine stationed on active duty at 29 Palms during the spring and summer holidays. It’s even more entertaining if you bring a car load of Marines. The summer of 1994 was spent visiting this place every chance we got to leave the base.

Dishonest Business. This place is disgusting and run down. It's so disgusting that the health department has shut down several sections for the hotel. The owner of the hotel lied about sections being shutdown by the health department saying it is closed due to renovations. The people running this place are very shady.

This place is nasty. When was the last time someone cleaned off the AC. The room next to me is up late banging on walls and screaming, and them up early talking as if they are sitting next to me. This place used to be nice. Turned into something that should be forced to close. You are taking advantage of people by not telling the truth about the condition this hotel is in.

Well the place was never five star but I called to see about a room and I guess the bar and food is closed down by the health department for R and R.
Rats and Roaches and who knows what. Its one thing to get a couple corrections but shut down completely?

The website looks a lot better and I feel catfished. The rooms are so old and dingy. Could use a major deep clean. Seen roaches! Not worth almost $200 a night. I would rather stay in a motel 6. The fold out is broken I had to go buy a blow up mattress so my son had a place to sleep. Not really sure how this place has any stars. Would never stay here again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wish I could give this trash spot ZERO stars. They are running scams and stealing from guests. The police came after I made a report and said it was common from this address. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT COME HERE! They will steal your things and then offer you a new room key saying it's safe now. Security is running a theft operation. I have made a complaint to the BBB and attorney general. This place really should be shut down.

Been coming here for over 10 years and it's always been a blast, super friendly staff and great prices on rooms, the day use has gone up a little but the rooms stayed the same so I recommend getting a room especially if you're going to be staying for a few drinks at the Bar or to enjoy the DJ, Karaoke Night (Thursdays) or just meeting a bunch of random people from all around the world. HUGE shout out to Bruce the Lifeguard, he's always in a good mood and doesn't make us feel like we're in trouble when he's walking by lol.. Great Job DHS Spa Team!!

Dirty, cloudy pools that are falling apart. Tiles are missing or coated in brown grime all around the pools. Pool bottoms are chipping away. Found a random pill by the bed and trash. Flooring in the bathroom was caving in. Some friendly and helpful staff are the only thing redeeming about it- minus the cafe staff. Been coming here for over 30 years and it just has gone way downhill. Just don't have high expectations if you visit. I don't recommend it. The owner seems to have given up on the place. It's not the gem it use to be.

Griselda (The Roadrunner Bar) is a natural beauty in this vintage setting. My waitress this morning was over-the-top excellent in every way. And the pancakes were delicious and the bacon, crispy. The cook sang along to the classic rock which I thoroughly enjoyed. Wait staff was to perfection. I was her first customer (7:00 am).

The hotel needs some love. I looked at some other reviews and I cringed while reading them. But the employees are dedicated.

The owner needs to ask for investment capital to keep this gem alive. I'm being kind. It needs work. The only saving grace is the nostalgia

I was on an unexpected trip and going through a rough patch and needed a room, last minute. Very happy I called DHS Spa Hotel. I have been to the hotel a couple of times previously and the staff always treat me great and with kind hospitality. This time was no different. The manager, Nadine went above and beyond to be sure I was well taken care of. When I arrived, the gift shop was closing. I needed some items and Nadine assured me that the gift shop would stay open and wait for me while I put my bags in my room. The gift shop attendant, I believe her name is Rose, was also exceptionally kind.

Nice, Relaxing Spa with Celebrity History

Longer Review

We visited Southern California - Palm Desert, Yucaipa, and Malibu - for Spring Break 2021.

One day while the kids and I were having a day of fun racing cars at Willow Springs International Raceway with Extreme Speed Track Events, my wife and her cousin had some relaxing fun on their own.

The decor is authentic 1950s/1960s, with celebrity photos adorning the walls.

They have several pools for relaxing... one dedicated cold pool and eight dedicated pools with various temperatures of warm water

The staff was very
