I have been living at the Island Palms complex close to 2 years now, and all I have to say is that they have been nothing short of fantastic. I would like to commend the efforts of the Front Office Manager Amber. As she has been with me through two difficult roommates. Always helping me by providing information/options, understanding of my situation throughout the Covid-19 crisis, being attentive to service issues I have had, and just being an overall kind person. The units themselves are very clean, nice upgrades to the cabinets, and floors. I would highly recommend Island Palms for anyone looking

Lived here for three years, the last year there was change in the staff and communication and service definitely suffered. Prior to that staff was attentive and took care of any issues promptly. Other than that I found the community to be quiet and neat. Just make sure you get everything in writing!

Island palms doesn't even deserve 1 star. The management is the worst and unprofessional. For example- one day I asked about parking because your parking spot is far from your apartment, so I simply asked about it because I have bad knees. Fast forward to move out day- I asked for papers to move out and Amber(Manager) says "Is it because of the parking!" I should have said yes. Since day one management was super rude, red flag ignored. I had lived in this apartment complex for years. Amber; the property manager is very unprofessional, rude, talks in circles and completely lies to you. She does not care about her tenants, always puts the blame on you, rarely answers the phone/emails, and talks down to everyone. Upon moving out, do not expect to get your security deposit back, and expect for them to charge you more. Maintenance does not answer their phones either, and takes forever to repair anything (if they do- they will come and “fix” it, however, it is not ever really “fixed” and the problem will continue). Never received rental deposit. Upon inquiring was told by very unprofessional and nasty apartment manager that a letter was sent to me which I never received. After inquiring an e-mail was sent by apartment manager claiming I owed money And it was sent to collections. I was charged for electricity and 'leaving 3 days late'. Michael Morrison the maintenance man did a walk through the day after I left. I put all the apartment keys in a lockbox September 30, 2020 as instructed by amber brock (a Wednesday). Horrible customer service! EEEEEEK! AMBER the "assistant manager" picks up the phone miserably. Asking her to do her job is a nuisance (her words not mine)!! I apologize for interrupting your day, I sure hope the next renter thinks twice cause I could not imagine being stuck with this type of customer service for any lease term!! Her manager was supposedly sitting right next to her but I really hope her manager wouldn't allow that type of behavior from her staff! SMH.

Had the pleasure of working with Kristina in the leasing office. She really went out of her way to make everything convenient for me and my guy to move in. With a busy schedule it’s nice to have a apartment complex go the extra mile. Two weeks before move in I changed my mind and wanted the upgraded apartment( man am I glad I did that too) the other one was nice but the upgraded we just loved so much more. Great price point. Good location. Maintenance requests were handled timely and professionally. Office staff was great (Shout out to Kristy). If there was an issue that was hard to handle, they did their best to accommodate a solution.
It is the second month of us moving out of Island Palms, and I felt an urge to write this review because: I miss it.

This is the second time we have rented here. The first time was 7 years ago. After moving away we were pleased to find Kristy was still there and now is the manager. This is a gated community. The apartment buildings consist of 4 lowers and 4 uppers. One of the best aspects of this complex is the landscape. They do their best to make this place feel like home. We were pleased to find some of the same tenants living there that we knew from 7 years ago.

Do not rent here. This is a dangerous place. There was at least one shooting within the first year of living here. The units are run down, drafty, and the appliances are as old as the complex. The air conditioning barely works. The management is horrible and not interested in you. There's a reason people leave shortly after renting. Stay away.

We have stayed here for a a while now and are waiting for our lease to end so we can get out of here! The manager is extremely rude. The walls in the apartments are awful! We can hear the people beneath us and to the side of us having conversations. Our neighbors get the cops called on them regularly because of domestic dispute. Yet they still live here... There is little parking for the back apartments. Crime here is nuts. Totally disappointing!!!
