I cannot say enough good things about this studio. Visiting from out of town and felt SO welcomed. Took Dylan’s class and felt beyond blessed to practice with him. I was out of yoga for over a year and I could not have asked for a better space to start practicing. Made me feel like I never missed a beat. This is a salt

Beautiful and peaceful studio with amazing instructors. I am a newbie in every sense of the word with zero background in yoga and always have a great time learning and growing in this tight knit atmosphere. All the classes that I have attended and instructors are great that I have worked with. Don't miss a class with Erin Sanders as the instructor, her passion for yoga and helping others infectious. She is such a bright spirit with a love of life!

I came here because of the yelp event. I'm so glad I get to know this place. I did hot yoga and it was great!!!! I never felt this good after the yoga. I sweat so much and I felt good afterward
Room - definitely meant for hot yoga. It a bit humid, and no fan. Don't take it wrong. I loved it. They set it perfectly for the hot yoga. Room was big for everyone. It was full of people but didn't feel like crowded that much. There are more room for the other actors as well. ( I think)
Instructions - it was a bit difficult. Maybe this hot yoga class is meant for pros. Yoga instructor

The space, as others have mentioned, is wonderful. Their mats are awesome (able to rent) and they provide towels for free. I am into a combination of lifting, running, and yoga for my workouts. For months, I thought squatting was hurting my back, so I continued to back off (with no improvement). I went on vacation and didn’t workout for over a week. I go to a yoga class and experience this pinching sensation in my lower back afterwards. It clicked that the months of back pain wasn’t due to squats but the yoga classes! After further thinking, I realized these classes weren’t providing enough

I made the mistake of going to the "Detox Flow" class, thinking it was yoga, but it really wasn't. No poses were really held, it was really a boot camp class where you're pushed and pushed and pushed wayyyyy too far to enjoy it. I threw up in the bathroom afterwards because it was too much and I've been practicing for 10+ years and do high intensity work outs on the regular. I really think a balance needs to happen in any workout, moments of cooling down (especially in a hot class), need to happen.
Anyways, avoid that class if you're looking for yoga.

I decided to visit this studio as I am travelling from Southern California and they were the first studio I found in the city. I am so glad I got to experience my first hot yoga classes with this studio. I came to two different classes and both were wonderful in their own respect. I think the classes would have been a bit more frustrating if I never practiced vinyassa or flow before but since I have, I was able to integrate into the classes well and just let go. I loved the views from the studio and everything was clean and very professional while still feeling like a community studio.

Instructors are a little suspect. I had an ok experience with one and then an absolute atrocious experience with another. (Like run out the class). I knew I was in trouble when they asked us to march in place. I was severely concerned for the lack of instruction and guidance for this "all levels" class.
Showers, nice changing room, beautiful view.
Don't think I'll be back.

The community at Salt Lake Power Yoga is excellent! As a new transplant from the east coast, one of the first things I wanted to find was a yoga ‘home’. I tried a variety of studios in the area and although i had never done hot yoga before, this place had the warmest and most welcoming staff. I also found the practitioners to be equally as pleasant. In terms of the classes, with different instructors you do get a different experience so i would suggesting trying several to find which classes you enjoy the most. All have a general pattern from Sun A to Sun B into standing poses then working

Positive: They have a regular class schedule that is basically the same every day, so if you are not able to make it to yoga on Monday you can catch the same class on Tuesday. All classes are all pretty much the same structure and routine. There are some teachers that are more preferred than others, but they are pretty much the same teaching style with some teachers adding their own flare and jazz. They also organize regular specialty workshops and yoga events that are really cool and fun.
Negative: Some classes are so full, and they do not count the number of people in the class accurately. This

I am so glad that I found SLPY! I have been coming to the studio for about a year and it has been a life-changing experience. All the trainers are adept at what they do and provide great feedback and tips for enriching your yoga practice. They offer a diverse range of classes including PowerFlow, Restore, Meditation and the more unconventional PowerDetox and PowerFit classes. I would highly recommend SLPY to anyone who is looking for a refreshing, grounding, and spiritual yoga experience.

The teaching team is amazing. I always feel welcome even when I come by myself. I love their summer classes outside of the main building (roof top yoga, City Creek yoga by fountain, etc.) They offer free classes, which gives you a chance to get to know the team. One time there was almost 600 people on the roof top of the library. You would think it will be annoying to be so close next to somebody else, but trust me it was so much fun to watch sunset with all of them! Must at least try. They are the Best in salt Lake!

Located in the heart of downtown, this place has a lot of character. I tried an intro month at SLPY and loved my experience. The teachers here will go out of their way to help you. I'm not new to yoga, but I approached an instructor after class seeking some advice on inversions--she provided excellent guided instruction and worked with me 1:1 on my balance/alignment. Whether you are new to yoga or a yogi looking to deepen your practice, this place is a great option!
Other pros: ample parking, super clean studio, friendly staff, awesome views

I am visiting from out of town and am really pleased by the studio. I love the natural light coming through the huge windows, but do worry that if you don't get there early you may find yourself practicing in full blown sun. It has great shower facilities without feeling like a gym.
The music was a little loud for my taste, often making it hard to hear the instructor but the flow was great.
I'm looking forward to going back.

I have lived in Salt Lake for about 2 years now and have been to several different studios trying to find the right one to fit me and my practice. My first experience at Salt Lake Power Yoga was last summer during teacher training, and I instantly loved everything about it. Not only is the studio clean and organized, but the view is incredible. I have truly enjoyed each class with each teacher... all of them bringing something fun and different to my practice, while encouraging to make it about me and what my body needs. There is something so gratifying and powerful about hot sweaty yoga that really

As someone that was apprehensive to try yoga at first, I loved SLPY from my first experience. The nice atmosphere made me think it may be somewhat pretentious and I could not have been more wrong. The owners and teachers are some of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Jen, Marc and Kerry know what it means to make someone feel welcomed and appreciated as a client. Although my exposure to yoga may be somewhat limited, my exposure to branding and community is not. They are doing all the right things to build an amazing brand and an amazing community!
