Jim Connelly enjoys every aspect of inspecting homes, ranging from meeting new people to providing detailed inspection reports. He's been helping Durham Area residents as a dedicated home inspector since 2015, but his history of excellent customer service spans more than 30 years. As the owner/operator of St. James Home Services, Jim personally handles every detail of the home and commercial inspection process.

Jim is a true professional, kind, patient, thorough, and a teacher. He listens to his customers regarding major areas of concerns and inspects to confirm. I had the pleasure to spend almost 7 hours with Jim as he inspected and educated me during a recent inspection of a property we have under contract. I was incredibly impressed with the thoroughness In which Jim inspected the house we were purchasing. He took the time to kindly go over what he had found in person at the property, provided an incredibly detailed report that was easy to access and review and made requesting repairs of the owners super easy. It provided peace of mind in the buying process and I’d happily recommend Jim to anyone!

We used Jim for a home inspection on a manufactured home we had an offer on. He was incredibly thorough and detailed, explained any concerns/questions we had. Jim did a great job with the home inspection that I ordered. He was very personable, a clear and enthusiastic communicator, and provide a seamless and professional experience. I joined Jim on the 5 hour inspection. It was clear to me that he has a great deal of experience and training. Jim pointing things out to me, and I learned a lot. Jim performed a home inspection for us and I followed him most of the day. I was please at his level of expertise in multiple areas. He was very thorough and ensured all areas were inspected.
