BEWARE!! They say they accept your insurance on assignment, meaning they will not expect payment above what your insurance allows. NOT TRUE. I have paid the total they charge for refraction and not been reimbursed for the difference when insurance claim is processed, defining a lesser amount. They claim I am not due any sum and subsequent repeated phone calls to the office are ignored. Their services are fine but I DISTRUST their accounting practices. I have moved to another optometrist, who only charged me for the amount allowed by my insurance.

Tried to schedule last week but was told to call back because they were too busy admitting patients. Called back today only to find they do not accept my insurance. This is something that could have been determined last week when I called if only the person answering the phone had taken just a couple of minutes to ask a few simple questions and/or possibly schedule an appointment. I waited to speak to them because they were a referral from a trusted friend. So much for waiting...

Dr. de Sabra has been my ophthalmologist for almost 10 years now. She has consistently impressed me with her expertise, kindness, and caring—all the qualities I hope for in a physician. My low rating is 100% for the administrative staff. My insurance card said I had a copay, I was expecting a copay but at the time of service was told that I had a deductible. I know insurance if wonky and agreed to pay because maybe they bill as a facility and not a regular doctor office.
Once my EOB came back, it showed copay. I tried 3 times over 2 weeks to get a hold of someone in billing and no one returned my phone calls. I called the main office to see if I had a credit on my account, was told that I did not. Finally was able to reach someone through the portal and received a rude

Serious lack of social distancing measures in place. Another practice (Austin Retina) on the same floor of the same building has a screening procedure in place before allowing patients to enter their office, but Broberg Eye Care chose NOT to implement a protocol (& there is no screening upon entering the building).
There were four different parties sitting in the tiny Broberg office waiting area upon my arrival, and this was after I was told that appointments had been appropriately

Crooks.
Dr. Settle was great and kind. However, the front office staff did not tell me they did not accept my insurance. Ran me through a complete examination anyway. At full price. Had me come back in four days just to be sure of the prescription. Charged me AGAIN. Crooks. Ouch! Never to forgive dishonesty. Dr. Settle deserves better.

It is a sad day when I have to leave a review like this for a doctors office when the actual physician may not be aware of how his or her patients are treated. I'm leaving this eye practice after the 3rd and final time of a serious lack of caring and concern on the part of their front office. When I showed up this past week 4 minutes past their "15 minute cutoff" due to rain, accidents and heavy traffic, the woman at the front had zero regard for me-in fact she ignored me completely and proceeded to train a new employee to reschedule my appointment for another day or time. I went to Broberg EyeCare after researching and being told I would not be a candidate for any vision correction. Dr. McGlathery was thorough and explained what I could and could not have done and gave me hope. The receptionist and l the technicians were awesome and thorough.
I would like to say to Sara (check out) I overheard a conversation and the patience and calmness she displayed was amazing. She handled the call very gracefully and did not get upset. Sara you are amazing

As much as I admire my physician Dr. De Sabra, I hate that I have to come to this very dysfunctional practice to consult with her.
On my visit to the practice yesterday, I was yet again amazed by how rude the front office staff is. When I walked to the window, the receptionist asked me for my last name without any form or greeting. She did not even bother taking her eyes off her iPhone to look at me or establish Eye contact.

I've been seeing Dr. Broberg for seven years. I am a type one diabetic, so it's critical that I have an excellent opthomalogist. Well, Dr. Broberg is just that.
He's performed two surgeries. Before I will allow anyone to operate, I must feel confident and relaxed. He did an amazing job. He is a wonderful doctor for a diabetic.
He is also very thorough and cares about my well-being and health. I couldn't ask for a better doctor.

I first visited Dr. Broberg and Dr. Settle some years ago when I had a tiny abrasion on my cornea which was causing me intense pain. The doctors got me sorted out and all fixed up.
I've visited again since then for a couple of eye exams and (like Tara M.) a last minute appointment for Iritus (which I've had a couple times before).
Good Docs.
Also - if you don't have insurance they offer a small discount.

On this day of Giving Thanks for what we are Thankful for I would like to Thank Dr. Broberg and his staff for my vision or more simply my ability to see out of my left eye today.
Last weekend I woke up feeling like I had a Migraine isolated in my left eye. I had all the symptoms of a migraine in my eye severe light sensitivity, pressure pain and PAIN in my eye!
